Perfect location and very kind staff, everybody was very friendly and helpful. Small and quiet hotel which is very nice when you get tired from the crowds od Vienna. Breakfast is served in a small area and it looks like there is not a lot of food, but it’s all very tasty and there’s a lot of variety. Good value for money. All in all perfect hotel for exploring Vienna.

Furniture is a bit dated and could be renovated. I understand that the hotel is going for a specific visual style, but still, you can see the paint peeling off and similiar signs of wear and tear.

The service was great! We didn't try the breakfast, but the people working in the reception were really accomodating and friendly. The building has some serious "cachet", the entrance gives you "kaiser" vibes and the room decoration was also on point. You feel transported in a bit of history. The room on the top floor was quiet, and comfortable. The location was also ideal, the street was quiet yet really central.

Some stains here and there, the small cover in the shower making it hard not to splash half of the room when you use it and some dirt in the drain.

The location is excellent. The hotel has two entrances: one at a pedestrian only street, and the other that can be reached by car. It is at the center of the city, close to all major attractions - Hofburg, Opera, Albertina, St. Stephan cathedral, besides restaurants and shops. The room is large and comfortable, and offers a Nespresso machine. Very good brakfast. Staff always attentive.

It was very hot in Vienna The hotel air conditioning wasn't working in the first 3 days, but it was fixed later. In my room the shower was in the bathtub, at a higher level, and I felt insecure going down from the bath. I'm 69.

The hotel is situated on a small, cozy street right next to the city center. There are also several delicious restaurants on the street, and all the sights are within walking distance of the hotel. A wonderful breakfast with caviar and champagne, a variety of antipasti, an abundance of pastries, and delicious coffee will delight you in the morning. Complimentary coffee at the reception, fruits, and mint water are available for you 24/7. The very pleasant and helpful staff are always at your service. We will definitely return to the Schlosshotel Romischer Kaiser on our next trip to Vienna.

The beautiful hotel offers luxury stay walking distance from the Vienna Opera House, St Stephen Dom and Museum Quarter to name a few. From the welcoming arrival they offer comfortable & spacious rooms with decent coffee. In the lobby information for sites, restaurants and even the weather are available on request. There are a coffee station and comfortable lounge at the entrance, even has umbrellas for the guests. The attention to detail, staff willingness to assist (even recommendation for "apfel strudel") make this hotel one of the best I have ever stayed in. Highly recommended.

We were in room Nº9. The hotel was perfect (built in baroque style).The Staff was super kind and helpful. The room and the furniture.. It seemed we were in a museum, so amazing . A special highlight is the Versace-style bathroom, which shines with opulent details. The bathroom and its furniture designed by Versace made us breathless. We were in the city centre and the metro was near (everything is close).. if you are planning to stay in Vienna, please choose this hotel. We are still talking about the beauty of this palace because it feels like we were in a dream. Next Time we will come back, we will choose this hotel again. Thank you for having made us so happy!!❤️

Everything was perfect.

We travelled to Vienna for a relaxing long weekend with my daughter, and I specifically chose this hotel to surprise her with the "princess vibes" - and that was exactly what we experienced! The highlight of the hotel was definitely the amazing breakfast: while the buffet breakfast area seemed tiny at first sight, there wasn't anything that we missed, in fact, it was one of the best breakfasts I've had even compared to 5* hotels. The breakfast spread had an exceptionally rich selection from fresh fruit to pastries, cheeses, fish and meat. And to top this, the tableware, the background music and the service was also impeccable. We liked our room too, both the room and the lovely pink princess bathroom were spacious, the beds and pillows were comfy, I appreciated the cute porcelain kettle and soft robes, and most importantly, even though the location is right at the heart of the city centre, the room was super quiet. Would definitely recommend the hotel and would return anytime we stay in Vienna!

Note that there is no restaurant after breakfast in the hotel, but since there are dozens a few steps away, this isn't an actual issue.

Shower was a bit leaky

We loved the location! Within a 2 minute walk you are in Old Town shops, etc. We went to watch Mozart and it was a less than 10 minute walk. The train is about a 5 minute walk and the summer palace is easy to get via the train and 6 stops later you are there. The hotel is the quintessential European hotel one envisions. Our room was on the 4th floor and it overlooked the street and we could see the cute restaurants. We had breakfast, which I highly recommend. The room was quaint and the staff were very responsive and you can custom order your eggs - fried, omelette or scrambled.

The rooms appear to be a bit "worn" and should be updated with new linens, etc. There is a bit of deferred maintenance.

This is a small traditional hotel in a quiet street in Alte Stadt. A few minutes walk to the Opera House, and just a bit further to Stephansdom. There are a few good restaurants and a gelato just up the road. Our room was very comfortable with large en-suite, kept to a very good standard. Staff were very friendly and helpful. A great place to stay, much better than the large international blocks on the “Rings”.

Not a problem with the hotel, but it was very hot in Vienna when we were there. A/C was struggling but the reception provided a powerful Dyson fan which helped a lot.
