I'll start by saying that overall, our stay was great—the location, breakfast, room, and staff were all excellent. However, there were two things that upset me. First, I was shocked that during our 4-day stay, our towels were never changed. Instead, the dirty ones were simply folded and put back as if I wouldn’t notice. I had to ask for fresh towels every day. Second, we requested breakfast to-go because we were leaving early, and we had specified in advance what we wanted included. Unfortunately, what we received did not match our requests. On top of that, the coffee was packed carelessly and spilled all over the food.

Very well located, close to Stephansdom and easy to walk to all the main areas we wanted to visit. Alternatively, if you aren't into walking, then it's close to the public transport network, which is very efficient and easy to navigate. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. Our room was clean, warm and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. We ate at the restaurant Vienne close to the hotel and also at Grieschenbeisl which is also very close - and would recommend both, as well as at Wein & Co in Stephanplatz - which has an amazing deli and wine store underneath the wine bar. And, of course, no visit to Vienna is complete without a visit to Cafe Central. Best strudel IMHO (and we've tasted a few) is from the cafe/restaurant Residenz at Schonbrunn Palace.

Excellent location and lovely hotel. The hotel is located in a quiet (cul-de sac) side street. The Airport coach took about 25 minutes to get to Schwedenplatz, and we walked to the hotel which is only a few minutes away. The rooms were cosy, clean and the beds were very comfortable; which is great at the end of a long day of sightseeing. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is a lovely traditional hotel within walking distance of the main attractions such as Stephansdom, a main shopping street with restaurants and cafes, and the Hofburg Palace complex. Mozart Haus and the Freud Museum were easy to get to from the hotel. Trams and buses were within meters of the hotel - Vienna is a very easy city to get around as the public transport is excellent; the Musikverein is only two stops away from the hotel via the tram so you could also walk to it. We would love to stay in this hotel again and would recommend it to anyone going to Vienna.

We stayed in a lovely, comfortable and clean room located to the front of the hotel; one morning we could hear deliveries being made, as the hotel is located in a cul-de-sac. But this comment is more an observation than a complaint.

The location is excellent being in a quiet street in the inner stadt, the staff friendly, helpful and competent. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel is warm and comfortable offering pleasant accommodation and communal seating areas. Our room was a good size and very quiet. The staff organised an early morning takeaway breakfast for us on departure day which was much appreciated. Highly recommended.

These are minor issues and did not detract from our very pleasant stay. The coffee machines at breakfast are very temperamental and demanding of staff attention. Whilst it's commendable that the hotel attempts to provide all clients with their ultimate coffee choice - the machines have an alternative agenda! I would have been quite satisfied being able to take a small pot of good coffee to the breakfast table. Tea facilities were perfect. It would have been nice to have had at least one change in the hot food option during our four night stay stay but there were plenty of alternative combinations in a well managed breakfast room.

Friendliest of staff, very helpful. Food was great at breakfast. Very helpful with ordering a taxi and also keeping our luggage as we were only there for the one night. They let us keep site seeing without the worry of what we would do with our luggage. It is ideally located to all the stunning sights

The room was very good, but speaking for myself in the group I slept on the sofa bed. When I said slept maybe I got about 3 hrs throughout the night. Found it uncomfortable so had to put the covers over the mattress for more comfortable. Also we found it difficult to check in as we were driving and there was nowhere that we could park the car to walk to the hotel to do this. Ended up parking illegally and rushing to get sorted out.

I really loved the location because it was really close to the city center, but quiet enough not to realise it. The staff was really nice, the room very clean and really big ( appropriate size for a family with a baby), the breakfast very good.

The room was cold the first night. If it was just for us, it would have not been an issue, but we were with a 7 month baby and we were a little bit worried. The second night it was better. There is a parking lot, but not on site, in the underground of one building on the same street and it's 24€/night ( I write this because when I made the reservation I thought the parking was included and on site since I filtered it on my search, but this a Booking issue, not Hotel issue). But the experience was really, we would repeat it.

The hotel was in an excellent location, approximately 10 minutes walk from Stephansplatz and from Donaukanal Good buffet breakfast - good selection and plentiful. Friendly staff Good restaurants in area close to hotel I liked having a physical key to the room rather than a keycard Very safe area for walking around, especially as a solo traveller

The lift was quite small - that is really the only thing I can think of to comment on

It's a cosy old-fashioned Austrian hotel located in the very city center, max 10 min walking to Stephanplatz. Our room was spacious, nicely furnished and clean. At our arrival, the receptionist was very heplful and provided us with all the information we asked; in general, the staff in the hotel is very friendly. At the first floor there's a living room with a piano, there's also a small library and a wine shop. We also enjoyed breakfasts, fresh, tasty and enough for the morning meal. We would stop with pleasure in the hotel again while next time in Vienna.

It might be a bit noisy in mornings if windows of your room go out the patio leading to the central entrance. But that was not a big case, we coped with it all right.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Austria in Vienna, and I must say it was a very good experience from start to finish. The hotel offers a perfect balance of comfort, location, and exceptional service.The location was also ideal—situated in a quiet yet central part of the city, just a short walk from many of Vienna’s top attractions, including St. Stephen’s Cathedral, the Hofburg Palace, and the charming shops and cafés around the city center. Public transport options were easily accessible as well, making it convenient to explore further.

The historical hotel is elegant with a grand sweeping staircase. It is central to the old town so most of the historical landmarks are walking distance. The staff were friendly and happy and helpful. There was a great selection for continental breakfast. Despite being so close to many bars and restaurants, it was quiet in the room at night, which was also cool, spacious, clean and tidy. There is an outside terrace on the second floor for all guests to use. They do have a lift, however, due to the age of the property, it is quite small so families may need to take turns.

There was nothing that I didn't like.
