Location good if have car and/or level of fitness for ascending/descending (almost) vertical slopes within the property and top end of York street. Brisk 20min walk downhill to city centre but (maybe challenging) steep slope on return - stop off at “Samuel Pepy’s” (cnr George/York streets) for coffee break. In a good sized “deluxe queen” room - very comfy queen bed, good quality towels/sheets, near new carpet, modern furniture, large tv, fresh white paint throughout & newish blockout curtains. Also quiet except early morning garbage trucks over which the “Coach House” has no control of course.

The property is old and reflected in the older style bathroom & separate toilet & kitchen areas Cleanliness was poor - take a cleaning kit! Toilet not cleaned, surface dust and cobwebs, dirty bin etc Free parking provided however the carpark is a 90 degree slope in places so hang onto your suitcases. Lots of stairs no lifts

We enjoyed the traditional motel style of the room, located in a street with many beautiful old buildings. It was quiet and comfortable. The heating was good. There were enough beds for 6 people, separate bathroom, and small dining table, mini fridge, microwave and tea/coffee making facilities. Internet worked well. TV can be watched from small dining table or from beds. Matthew at reception was very genuine and ensured we had a good stay. He promptly posted back some items my son left in the room and made us feel like it was no problem at all. It's a low priced accommodation, focussing on providing the basics, but has a comfy and charming traditional motel style.

Can't think of anything we didn't like.

Terrific central location. Easy walking distance to central locations on city. You do need to be prepared for a hill, but nothing a fit walker couldn’t easily handle. The views from the top floor were stunning. And I loved the old coach house vibe and experiencing part of the city’s history. The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful.

I expected a desk from visual advertising of the room. As I had to run a small business remotely during my stay, this was missed. But I was able to improvise.

The room was clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable. The tv worked and there were facilities for coffee and tea, The location was close to the city and shops. There were facilities for washing and drying my clothes.

They had an option to get the team to refresh the room. I went to reception and book it in for the next day. The next day, I returned to my room and it was not done. I went to reception and asked why and they said sorry that it was missed. I had to ask for more things for the room.

Good price, comfortable hotel. It fitted our requirements to Launceston for our weekend visit, for a relatives birthday celebration elsewhere. We were there only literally to sleep. It was very quiet and the beds were comfortable. It had a nice view. We booked 3 Queen size rooms for 2 nights for 5 Adults.

On initial booking I requested at least 1 or 2 of the 3 rooms we booked to be on the ground or lower floors, as my 90 year old dad was 1 of the guests and doesn't do stairs very well. On check in we were given 3 rooms on the 3rd floor. Luckily Dad managed to get up the stairs with help. The driveway and parking is quite steep, so probably not really good for elderly people. Note: there are no lifts on site. We managed the minor hiccups and had a nice stay.

Property is in a great location on the edge of the CBD and I had a great view out of the room over the Tamar river and some of Launceston. Bed was comfortable and warm, nice big room with queen bed, plus some chairs and a small coffee table. Separate toilet from the bathroom is great as well. Rob on the front desk was mega! Helped me out when I had to stay an extra few nights. Just the right guy on the counter. Saw Matt quite a few mornings on my stay and always said gday and was cheerful and happy to have a chat. Thanks guys for the hospitality!

I had accidently booked for the wrong day, Matthew down in reception sorted us out, so we were still able to have somewhere to stay on the day we arrived. He was a great help, and we couldn't thank him enough for sorting us out. He was very friendly, welcoming and understanding of our situation. Without Matthew helping us we would have had an awful start to our holiday; he went above and beyond.

Everything was great, we were extremely happy with our stay.

The Coach House we wonderful. The room was a good size and the bed super comfortable. The room was well equipped and very clean and open.

When we booked a ground floor room for my disabled husband we assumed the shower would be a walk in one. Unfortunately, the shower was over a bath. When we asked about this they told us the ground floor rooms all had showers over the bath, but the upper floors had walk in showers. It seems a little bit backward to us.

The room was large open & airy. Good bathroom & liked the separate toilet. Comfy bed & nice squishy pillows. Man at reception very nice & extremely helpful getting my TV to work for me. Good to see tea & coffee were complimentary in the room.

As an older lady I found it difficult lugging my suitcase up 3 lots of stairs to my room. I also found the door hard to unlock. I was disappointed that there were no bottles of water or a soft drink available in the room's fridge plus there were no tissues or a face washer provided.

The rooms were great comfortable, fabulous view from room. Service was excellent Matthew is excellent at his job and knows what he's doing and gives easy instructions and is really funny I recommend everyone to stay here for a get away or somewhere to stay. 10/10 for everything And an outstanding 10/10 for Matthew service putting a smile on everyones face and giving easy instructions.
