Hotel Post is a comfortable place to stay in Vienna and is very conveniently situated. It is about 2 minutes walk from the Schwedenplatz with its underground and tram connections, and within walking distance of many of the main sights in Vienna, for instance St. Stephans Cathedral, the Hundertwasser Haus and Village, and the Stadtpark. Many museums as well as the Schloss Schönbrunn and Opera Houses are easily reached using the very efficient trains or trams. Our room was spacious, and breakfast was good with a range of options and unlimited coffee. For us as a couple travelling by train it was a very good choice, and we would happily stay there again

The view from our window was of offices on the opposite side of a street. Not too exciting, but more than compensated for by the positive aspects of the hotel. In any case there is so much to see and do in Vienna that we hardly spent any time in the room during the daytime.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Post Wien Vienna! The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore Vienna’s main attractions on foot. The room was cozy, spotlessly clean, and provided a comfortable retreat after a day of sightseeing. The hotel’s warm and welcoming atmosphere was enhanced by the friendly and attentive receptionists, who were always ready to assist with a smile. First of all, the staff. People were friendly and helpful. All the information regarding the hotel and stay were provided in clear and concise manner by the reception. Danial was particularly helpful. I also needed alarm call and early checkout, and everything was straightforward

There was some confusion regarding parking spot. It is not included in the price, but you pay extra and need to park the car yourself in the garage nearby. That is not the problem, but it would be good for the hotel to clarify this upfront, so to avoid angry guests. As I said, for me the staying was perfect, solid 10

The hotel was within walking distance to the main avenue and St. Stephens Cathedral. One block from the metro and Danube River as well as places for the dogs to do their business. Staff was friendly and accommodating even with a pet/dog. Breakfast was good and well stocked with a wide variety of hot and cold foods, pastries, cereals, and baked goods. Room was clean and quiet with black out electric shades in case you are a little jet-lagged or need some rest.

Nothing to note. Everything was good.

Great location, very close to the city centre and transport. Spacious room, old fashioned decor, but clean and comfortable. We were also allowed to check in early and that was much appreciated! The breakfast buffet was nice and fresh with very tasty scrambled eggs and a choice of cakes.

I had chosen to pay for my room at the property. However the hotel “tested” my credit card by reserving the entire amount the day before arrival and without previous warning. I can understand that the hotel can take an authorisation on the card but not for the whole amount. I effectively payed for the room in advance and that is not the condition I booked under! This is a bad policy and something I would warn other guests about!

Great location, only a few minutes walk from the Underground station Schwedenplatz and just one stop from there to the fast airport train. Close to city centre shopping and major sights. Easy access to trams and river cruise (in season). My room was clean, warm, comfortable bed. Spotless bathroom, hot, decent pressure shower. Pleasant dining room with great breakfast selection, served till 11am. Very quiet room, no noise at night. Hotel has a bar, but I didn’t use it.

I’d have liked a kettle in my room.

Beautiful old building conveniently located in the first district. Gorgeous wooden floors and high ceilings. Comfortable bed. Well-appointed bath and glorious air conditioning. The hotel will allow you to store your luggage in a little room off the lobby if necessary. I wish we had had a longer stay!

We had a little trouble with inconsistent water temperature in the shower. I like really hot water, so it wasn’t a problem for me but my daughter is a little more sensitive.

Excellent location, 2 mins walk from U-Bahn and 5 mins from Stephanplatz / main shopping areas. Could walk to all main city centre attractions within 15 - 30 mins. Good breakfast. Helpful staff. Good sized room.

Lack of tea / coffee making facilities. Would have been happy to pay, but just wasn't available. Otherwise was very good.

A very nice hotel., not "top-of-the-line", but good enough. The room was cleaned every day. Perfect localization, good breakfasts. Personel VERY kind. There wasn't a kettle in the room. I asked at the reception desk and a very nice gentleman gave me a complete set: a kettle, glasses, and a tea set. The only downside was the slow and interrupting wifi on the fifth floor. But I highly recommend this hotel.
