Good food for breakfast, clean rooms.

We received a different room than the one we paid for. The room was smaller and we had to share the balcony of very small size with strangers even though we paid for the room with individual balcony. The bigger problem was that we didn't have acces to the light switcher from inside of our room, so we had to stay during the night with the light from the balcony in our eyes because the neighbours kept forgetting it on. Totally unpleasant. Our friends were in the same situation, when we went to the reception to change the rooms, they only gave our friends the room they paid for but they didn't have one for us. We didn't like the way the lady from the reception handled the situation.

staff was very friendly and kind. the breakfast is very rich and good. the dinner it’s also very rich but the dessert didn’t have taste at all. the room is big and spacious, the bed is comfortable. location is good, 800m from the lift, they also have a bus that takes you to the lift every 30 min.

the water in the jacuzzi was kind of dirty ( maybe because in the weekend there are a lot of people ) the pool wasn’t that warm, but that may be just my personal opinion

We have been to that hotel several times. The best part of the hotel is its staff. BOSCO at welcoming, PETYA at reception and YOHANA at the restaurant are always wonderful. Friendly, kind, helpful and always willing to fulfill anything you wish. The hotel is clean and spa area and swimming pool are nice. Breakfast and dinner are delicious and various, considering as hotel buffet food. Great wifi. Free shuttle bus to gondola and back available at ski resort working hours. We will definitely be back soon.

The hotel is located in Bansko but it not located at the region of gondola and apre ski life (cafes, restaurants and bars), it is about 1 km far away, so you have to get your car to go out or walk about 12 minutes. There was also sometimes a bad unpleasant smell at swimming pool and jacuzzi area. In addition, the hotel rooms at some points need a small renovation.

We stayed half board and we’re all very disappointed with the temperature of the food served. We mentioned this to staff who acted shocked. It’s such a shame as we stayed for four days and the was the case for each day. I ate chicken burger from the bar on our final day and the was raw in the middle. I was slick in the lobby toilet after sending food back. It was a struggle to as for a refund or apology. Since arriving home I’m suffering from food poisoning. Very shocking. I’d stay at the hotel as pool area was amazing and the rooms were great but stay away for any warm food.

It was our second time stay at Zara, in Bansko, a short vacation for ski. I can say that we felt the improvement from the previous time, from the accomodation (Deluxe room, right above the lobby bar, big enough for 2 adults and 2 kids, well equipped, clean, warm) to Restaurant (the food was so and so but each time we had plenty of variety where to choose from, a plus for the live cooking at breakfast) and Personel (appreciation for the ladies in reception, the driver to gondola and, probably, the sudents in the restaurant and lady who was in charge of them, all paying attention). Spa area needs some improvement, but still decent and with pool big enough not to be crowded.

Still missing some fluent English speakers at key areas but manageable with patience. Even though there is a communication barrier in the end it's about the person to which you are trying to communicate, we were lucky and all were keen to help.

1.The stuff was 10/10 for sure!! Its very often to find kindly stuff personal in the hotel in Bansko. This hotel know how to keep that ! Good work ! 2.House keeping stuff was very polite and also they was doing excellent job in the rooms every day. 3.Heating in the hotel was exceptional good, you can whole stay be in T-Shirt.

1. The matress pillows was very low budget and very uncomfortable. If you have option please take your own matress pillow from your home you are living. 2. Coffee in the lobby bar was also very gross. It was smelling on old coffee stayed in the coffee machine plastic kanister. I dont recommend to order coffee. 3.little advise for the kitchen: I was staying for 5 dinner nights I havent seen chicken soup. Its winter and the people expecting to have that on the dinner nights. 2x green lentils soups, 3x white kidney beans soup....just no.... 4. The soft drinks from the maschine during breakfasts and dinners was also very cheap and veeeeery not drinkable... I really not recommend to drink them.

Clean rooms, nice spa, friendly staff, perfect breakfast and dinner, free parking. The pool water is hot enough. You can have a 10 min walk to the ski lifts if you’re not a skiing od take the hotel van on every 20 min.

The rooms and the balcony need some renovation. The jacuzzi water doesn’t have regulation, it is extremely hot… someone might like it, but we didn’t. Spa towels and linen for the beds should be renewed

The room was clean and comfortable, equipped with everything needed. We had a beautiful view to the mountain from my window. The staff members were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a good deal of options for dinner.

I wish there were some dairy-free and gluten-free options for breakfast. If you're a solo traveller with no car, it's probably wise to avoid going out and back to the hotel in the dark hours because the location is a bit isolated.

Our room is in the fifth floor and has nice views. We enjoyed the delicious dinner and breakfast as it varies everyday. One of the highlights of our stay here in bansko is the 3-day massage package in this hotel after our long day hitting the ski slopes. The masseurs are so great, good looking, and very pleasant. An ultimate relaxation package for us. We had a great time during the new years eve celebration here as well, as they arranged a special dinner and event with singers and cultural dancers. If we'll be back in bansko Bulgaria, we'll choose to stay here again.

We stayed for more than a week in the hotel and enjoyed it a lot! Receptionists are nice and were always ready to help with any questions. We have communicated in English with them easily. We had a one-bedroom hotel room, which is big and has a great view on the mountains and outside pool! The cleaning ladies were also friendly and provided everything needed. There are bathrobes in the room, wi-fi was good enough. We had half board with only breakfast and dinner. Breakfasts are pretty similar every day. The dinner was good and more different from day to day, there was a choice of several meats, something baked, a lot of vegetables and great watermelon. It's better to come there at the very beginning of dinner as it looks much better then. I would say that it was good enough for the price because restaurants in the city would cost more. Great inside pool, always available towels and changing rooms are there. The outside pool is a bit colder as it depends on the weather, but still it was pretty popular. A big plus is sun loungers and umbrellas on the grass. The location is good and there was enough space to park a car. We also walked from there a lot, be ready that to return from the center you will have to go up the hill. But it is easier while walking up Pirin street and then just crossing one of the bridges nearby. From time to time something became broken on the territory, but staff was fixing it in a while. The strange thing is that people change the temperature of the sauna on their own as it's not locked. It might be useful to have a proactive administrator/manager who would be controlling such things and just to close everything that people should not have access to. To sum up, the hotel has its pros and cons, probably it also depends on the room you choose. So if you do not expect more than described it is a good place for some rest.
