Absolutely loved this little hotel. The location was perfect, right in the centre of the city but in a quiet side-street. The room was great, with a decent bathroom and the provision of a kettle with tea/coffee facilities was much appreciated. Breakfast was good with a variety of hot and cold food, you should definitely try the Bosnian coffee (perhaps only once). The thing that really makes this place stand out was the staff, Every one of them were absolutely focused on providing the best possible customer service. On one day we came back to the hotel for a brief pit-stop about 11am and found that the lady who runs around organising breakfast was also cleaning our room. This lady needs to be cloned so that every hotel in the world can have staff like her. A very smartly-dressed man who works on reception in the afternoon/evening organised us onto a tour around Herzegovina where we were picked up from the hotel, well worth doing and price very cheap compared to what you would pay for similar in other countries. All staff spoke English.

had a fantastic stay at Heritage Hotel Petrakija. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout my visit — always ready to help with a smile. The location couldn’t be better — right in the heart of Sarajevo’s Old Town, just steps away from all the main attractions, cafes, and historical landmarks. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, with a nice variety of fresh options to start the day. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well cared for. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sarajevo!

Bed is too soft, still comfy though.

The air con was great and the bed was the comfiest soft bed we've ever had in a hotel. The coffee and breakfast were good and all staff friendly. The location is fantastic, very close to everything.

The room isn't perfectly polished (eg holes in wall etc) but this didn't bother us as it was clean and comfy. They can't register you as a tourist even though they're a hotel, and so you have to get a taxi to somewhere near the airport to do this (or do it en route). We should have checked this before with them.

Pretty Astro-Hungarian building tucked away in a quiet street just 5 min walk from the centre. Very convenient location. Breakfast was excellent. We had a tour booked for 8 AM (breakfast starts at 8), and when we informed the staff, they allowed to have breakfast at 0730AM. We also contacted them, because we had a very early flight and we wanted to check if we could possibly have an early check in. They allowed us to enter the room at 11AM, as it had been prioritised. Staff is lovely and very helpful, we felt truly at home.

As it’s a historic building, there is no lift, but it really is not that bad, very worth it!

Located close to the city center, room is big and in a good condition, breakfast included in the price also adds points.

Beds are too soft for my taste, and unfortunately sound insulation is very poor (you can hear your neighbours behind the wall). Parking can be an issue (I'm not reducing the rating for it since the hotel warns about potential options). Option 1 - line in front of the hotel, 10 EUR/day - there were no spaces available. We found an empty free of charge place over the corner (but it was a luck and I wouldn't count on it next time, in general parking in this area is a trouble). Other option is 20 EUR/day underground parking nearby, and this cost you need to consider

Very nice hotel, which stands out in its category in a very good location, few minutes from the old town. The things which I found special about this hotel are: +Staff was extremely friendly and kind, so the hotel had "like at home" vibes + Bosnian coffee at the terrace + Breakfast was very tasty, as if was home-made which always included some Bosnian special dishes. It wasn't standard or boring and as for a small hotel in this category that was one of the best breakfast I had

- a very soft mattress, but I got used to it. Keep that in mind if you prefer to sleep on a hard mattress - Firs we were assigned to the room with the issues with mold in the bathroom. The bathroom was flooded from upstairs in the past. This is not a standard room in this hotel. Ask for another one

I really liked the location and what really surprised me was the kindness of the reception staff, always willing to help you. That was fantastic! The hotel has a restaurant with excellent cuisine. A 5-minute walk takes you to the main street. A safe place, even at night. The breakfast is simple but meets the needs. When I return I will stay with them again. Thank you to the receptionists, you made a difference.

There was a problem with a leak in the bathroom, but I believe it has now been resolved.

- staff were lovely and so friendly, always really helpful! - breakfast was lovely and food brilliant, they evenafe us Bosnian coffee! - location was perfect - no concerns regarding noise - very clean - well presented

- the hotel is not accessible so if you have mobility issues and cannot cope with stairs I would avoid this. - the double bed was two single beds pushed together, and they often came apart as they weren't connected - the position of the shower was a bit random but good pressure and very clean bathroom

This was a fantastic hotel we loved everything about it from start to finish. It was clean, warm and in a good location. The breakfast was great and always had a lot of options and the chef was very kind. The staff at this hotel are the nicest people I’ve met. They were very friendly and always helpful and particularly Amna and Armen, they were so kind to us. We will defiantly be back to stay at this hotel. Thank you so much guys ! Your hospitality was greatly appreciated !

Nothing, I liked everything about this hotel

Very close to the Old town of Sarajevo Arman (the receptionist), give that man a pay rise! Super friendly, gaved us a lot of advices what you can do and where you can go for food in Sarajevo.

(At first) bit hard to find, because the Hotel sign is not that big. Booking says there is a direct parking lot, this is not the full truth. (Parking lot was offered afterwards), we choosed a garage which is 5min by foot away. WiFi was a bit difficult TV (which we didn't use) not adjustable The bathroom can easily be flooded as the shower cubicle is somewhat awkwardly positioned. But none of these are things that couldn't be worked on and didn't have an extremely negative impact on the stay...
