Wien is a bon bon of a city. The Guesthouse Vienna is perfectly situated in the inner stadt a stones throw from Wiener Staatsoper, Albertina Museum, Hofburg Palace, Musikverien, Sacher... I was travelling alone as a wheelchair user. The Guesthouse is warm, welcoming without being pretentious, and trendy. Love the artwork/pictures in the rooms and around the hotel. The bottles of Austrian wine that are part of your package can be taken to dinner in their restaurant at no charge. Nice touch. The Jura coffee machine in the room was easy to use, and the coffee was lovely. Beautiful, top-quality Austrian skincare products 'March' are offered for use in the bathroom. Hand/body wash, conditioner, and body lotion in 500ml pump dispensers. The pillow mist is lovely. I bumped into the manager, Manfred, in the corridor and asked if he had a little time to spare. He was happy to accompany me to my room, seeing some very small issues, and was grateful for my perspective. He took note and promised to change these things. Wheelchair users, the toilet is right-hand transfer only. Maybe a problem for others but not me. All staff from the front desk, doormen, and housekeeping were kind and always prepared to offer advice, help, or a friendly chat. Nothing was too much trouble. The brasserie/restaurant and bar are excellent and popular with the locals. Great choice of quality food, pastries, and drinks at not silly prices . Upon checkout, I made a reservation for next year. Yes, it is that good. Vielen Dank, bis nächstes Jahr.

Upon returning to the hotel usually night time, it could be difficult to get the attention of staff for the ramp. It was a little frustrating, but it didn't spoil my stay. I could have rung reception but not always easy to do when laden with bags.... Restaurant staff got the attention of the front desk.

The location is unbeatable, the staff is friendly and attentive, the room is nice though it could have been cleaner upon arrival. Also, we got the double deluxe which I think is a great room for two but we were three which made it a bit tight. They did provide us with a comfy rollaway bed though. The restaurant downstairs has very good food and nice staff. Very fresh juices! They also gave us complimentary red wine and water in the room which was a nice touch.

The room could have been cleaner upon arrival and the sink is very shallow which caused a little puddling but pretty minor issues overall. Also, for some Reason getting them to give us a box of tissues Was a bit of a project. And they need to be mindful to have someone answering the reception phone. Often when we called, we got no answer.

This hotel has the best location of any hotel in Vienna we could see the corner of the opera house from our room it was so close we could almost touch it. It is opposite the Albertina and a five minute walk to Dimels and the Hoffbourg Place. I looked up the best restaurants in Vienna before we left and we tried most of them and the cafes including Dimels Cafe Central and Gersners but the best food cakes and coffee were in our hotel I wish I had eaten there more often. The staff were phenomenal from front of house to the waiters. The room we had was 102 it was very large and easily fitted in the extra bed which was a proper bed - the pillows were the most comfortable I have ever slept on.

This hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. There was not a single thing they could improve.

Excellent location. Walkable to most tourist destinations. Room is decorated in a sleek modern Austrian style, with luxury appointments, gratis wine, beer and soft drinks replenished daily. Walk in shower and tub with heated towel rack. All this on top of an excellent bistro serving food throughout the day. Friendly and prompt service.

Location was good. Staff was excellent and very friendly. I was looking for another place to stay after a horrible experience at another hotel and the staff was friendly enough to show me - not everywhere is like this. No swimming pool or gym but the stay was comfortable enough. The room was very comfortable with everything you need and in the right place. The restaurant was also good with professional staff. You can order room service casually and it feels like home:) It saved my sanity from another horrid stay at another so called 5 star hotel in Vienna.

If I had to be critical, I saw some dust on some surfaces (e.g. TV stand, towel rack); the sink could be deeper; and the sink knobs could be less smooth (hard to turn with wet hands); but these are insignificant when the overall stay was so pleasant.

Room was clean and comfortable and had a nice couch and coffee table for relaxing at the end of the day. The TV included a radio, so we listened to music as well. The Jura coffee maker and complimentary wine and beverages in the room were a great bonus.

The bathroom was a little small. There was nowhere to place my toiletries and space to hang towels was limited, but it was clean, modern and we made it work.

The rooms are so comfortable. I loved the window boxes! The free (delicious Austrian) wine and beer was totally unexpected! And they replaced anything we consumed from day to day. Amazing! Made our stay extra special. The location was perfect! We walked to so many of the sights.

The lack of lobby and public area is disappointing. The duvets are too hot for summer time. Need a sheet! The bathrooms don’t allow one person to turn on light without waking the other person. The Taps are too hard to turn on and off. Bad design.

My double room was well appointed and quaint but fine for a solo traveler. You really can’t beat the location. It’s Nextdoor to two of the more famous cafes, pedestrian main shopping zone, Albertina, Spanish Riding School, and the Opera House. Staff at check-in and the lobby were great. There is a lively cafe below but no noise in the room and I was on floor 1. Overall, a pleasant quick stay and I thought good value based on the location alone. They also provided complimentary alcoholic beverages and bottled water which was a nice touch. I did not partake but a nice touch.

It’s more like a good boutique hotel rather than the 5-stars listed on the website as doesn’t really offer any amenities or have the number of service staff. Just a noticeable difference as I’ve been to the 5-stars next door.

Superb location. The view across the city from our 7th floor room was sensational. The room itself was spacious and very well furnished and equipped with a bean-grinding coffee machine, no less! There was a window seat so you can soak up even more of the view. Complimentary wine and soft drinks were replenished daily. We didn’t have breakfast included but the a la carte breakfast (served all day) was excellent value and very good quality. All the city landmarks were a short walk away.

Only a very minor thing but a kettle would have been useful for morning tea, rather than going down to the bar to get a pot of tea.
