The room was quite spacious, and the hotel’s location in the city center made it easy to walk to almost all the major sights. The surrounding area was filled with restaurants and shops, making it great for shopping and eating. The hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly. Despite being just off the main street, it was in a quiet alley, making it easy to catch a taxi/Uber.

One minor issue was that the in-room tablet indicated room service was available, but when I called, I was told the hotel didn’t have a kitchen, so room service wasn’t actually offered. However, with plenty of restaurants nearby, this wasn’t a problem. I even discovered a great Viennese restaurant right across from the hotel!

The hotel located in the heart of Vienna and near the main shopping streets and tourist attractions. room was renovated and has all amenities, including tea and coffee. bed was comfortable. staff were friendly and helpful.

Nothing at all, just small comments the bathroom does not have ventilation system, but you can open the window and refresh the air.

Hotel’s location is amazing! Especially if this is your first time in Vienna, it’s very convenient to walk everywhere. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, thank you for being so warm to us:) we traveled to celebrate our son’s 4th birthday and the hotel made a kind gesture and sent a birthday cake to our room with a thoughtful note :) It was a beautiful gesture & delicious as well! The room was spacious, we had a king size bed and a sofa bed which was already converted to a large bed so it was pretty comfy for the three of us. The breakfast were also nice. We highly recommend Astoria Wien!

The only negative thing I could say was the room was a bit dusty. Even though the housekeepers visited daily, I wish the surfaces were just a bit cleaner:\

Prime location—perfect for both first-time visitors and seasoned travelers. The classic room is ideal for two people and has a very comfortable bed with a great selection of pillows. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and professional. Would definitely come back again.

Since one of the city’s main promenades is right outside, it suits for good sleepers or those comfortable keeping the windows closed at night. It wasn’t an issue for me at all, but it was a bit challenging during public holidays for a family member who’s a light sleeper.

Very good breakfasts. Large selection, good cold cuts, cheeses, you can order eggs prepared however you want, there are vegetables, fruits and cakes. Really delicious and plenty. The service is nice, although it is a bit strange that being in Austria they do not speak German to each other but in their native languages, so you do not know if they are talking about you. The rooms are clean, although I had bad feeling about the very hard and beaten towels, which gave the impression of being very old and worn. The hotel encourages you to use the extra charges for late check-out, but when I wanted to use it (to stay till 3pm instead of midday), I received information that it is not possible for my room and that I should change the room to a better one, only the question is why they are sending me a message to use something that is not available to me. Generally, the hotel is very decent but not ideal either.

In front of the hotel windows there is a casino, which does not allow for a peaceful sleep until 3-4 a.m. Unfortunately, the casino has a terrace in the center of the hotel windows, and guests who go out for a cigarette shout and do not let you sleep. I got the impression that the hotel treats this as a normal everyday thing, I did not see any police and I am not aware of it being reported anywhere and the disturbance is daily, so it is a big problem, so I do not believe, that hotel is not aware of this. if you are planning to rest, you have come to the wrong place.

Location was excellent, When we came in the soap dispenser was empty in. the bathroom. No tissue paper, box is empty .Cleaning staff are not on top of there job. The bed has stain. We have to ask the housekeeping to change it. After no other problem.

Employees at the reception desk all of them are not Friendly except for the Bell boy he was very nice. They need training for racial diversity and sensitivity. They choose who they want to be nice. The night shift receptionist is very sarcastic. They do not like to smile. They are unreceptive. Dining Employees are all excellent in fact we gave them a good tip because we are so impress with them

This hotel is a really beautiful, early 20th century style hotel. You feel like you're entering another world inside and it really enhances the feeling of being in the old town of Vienna. Our room had wonderful French doors overlooking a smaller street off of Kartner Street, so it wasn't too loud. The bed was comfortable. The staff were very nice and attentive. Good breakfast if it's not too expensive.

We had small issues with cleanliness: we found a couple of old hairs in the bathroom as soon as we came in. One of the coffee cups in the room wasn't clean either. Also, they use an old key system for the rooms, where you drop off and pick up a large key when you leave and enter the hotel. Some staff would ask for your last name before handing you the key, but other staff would just give you the key when you told them the room number. This made me a little worried about security.

Location was perfect. Not at the main road, offered quietness, great view of the pedestrian street and side view of St Stephen’s Cathedral(from my balcony room at the top floor) Comfort and aesthetic breakfast halls and breakfast full of delicacies. Kind and helpful personnel with an extra credit given to Dalia Grgic(Assistant Front Office Manager) who found instant solutions to any problem occurred, helped to book tickets for my concerts/ cruises and gave best hints to hang around Vienna. And of course, there was Marko who helped carrying all my luggage under the heat, due to a bad situation with taxi-driver.

The disturbing noise of the air-conditioning and the vacuuming that was not detailed

I really liked the location. It was very close to everything we needed, the cathedral, the Musikverein, the Albertina museum. We also had great weather with crisp cold, which I rlly like. The hotel staff were friendly, the room was clean and nicely furnished. We also liked that the doors had traditional keys instead of automatic cards. I would definitely stay here again. It had positive energy.

Though the mattress of the bed was good, we didn't find the pillows very comfortable. One was too small and the other was too big... But we made do. We didn't have breakfast, so I can not comment about that. The lifts were a bit slow, and on some occasions, we had to wait for a few minutes, but this was not a problem for us.

A great hotel really at the heart of Vienna. In the middle of everything, just on Kärtnerstrasse - and still very quiet. Recently refurbished hotel. Rooms and public spaces in excellent condition - but still with the charm and style of "the old days". Rooms were spotlessly clean and very quiet (ask for a room to the inner courtyard - not a nice view but very quiet). The location is amazing. In the middle of the city, walking distance to Hofburg, to many museums, to the old town, to St. Stephen's cathedral. Still and easy access by taxi on a side street. The personnel is smiling and helpful. Just positive all the way.

The breakfast is very nice and the breakfast lounge is beautiful, BUT: The staff was not filling up the bowls in the breakfast and a lot of things were out repeatedly still 1 or even 2 hours before the breakfast time was over. In this price level, you would expect the breakfast to have full offerings and full bowls all the way. But a lot of things were finished and there was no effort from the personnel and staff to take care of this. A way of saving costs, perhaps ? In any case: not nice and not acceptable. Without this, Astoria would have received a full 10.
