I arrived in Vienna late on Monday, 2nd June and had a reservation at another truly appalling hotel. Dirty, smelly and noisy. I simply couldn't stay there. Fortunately, I managed to secure a last-minute booking at this hotel, and I'm so glad I did. It made my trip. The young woman at the front desk, Cheng Yao, was simply so understanding, accommodating and willing to help. The hotel was very clean and comfortable, and it was in a wonderful location in the centre of Vienna. Thanks, Cheng, for your professionalism. Makes such a big difference to have people such as you at the front desk of a hotel.

The location was amazing—literally next door to Mozart’s house and just steps away from the magnificent St. Stephan’s Cathedral. You couldn’t ask for a better location! Rooms were older but well kept and very unique, especially the family unit that housed the four of us.

I had booked the property specifically for the two wall alcove beds with curtains (for my two kids); all the photos of our type of room showed this setup. But this is not what we got. We ended up only getting one bed wall unit with curtains (the other bed was in the open upstairs living area), so our two kids fought over it. This is a small issue but was a bit disappointing, given this was the sole reason I booked this hotel.

Buffet breakfast was outstanding, five stars!!

Bathtub very difficult/challenging to get in and out. Not suitable for many 65+ people or individuals with balance issues. Walk-in shower would be much better!

Loved the location, the facilities and the amenities. Wonderful staff. Unfortunately the Hotel bar was under renovation, but we still had tea there and were able to use it as a working space. The rooms were very spacious, the beds super comfy, and the bathroom super clean and nice with nice toiletries and bath products.

One thing that could have been better would have been larger comforters/duvets for the beds (one night the room was chilly -- which is why we would have appreciated larger comforters.) And maybe comfy bathrobes would have been a nice touch, too.

The Hotel was wonderful. We had a Junior Suite room and loved the extra space. The bathroom was impressively large and clean. Very comfortable bed and storage space was good too. It was easy to get the CAT train from the airport to Wien Mitte and walk along from there to the hotel. The location was really good, easy to get to everything, whether walking, trams, buses or underground. Although centrally located, it was not noisy. A good selection of restaurants were nearby. The breakfasts were excellent, cooked plus all the self serve options and available for a long time each morning. All the staff were very friendly and helpful in suggestions for our stay.

Nothing - all good.

Staff were lovely- very friendly and helpful. High standards of care and service. Location was excellent- you could hardly be more central. We had a junior suite which was spacious with a huge bathroom with both tub and walk in shower. Room was nice and quiet, very comfortable and lots of storage. Nice minibar and free coffee and tea making facilities. We also got a chocolate on our pillows each day which was very nice. Breakfast was excellent- lots of hot and cold choices. Recommend their bar area which was opulent, we had excellent strudel and drinks there some evenings. In all an excellent hotel.

Perfect location in the city centre, next to Stephansplatz and the Cathedral. The building is very old and steeped in history, and the hotel has retained its grandeur. We had a junior suite, it was really grand, perfectly presented and the bathroom was massive. After a long day exploring the city on foot, the huge bath was absolute luxury. Breakfast was plentiful, buffet style and included what you expect - bacon and eggs, meats and cheeses, fruit, yoghurt, juices etc Although the hotel doesn’t offer any other meal service, it does have a delightful and atmospheric bar - and it does do amazing apple strudel! The staff were extremely friendly, attentive and couldn’t do enough for you. If you are heading for Vienna, this is the place to stay!

Well nothing really. I guess if we were being mega fussy, maybe bathrobes could have been provided (there were slippers!). Also, the cups in the bedroom were really small, so tiny cups of tea and coffee - I guess that is the European way!

My 2nd stay here. Absolute best location for a hotel close to Stephansdom. Beautiful, quiet historic hotel with lovely rooms. Everything was clean, in good working order, Internet worked great too. Breakfast was nice too, although with little variety.

A coffee maker in the room would have been a nice touch. The breakfast staff could be a bit faster and better, a lot of young kids that don't even know what a Brie cheese is.

(I am Johannes wife) On my first travel alone the security and amability felt was heart comforting. The room was excellent, very big, perhaps a bit dark but I liked it. Near the Dom you could not be in a better place to visit the inner city either on your own or in company. A very calm street. I slept with one window open! Breakfast was good too and also on a smooth way. When leaving I was stressed because there was a problem with my flight... so... I forgot the pin code of my card... tried and tried and they solved the problem with a very big smile. ( Now I know my pin code again... - sorry for this...) If ever, and I hope so, I go back to Vienna I will certainly aim at staying again in this hotel. Vielen dank
