Good location, quite big room with bathroom (shower) and fridge. It is clean and helpful front desk without smile...

Room 218 hand basin hot water tap is not working. Bed is too soft. House keeping did not make up our bed on 2nd day. No shower gel. No view.

Very comfortable bed and spacious room and bathroom. The staff were very accommodating and helpful when we had to store our luggage for the day.

Due to unexpected issues beyond their control, I had a cold shower in the morning which was very unpleasant when trying to wash my hair. I mentioned it when checking out and they explained they had only found out about the issue a short time earlier and had rectified the problem. I asked for compensation but had to follow this up after our trip home. Pleasingly they offered a discount and reimbursed me 10%. I am happy to recommend the hotel based on their willingness to act in good will when issues arise.

No noise. Comfortable bed. Towels changed every day and room serviced. Close to free bus loops to Bus and Train stations. Close to Woolworths. Pleasant staff. Close to cheap eating places for dinner.

Wi fi was weak. I had to use my own dongle. I was unable to get emails and Facebook posts on Criterion Wi fi. It was a bit spooky on the street after dark. But it was ok. Had to walk around certain characters and be street wise. I thought the accomodation was over priced. Similar places in Sydney and Adelaide are easily $20 - $30 per night cheaper.

The location was great, 9 minutes' walk from Perth station and plenty of restaurants and takeaway shops nearby. Room was large and beds were comfortable. Room was clean and air-conditioning worked well. Room was serviced daily (but had to put the sign on the door requesting it).

Although it was very clean, the fittings and fixtures were very worn. Carpet was threadbare in places and paint peeling off the walls. Shower was a little fiddly and difficult to get the temperature right. In the street outside the hotel, there were a few people sleeping rough and just hanging around. This was a little intimidating, but I never had any trouble. To be fair, this happens all over Perth city, and the hotel can't do anything about it, but just be aware.

We loved our large room, comfy beds. High ceilings. Aircon worked well. Great location close to the Malls, short walk to railway station and wharf area for ferries and restaurants. Overall it was functional, friendly staff and housekeeping, good supply of coffee making sachets etc.

It was a bit dated and in need of a refresh. TV was an older type flat screen that wasn't a smart TV. Bathroom was in need of new facilities. Overall it was functional.

Location was perfect. Free City Clipper in front of the Hotel. Only 10 minutes walk and you reach lots of interesting spots, example - Kings Park, City, shops, ferry, culture centre, train station...

I have been in the Hotel before, so I know what to expect. Its an old building but very clean, Every one was very friendly and helpful, so NO COMPLAINS

The helpfulness and friendliness of the staffs special mentioned staff William from Indonesia and Arina from Singapore . Both helped me in directing how to go to my destination and finding pharmacy when I need to buy medication. William arranged a quieter room after knowing I am a light sleeper Arina allowed me to put luggage at storage room first instead of I bringing up to my room because tour bus was waiting . Appreciate it Before my arrival in perth , criterion hotel already assured my booking and settled the refund issue instead of my own bank in my country Personally I like the security in Criterion, witnessed how William asked the person outside the main door , those questions carefully before opening the main door Thank you Criterion hotel

WiFi , connection not stable

We got the standard, not renovated room, and were actually surprised for the better. While it's definitely dated, I do appreciate the advantages: right in the center of downtown - very comfortable location, the staff is kind, reasonably clean, dated but fine bathroom (what's with that curtain?). There's a kettle for coffee and tea, a minifridge, a safe, a closet, a TV, AC and stable wifi - so the facilities aren't bad actually. You can park nearby and pay 9$ for the night.

It just feels old, all of it. Not that bad as some other customers described - that' my opinion. Can recommend it for those who prioritise location.

Great Location, great value for money, 24-hour reception and secure door.

Some rooms are updated, others are not. However, they are clean and comfortable. No parking available on site and nearby parking is quite costly. This could be a fantastic venue with some investment.

Check in was a breeze. My room was larger than expected, which gave me room to get comfortable. The location is great, making it easy to walk to the train or just walk around the city. If I'm ever in Perth the Criterion will be on my list of places to stay, mainly for the price point/location/comfort ratio.
