Location was excellent. The old historic building is beautifully presented with lovely decor. The breakfast arrangement was different to anything we’d experienced before but was plentiful. Electric blanket on the bed was thoughtful. The view from our balcony at the front of the building was great.

A fly screen on the opening window would have been nice as we like to sleep with the window open even when it’s cold. In relation to the breakfast start times, there was several times in the provided information which was a little confusing. Breakfast start time of 8 am with a little late for us and the window to start breakfast was only 45 minutes.thereafter. The breakfast is presented in a different way to most hotels and we felt the information about what to expect could’ve been a little clearer, nonetheless the breakfast was excellent.

Do not have the convenience of a conventional hotel like a 24 hour front desk, daily cleaning service nor a lift. No prior email or messages about the check in procedures, check in starts at 2 pm but staff are present in the hotel up to 2 pm. So we have to do self check-in. No prior warnings about this and the entry code and other check in details were only received via a message on Booking.com. So make sure you have mobile data and internet connections when checking in. Separately just a small point, for the sake of the environment, suggest not to use small bottled toiletries. About the breakfast, it is not buffet style, nice food but would prefer to have more choices for bread and fruits.

I love staying at The Florance, it is my favorite place to soak in the magic of Launceston. Just across the road from beautiful City Park, and easy walking distance to everything. The Florance is a stunning heritage property gracefully renovated with a crisp yet warm interior. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and private. The communal guest lounge and dining is a stunning light filled atrium where breakfast is cooked for you upon request, with a generous buffet of cereal and fruit. I would highly recommend staying at The Florance to any Traveller it is a joy to experience in itself and makes your Launceston adventures feel very special.

We couldn’t fault anything about our stay! From the moment we arrived, Kate was incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. It's clear that Kate truly enjoys what she does, and this energy was reflected in her wonderful staff as well. The service was impeccable, and we felt right at home throughout our entire visit. The location was also fantastic – perfectly situated with easy access to everything we wanted to explore. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable and hassle-free stay. The Florance is a beautiful Heritage building, even more beautifully renovated, the dinning room and conservatory, are warm, inviting and have a plethora of information on Tassie. The breakfast bag was a great idea which included healthy fruit and Muesli bars, with additional boiled eggs and toast, jam, and avocado, served fresh by Kate and Sophia each morning. Kate is extremely professional, and helpful with a wealth of knowledge on Tassie, we would highly recommend The Florance, and would certainly like to come back

This boutique hotel was very welcoming. Easy self check in, room was comfortable with appropriate amenities. Free onsite parking. Breakfast was included and was more than satisfactory. Cereal, fruit, boiled eggs to your liking and sourdough toast, as well as coffee and tea. Staff were 5 star. Highly recommended, especially as it is an easy 5 minute walk into town. Many pubs and good restaurants in the area. City Park is across the road and Saturday Harvest Markets are a short walk away.

Nothing about this property is a negative.

The bed was comfortable and the staff friendly. When I had a query it was attended to quickly. The location was excellent and parking easy. We made use of the games in the conservatory.

We were disappointed that they served supermarket bread at breakfast. A nice sourdough would have made a big difference. Also we brought home some cheese and biscuits and there were no facilities in the conservatory such as cutlery, plates etc. and we were unable to turn off the radio to enjoy the quiet atmosphere of the conservatory.

The place and staff are exceptional - super friendly, super accommodating. The place feels very peaceful and not like a busy motel or appearing clinically stereotypical of a hotel/motel. Good location to town and coffee etc. I had a flight leaving in the evening, and as there was space and it was not very busy I was allowed to use the facility and the common area until my flight. I was essentially allowed a free late checkout as my room was not being used. This was very helpful to me. I had a lovely conversation the girl who made my breakfast. The breakfast was simple, healthy and delicious - there was nothing wrong with it, although the only comment is that the salt had a fish-like flavour to it which is not my preference but nonetheless did not impact the stay in anyway,

We had an incredible stay at the Florance. We only stayed one night but wish we could of stayed longer. The property was just beautiful and had everything we needed. The amenities were great and the bed was so comfy - I had a great night sleep which was exactly what I needed for my half-marathon which I ran the next morning! The communication with staff was prompt. Kate allowed us to have a late check-out and was very accommodating. We unfortunately couldn't stay for breakfast but was provided with coffee/tea and cereal to fuel me before my run. We loved our stay at Florance and will definitely be back when we visit Launceston again. Thanks Kate and Toby!

Nothing - couldn't fault it!

The Florance is just opposite City Park which is a lovely place to walk and sit during the hot part of the day. It's also an easy walk to restaurants and to the Museum at Inveresk. Our room was very comfortable - it provided two suitcase racks; many places only provide one. We had a couple of armchairs so that we could sit in our room if we wanted, but the breakfast area also had seating and we used that on occasion. The room was also very quiet. The breakfast area is light and open and the breakfast provided was very much to our taste. All the staff were friendly and helpful and the old part of the house is lovely - what's not to like?
