Classy, luxurious, very attentive staff, who always greeted us politely. Superb restaurant. Superb location for access to city centre.

The bar was a little on the small side. A dedicated lounge might be nice.

In a word: an amazing place. The most attentive, professional and pleasant staff at all stations; the doormen, at the reception, in the restaurant, just everywhere. If you love heritage, tradition and the old school at its best as much as I do, you will absolutely love The Bristol hotel. And you'll like the other guests too - because most of them will be the same. The hotel has a perfect location - but you don't really even want to go anywhere. When you want or need attention, you have it, and when you need just to sit and think, you have a perfect peace. I really felt at home. Plus - the food, served by the nicest staff in wonderful setting, is great; from the delicious breakfast to the lovely dinner. I can't wait for my next trip to Vienna - and I wouldn't stay anywhere else anymore.

There is really nothing to object. I just recommend to make a reservation for the Bristol bar for the evening (which I unfortunately didn´t) or you will sit with your drink in the lobby. But one of the Bristol Bar charms is its intimate setting for few people only - so this is not a reason to complain.

-not a negative comment, only suggestion: for kids, a small toy/gift would be good when checking in. In imperial hotel and sacher hotel, they have such small gifts for kids which made my daughter very happy. -breakfast was ok but it can have more options. For a five star hotel like bristol, we find breakfast weak compared to other luxury hotels

The staff is extraordinary, one of the best I have ever encountered. Hotel has incredible history, situated right next to Vienna opera and has been home of multiple historical personalities across more than 150 years. Place breathes history, but its also incredibly well maintained and I can imagine renovations happen quite frequently. Also room service was excellent.

I guess if you are not into antique properties, this is not the place for you. This is probably one of the best kept properties I have ever been (beds, aircon, windows, furniture... everything was great), but if you are into modern design, this place will not be for you.

All staff friendly and concierge was very knowledgeable and helpful. A day out in baden using the baden bahn was excellent it's a lovely town and so close to vienna. A day trip to Bratislava is highly recommended we went by train and walked everywhere but you can buy Bratislava day tickets at the main train station in Vienna and the return tickets on the express plus unlimited travel on local transport in Bratislava cost 36euros total for two adults which was great value.

The location is excellent. The subway is just in front of the hotel. This is a long established hotel with a equally long history.. The staff were nice. We only had lunch at the hotel and the burger and salad were excellent. The dinning room is good. The room we had faced the opera house and had a nice balcony. The room was good and the bed comfort was excellent. Good expresso machine in the room. Good cocktails bar downstairs with a good selection of cocktails.

If I had to nit pick I would have preferred a separate shower. Nothing else.

The location is right around the corner from a pedestrian shopping street that goes all the way to the little Danube. All the main labels and more. The concierge helped us out personally when there was a major international software glitch to ensure our booking on the hydrofoil going to Bratislava. Our credit card would not go through. The staff is very attentive and helpful. My wife needed ice for her knee every day and they were on it.

We loved everything about this property. It was perfect. Friendly staff, beautiful rooms, clean and so close to everything. It was absolutely stunning. Cannot believe it requires renovation as everything was polished and sparkly. We really loved the history and majesty of this hotel and the decor a delight. We will be back.

There was nothing!

Incredible rooms, spacious, elegant and a fantastic view of the opera house. Elegant foyer and stairs. Just gorgeous all around. The bar was very nice with the largest selection of cocktails I've ever seen Service was excellent. We got ice when we needed. A chilled bottle of champagne awaited us. Plus delicious chocolate every day. Twice a day service.

The building was amazing. Historical. We have stayed for 9 nights so it was like a home to us. The location is a mintute walk from everything. Under the hotel there is falafel stand and Starbucks (Always busy :). The rooms are authentic european style and decor. marble bathrooms and floors and elaborate curtains.

They gave us complementary 2 psc per guest for ironing everyday. Since I am the mother and we have 4 rooms, I sent them all from my room. They charged all that's for other rooms and didn't tell us that the complementary service is for shirts only!!
