The location was wonderful as it was around the corner from St.Stephens Basilica with lots of restaurants, cafes, ice cream shops. Staff was friendly, professional and efficient. The room spacious, the bed comfortable, the room temperature good. A restaurant for the wonderful buffet and dinner. Rooftop bar nice bit steps to climb once off the elevator so keep that in mind,

Nothing. Would be very nice if there was an area albeit event small in the 1st floor restaurant available for guests to enjoy just a drink and not have to take it to the lobby.

Most things went very smoothly. Staff very friendly, smiles all round, and efficient. Rooms very clean and comfortable as were the entrance, corridors and lifts. Good standard breakfast, staff replacing dwindling stocks efficiently, and a pleasing quality of cutlery.

Two single duvets on a king size bed were a matter for comment among the group and the heat retaining synthetic pillows created mild discomfort and irritation. Initial placement into the darkest of interior facing rooms with twin beds when a large double street facing room was originally booked and paid for, but this was very quickly and efficiently resolved by Julia who was in attendance at the reception desk. Thank you Julia, my gratitude remains with you.

The Hotel Royal is in the historic Vienna City Centre, surrounded with restaurants, supermarkets, metro, stores, and steps from the major sightseeings. The room was big, no carpet, a good size bathroom, very good shower , fridge, coffee maker and tea in the room. Comfortable bed, pillows and everything clean and spacious. The staff were very nice and polite. I didn’t have breakfast at the restaurant, but the Italian restaurant was in a beautiful place in the hotel. I highly recommend and I will be back again next time I plan to visit Vienna.

The location was perfect for us. It was just around the corner from the Cathedral and easy walking distance of the Hofburg Palace, Spanish Riding School, State Opera House, Imperial Vaults etc. The room was large enough with a large bed and a fridge. The restaurants were good and breakfast nice. The air conditioner worked well and wasn’t too noisy.

The top floor restaurant should mark the step better as I fell and bruised myself. I would have preferred a shower cubicle to a fairly short bath with shower over it.

The hotel is in an excellent location close to all tourist attractions and many famous cafes and restaurants near it. Its location is excellent for those with young children, as you are in the middle of the lively area and if they feel tired you can return to the hotel. The breakfast is wonderful and varied, with everything young children need, with an Italian style. The room is medium in size, but I liked that the sofa was opened and a mattress was placed, so my children slept on a bed and not a sofa, and everything so clean .Also, the soundproofing in the rooms was amazing. There were repairs and excavations throughout our stay, but you didn't hear any sound in the room, only when you left your room. I want to talk about my personal experience, our flight was canceled on Sunday and they took all our luggage, I called the hotel from the airport just to make sure they had a room available to receive us especially since we have children, and indeed they booked the room for us, we returned to the hotel, and on the reception there was a lady with short black hair and glasses who was very nice to us and actually booked the room for us and we were surprised that she gave us the same room and provided us with the basic needs because it was Sunday and everything was closed, when we arrived to our room we found small biscuits on the bed, it meant a lot to me after waiting for six hours at the airport and returning to the hotel as if it was our second home, it was a wonderful last day for us with a lot of feelings, and we will definitely return to the same hotel

Fantastic location in the heart of Vienna. Comfortable, quiet, very clean rooms with lots of room to move around. Tea/coffee making facilities and mini bar in the room. Staff were amazing and very friendly. The breakfast was plentiful with everything you could need to set you up for the day. I felt extremely safe as a solo female traveler. I can’t rate this highly enough

Super location for exploring downtown Vienna, very friendly service, lovely breakfast. Also dinner was nice, we eat once at the hotel downstairs restaurant.

We stayed in a room with a recently upgraded bathroom which was very beautiful but, unfortunately, the distance from the toilet seat to the sink cabinet is really under any standard and you have to think twice where to place your legs when seated ;-) Also, the cord of the hairdryer placed in a drawer was so short that you could not dry your hair standing up but would have to sit (on the mentioned toilet seat, with your legs folded). Perhaps these issues could still be addressed because otherwise, the renewed bathroom was really stylish!

They gave us a terrible room, with a bad smell inside. We only spent the first night there and asked for a change and the room was a thousand times better. We think that the first one they gave us should not be offered to anyone.

From the moment I arrived I was met with Julie who had a pleasant welcoming smile. She took my bags for me as I had arrived early and room was not ready then she gave me a map and got me sorted for St Stephens Cathedral and the shopping streets. I had read reviews about the beds being uncomfortable so I said to Julie that I had numerous back surgeries. Lo and behold an extra bed topper was put on my bed with extra pillows. There was tea and coffee in room. Next for evening shift comes Kim. Again nothing too much for her ,I had misplaced my charger for Austria and my phone was dying. Lo and behold Kim got me one. I had gotten wet on the Fri as it really rained so I was cold and again extra bedding given. There were gentlemen at reception too but i wasn't dealing with them but they were very pleasant as you came and went. As for the restaurant downstairs ,only fantastic, All in all a wonderful experience,very central.

I have nothing to complain about. Room was big ,even though I was facing a busy day with mc Donald's across,once windows were closed it was fine. Housekeeping changed towels every day, tea coffee replenished.

Ideal location of the hotel, in the city centre ! We liked the hotel, and liked the room we stayed in. The staff is very polite! We liked living in such a beautiful location in the city. Wry close to many attractions, walking time about 1-15 minutes . We wholeheartedly recommend a trip to Vienna and a stay at this hotel.

According to our taste preferences, it would be nice if the beds were softer. The beds are very hard, and you can feel the springs of the mattress, which caused me physical pain. We are very grateful that the hotel accommodated us and gave us an extra blanket to put in two layers on the mattress, due to which it was a little more comfortable to sleep, the springs no longer dug into the ribs so much.
