Booking.com and Agoda charged much much more than the hotel booked directly would have cost. That is extremely disappointing. To compensate a little, the location was superb. But I will be much more careful in future when using hotel booking agencies.

Good location near Karls platz. Enough space in the twin room. Staffs are kind. We get mineral water in the room.

Too small bath room , and difficult to manage to wash a face . Water pressure for shower is not enough strong . There is no hair conditioner in the shower room.

Great place to stay, really central for exploring the city.Room very well thought out, tea making facilities beds comfortable. Staff very helpful, nothing too much trouble.

Good continental breakfast, comfy bed, big bathroom, excellent position near the Opera.

Although we have not reserved the cheapest room, when we have checked-in, we have received a small dark room with the only window facing just the elevator. However, the front desk accepted immediately to change our room after complaining and we received another room on the third floor, with big windows and a nice view. We have appreciated the resolving attitude.

This beautiful hotel was perfectly situated for our stay. Just steps away from the underground station made planning a breeze. It's a short walk to the main streets of Vienna and right next door is the market filled with eateries ranging from fresh fish, Greek and Chinese. We were recommended by the staff to go to The Blockhouse as the hotel doesn't have a restaurant and it was one of the best places we ate in. Our room was very comfortable with air-conditioning that was appreciated in the heatwave. On the top floor, our windows looked across the main road and we could see the gleaming roof of the Secession. Noise was minimal and we slept well.

Breakfast - while it appears that there is plenty to choose from, the staff only put small portions out so it quickly disappears. We had to ask for more fruit, pastries and fried eggs almost every day.

Very comfortable hotel room, very helpful staff, excellent breakfast. Great location. This was the third time we've stayed at this hotel and would happily return again. It is close to everything, and great value for the price.

After we checked in, there was an issue with the elevator not working consistently but it got rectified in a fairly short time, so I can't fault the hotel for that.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the classic double was room spacious and comfortable with a quiet outlook over a courtyard, and the location was perfect for walking to the Leopold Museum, the Kunsthistorisches Museum, the Albertina and the Lower Belvedere. The hotel is also very close to the Gemaldegaleri and the Secession building with the Beethoven Frieze is just across the road. (We did not visit these as we had been there on a previous visit to Vienna). There was a very good restaurant nearby called The Block House with good steaks served with fresh salad and baked potato. There are also other restaurants nearby.

3 quiet, large twin rooms at the rear of the second part of the property, all adjacent as requested when booking. Very comfortable beds. Lovely breakfast - continental and cooked food, pastries, juices and fruit. All the staff were very kind and helpful - included booking taxis and a restaurant. A bottle of complimentary water was provided each day in the room and there was a fridge in each room, and a safe. The tap water is very good to drink in Vienna - straight from the hills. Most destinations within Vienna were walkable. A pleasant 20 minute stroll to the cathedral. 5 minutes to the Naschmarkt, with lots of small restaurants. Karlsplatz underground station 100 metres away for an easy journey to Schonbrunn Palace.

Loved everything. Maybe the bar could offer a larger variety of drinks?

I had a lovely big room which for travelling on my own was excellent. The location is great, right next to the Secession building and Karlsplatz underground station, and only 5 minutes to the opera house and many other places you’ll be visiting. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The only area i feel could be improved is breakfast, not the best compared to other hotels in Europe, however, it’s Vienna, and I would rather be out at one of the great cafés anyway!

The location is very good. The room was very spacious and the breakfast was good.

There was no cabinet for coats although there was plenty of room in the entry. And in the room there was only one cabinet for clothes which was not enough. And in the cabinet there were only 5 hangers. We were 2 people there and that really wasn't enough. On average there could have been more furniture, for example another armchair and table. In the bathroom there was no space for the cosmetics and toothbrushes and so on. In my opinion there should be a place to have these things very near the sink.
