I spoilt my partner for his birthday, and we had a wonderful time on the second night but the first night was another story. enjoyed the cocktails and the hotel atmosphere. The staff were friendly and very inviting.

The noise damping between the rooms is not up to scratch. On our first night, we were kept awake until 2 am with excessive talking and very loud behavior in the next-door room. Had to ring for help twice before they were able to sort it out and on our mobile phone as the room phone was not working. We were not able to visit the songbird lounge after checking in on our first night as the bar was full. I do feel that hotel guests should have priority in hotel facilities when visiting. To be charged the full price of our stay plus a bond as a pre-authorization is okay on arrival but then to be charged again upon leaving for the full charge of the room feels a little like double dipping. Wondering when the pre-authorization charge will be reimbursed back to my account.

In room breakfast was good not excellent. Meals were hot and satisfying and if we had butter for toast and some salt then it could of been perfect.

I'd expect a 6 star hotel to be opened for dinner every evening. If it was not for The Oyster Bar then we could not get a restaurant meal anywhere on a Sunday night. When you are paying close to $1000 per night to pay additional for Valet is robbery.

Fabulous staff, particularly front desk, nothing was too much trouble. A-mazing view of Elizabeth Quay and the sunset: I was happy simply sitting sitting at the window admiring the view. Literally perfect location for exploring the city, with taxes, trains and ferries within just a couple of minutes’ walk. Impeccable standard of fixtures and fittings, furnishings, decor, cleanliness, service.

Nothing really. If I was being incredibly picky I might say that the bath is slightly uncomfortable (although the shower was great), there are a LOT of weddings at the hotel so the lobby can be quite busy, and they’d run out of decaf coffee for the room espresso machine! That’s literally it.

Facilities and location were excellent. I was surprised with the very limited restaurant dinner options on the Monday night we were there, only a lounge option with limited menu. The staff were polite, but seemed inexperienced. The staff were badly let down by the doormen and porters. On arrival they seemed confused why we were there and after being in our rooms for 45mins rang to ask where our bags were. They eventually arrived. Valet parking was $80 per day, and with this I expect to retrieve my car when ordered. On departing we rang to order the car, it wasn’t there 15 mins later, then we waited another 20 mins until someone eventually arrived. Very poor service and really let down the hotel .

Location excellent food and staff exceptional considering circumstances beyond my control and the need to return home earlier than expected. My frustration wasn’t due to the hotel but more to do with Booking.com who have YET to respond

I had to check out a day early as I has a spinal procedure and the staff tried to contact you to make sure I was given a credit for that night however you didn’t reply I am still waiting for YOUR confirmation that you are accepting of my urgent requirement to leave early - can you urgently respond! No fault of the staff or myself

The infinity pool was wonderful! We had a swim late afternoon (to avoid the kids) and the timing was perfect. Only adults having a quiet drink before dinner. Breakfast at the Hearth was underwhelming. The bread rolls tasted stale, the scrambled eggs tasted like powdered eggs and the sweet pastries were average - the kind you might find at a suburban pastry shop. Coffee was perfect. The staff throughout the hotel were fantastic - very attentive and friendly. The view from our room on the 11th floor was amazing. Full view of Elizabeth Quay at night sparkled with lights! The room's lights and blinds were confusing to operate and took some hits/misses before we figured it out how (more instructions would be helpful). Overall, it was a very pleasant stay but just some small areas of finesse could make it a 10 out of 10. Would definitely come again and we would recommend it.

The interactions with the concierge and front desk staff during check-in and checkout were exceptional. They were professional yet personable, really setting a positive tone for my stay. The bathroom design was beautiful, and the room was finished to a very high standard. The bed was on the firmer side but still very comfortable. The location is fantastic. The pool area is lovely, though it did get quite busy. The pool itself was a perfect temperature, even on windy days—around 30°C, I believe.

The pool area was often very crowded, and there were times when I was told it was at full capacity. There were quite a few kids splashing and jumping around, which might not be ideal if you're seeking a quieter experience. While this isn’t the hotel’s fault, it was surprising considering the Ritz’s reputation for a more relaxed atmosphere. If you're travelling with children, I’d recommend a more family-oriented hotel like Crown Towers instead of the Ritz. Who's bringing their kids to the Ritz? The pool bar was nice but had a limited menu. Additionally, I was surprised to hear a significant amount of outside (external to the hotel) noise from my room on the 12th floor.

Second time staying, excellent location, friendly and helpful staff. We have recently stayed here for our marriage anniversary, originally booked the premier swan river room and got upgraded to the large studio which was so lovely! the studio was spacious with beautiful city and river views. The service was outstanding throughout our stay. We had taken a Breakfast package, and thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast spread with a variety of international cuisine! Everything was so delicious! My favourite is the infinity pool with Elizabeth quay views.

Valet parking is extremely overpriced, last time we stayed it was $40 back in 2022 and now it has doubled to $80 a day!

The Employees were exceptional. From the moment we arrived, each employee we came into contact with, made us feel very welcome and special!! They even went out of their way to decorate our room with balloons, champagne and chocolate slice for our wedding anniversary, very unexpected but a beautiful surprise which made our anniversary so much more amazing!! Everything, and I mean everything, from the room, (spacious and a view to die for) to the roof top bar to the Hearth restaurant, (food was magnificent) the whole hotel not only looked spectacular, it was clean, and extremely inviting.

We were upgraded for our wedding anniversary and our room was brilliant, the views over Elizabeth Quay were memorising. The staff were lovely, from being walked to reception, given a glass of bubbles, being taken care of by Jimmy on the front desk and shown the way in person to the lift, room upgrade to a suite, a lovely note and bottle of bubbles in our room and getting that amazing view, everything about our stay was perfect. The breakfast was excellent but probably the most that we have paid for a buffet breakfast. However the choice was amazing, including an egg station, fresh honeycomb and every hot dish was very good. Our coffee orders were made very well. We should have got there earlier however to get full value for money. Will definitely be back.

We couldn't fault anything at the hotel, it was all above our expectations. It's not cheap but one of the best hotel experiences we have had.
