The location among the trees miles from anywhere. The cosy log cabin with pot belly style heater, underfloor heating in the bathroom. The main lodge is a magnificent log cabin with several open log fires and a lovely ambience. The staff were exceptionally friendly. The place seems to be run by one family who do everything.
Not so much a dislike but scope for improvement. The menu was fairly basic and the same each night we were there. Some meals ran out. Considering the guests were obliged to eat in because of the lengthy single lane dirt road access, and distance from other dining options, an improved menu would be appreciated, especially if staying several nights. We thought it was rather expensive.

It was a peaceful bush setting with walks directly from the Lodge. Three walks rated as easy and two rated as hard, no moderate walks. The room was basic but comfortable with a verandah overlooking the bush. Less tourists than the Cradle Mountain area. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We saw pademelons and a juvenile echidna in the wild. Pademelons also come up to the lodge area in the evening when the staff feed them raw vegetable scraps.
There were no cooking facilities in our room and the meals in the restaurant were below average. There were no other options but to eat at the lodge restaurant as too far and too difficult a road to drive out. $59 for minimum two courses. The cabins are on stilts and we felt quite a bit of movement when people walked around (or rolled over in bed!). Fortunately, no one was in the cabin adjoining ours.

The secluded, quiet stillness of the location made the experience peaceful. The gravel drive to the retreat was surrounded by forest and lovely views. We also appreciated the warm welcome from the staff, and the chef who was happy to be inclusive & accommodating of people who have food intolerances. There is a clear sense of community in this place, and it added to the experience we had. The cabin and the dining room were lovely and cosy. This location also is around 30min give or take away from the Cradle Mountain National Park and it's walks.
My only mention would be that because of the remote location, access to phone signals and their wifi is more limited than less remote areas. The main reception building that has the dining room, is where wifi is strongest. This shouldn't be a concern for most guests, as the purpose of a retreat is to escape the trappings of the outside world 😊

If there was a higher score than 10 this hotel deserves it . Tracy and her team were absolutely amazing and nothing was to much trouble . Everyone so so friendly . Tracy makes the best hot chocolate 🤣. Food was excellent . Wd ate in the restaurant 2 nights , food was very good and tasty . Breakfast was also excellent . The lodge looked so pretty as it was all decorated for xmas and playing all the Xmas songs really added to it . Don’t be put off by the dirt track drive down to the lodge it is so so worth it . Thank you Tracy and team for an amazing stay . Also in the evening they feed the wild animals which was so lovely to see .

Location, all meals had at the restaurant were excellent and the chalet we had was very comfortable and clean
We spent two nights there, and ordinarily, if you stayed one night, it would not have mattered, you would not have been any wiser, and I'm not complaining as all meals were excellent. However, this is feedback to the chef. We had ordered arrancini as entree and we received 4 balls, and poached pear which was a whole pear for dessert the 1st night. The other couple ordered the same the 2nd night and and the arrancinis received were 3 and the pear was no longer whole but only half a pear. It was all very delicious, however, this says that there is no consistency in this area.

I really loved how I was able to disconnect from everything when I was there. I could purely enjoy my stay in a lodge and in the forest!! I arrived too late for dinner. However, the breakfast exceeded our expectations, and just the vibe and building where we had our breakfast were so nice. I loved it so much!! I would recommend people to arrive to the accommodation before dark so you won't get lost like us hahaha
The only thing I didn't like or struggle with was the location. Because we arrived at the place late at night, at 8pm, the surroundings were pitch dark, and we couldn't see anything without our car lights. I think GPS (Google Maps) told us another way to get to the accommodation and led us through a dark, muddy road. Luckily, we both got skeptical and did not head into the muddy road. We were able to find the right location as we drove a little further down to find the signs. Other than that, everything about this accommodation was amazing!!

This place was FANTASTIC! The value for money is incredible. We had a room that included a spa and even a massage chair which wasn’t expected! The gas fire was super warm and the whole atmosphere was great. Felt like a very fancy resort which we weren’t expecting! The staff were incredibly friendly - especially Cosmo! The food is 10/10 and great value for money. The lodge is very gorgeous and the walking tracks are well maintained with beautiful views! Very close to cradle mountain as well. The games room is a nice touch as well in case it’s bad weather.
I have nothing to say! Everything was 10/10!

Beautifully located, well maintained, and super friendly staff. The facility is great, the availability of a game room keeps young kids entertained. The breakfast provided is excellent. I heard not all rooms have access to WiFi, we were lucky to be put in a room that has very good connections. I had the best sleep in the cabin. We really enjoyed our stay and will surely come back again!
Nothing. Even though a full cooktop would have been ideal but the provision of a electric cooker meets the needs well

The location of the property is the best part of the experience. You can enjoy the surrounding wilderness and bush without the crowds. The trail walks were well established and beautiful, especially Bridal Veil falls. The food in the restaurant is very good with generous breakfast options. The staff are friendly and helpful. The log cabins are delightful and quiet with comfortable beds.
The 8km gravel road to the property creates a lot of dust on you car but it’s worth the effort.

The location is amazing, never have i been so remote and beeen so immersed and comfortable in nature
They need to do a better job with the food. Dinner was just not at the level i expected for the price and the cost of the accomodation. I will return because of how beautiful the location is and bring our own food to cook in the chalet. Breakfast was ok just but they need to improve their food alot more . The chalet heating needs to be adjusted, defintiely hot enough but it needs to be zoned and you need to be able to turn down the fan.
