This is a very unique guest house in an historic building. I loved the history of the Order, the church, and the tiny Mozart concert hall all in this building! It is just around the corner from the cathedral and close to all the shopping and sights. The rooms were spacious (for Europe standards) and had a lovely view of the courtyard. There is a small lift to the 3rd floor where the guesthouse is. This was a delightful place to stay for our time in Vienna.

The location was excellent. It was amazing to literally be in the courtyard of St Stephen’s church.

There was no sign outside the building to identify the apartment. Our Uber driver walked up and down the street looking for it then eventually a man from a neighboring building showed up the entrance. A sign would is advisable.

Location, at the heart of Innere Stadt, inner city, Vienna’s old town where all the attractions are. Easily accessible by walk to most of the places, easy access to/from airport by public transport, You can reach the airport directly from the hotel which is a few minutes walk to the Sxtephanplazt metro station. Spacious, big, airy room. Luggage room available.

No breakfast, a mini fridge in the room would be very helpful

I wish an electric tea kettle had been in the room.

Great location built into a church, staff friendly, great views, warm, comfy beds, spacious rooms. Actual location is near to everything you could want as a base in Vienna.

The shower over the bath, massively awkward to shower and I’m 5ft 8, if you were any taller I don’t know what you’d do, just due to the room and old style building. Bells going off from the crack of dawn from the church but then again, what do you expect being in a church. Slightly awkward to find, it’s on the THIRD FLOOR!

Location was superb! Staff nice, good/speedy feedback and clear instructions of how to get key (due to reception closing at 8 pm and us arriving later). Nice staff next day and they looked after our luggage for us till we left. Sooo… central perfectly located.

It was REALLY, REALLY hot - like a sauna on the top floor! Which I actually like but my hair doesn’t :). Had windows open all night to keep cool and jumped out of my skin next morning when Stephansdom Kirche bells sounded in the morning (Stephansdom kirche is literally at back of guesthouse). Would’ve been fine with window closed or if we’d slept longer though. Went for breakfast across the courtyard in a pretty garden but were told we needed a reservation! Would be good to add opportunity to book with reservation as everything else perfect!

Excellent value for money, located right in the heart of the city, and excellent customer service! Would recommend and would definitely stay again.

The location is absolutely perfect; right by St. Stephen Square, smack bang in the centre of town and that in part, allows us to reach pretty much most of the sites by foot very comfortably. I took a City Airport Train from the airport, which took me to Vienna Central Station in about 15 minutes. Then I simply walked for 35 minutes, through the very pleasant city of Vienna, to the beating heart centre of the town and that is St. Stephen Square. The Guesthouse used to be the monastery that was and was and is part of the church where Mozart had performed. The room and en suite bathroom were spotlessly clean and very stripped down- which, for the location and the price, was to be expected and totally efficient. No fridge and mini bar, and in the bathroom, apart from clean towels and a gel (shampoo/shower gel all in one) and toilet paper, there was nothing else, and frankly, we didn't need more. The bed was very comfortable and the beddings crispy clean. Very happy with it all.

With this reasonable pricing, there is nothing I don't like about this. I read that some might be bothered by the noises as it is right in the town centre. There is no air-conditioning but a fan- whilst thoroughly respecting that others might be more sensitive than I, a city kid, to noises, such things did not bother me at all. Vienna is not in general a party town as some others. Tourists are more likely to be here for the concerts and operas than really street dancing and binge drinking night outs- though there is a time and place for all of course.

Excellent stay, clean & comfortable. Great location. I had trouble finding check in , it is on the 3rd floor in the area next to the church.

Based on other reviews, I mistakingly thought these were rooms in a former monastery, but in reality they are managed resources in a current religious organization. I found the rooms to be austere; however, this was fine for me, because the price was fantastic considering the location in Stephenplatz. The staff are incredible and knowledgeable. The rooms are very quiet and extremely clean. Added bonus, if you like classical music, the small chapel on the ground level holds concerts every night.

There isn’t reception after 8:00 I believe, but I never found this to be a problem. You use your room key to get into the building and elevator.
