As we come from a big city, we were looking for a quiet, authentic location for our 1 week holiday on the island - and we found exactly what we were looking for! The accommodation looks just like in the pictures uploaded by the hosts (We all know only too well that this is not always the case elsewhere ...) – the rooms are cozy and the terrace (we had booked the Triple Room with Sea View) is amazing. In the evenings, even after very hot days, you get a pleasantly cool sea breeze up here and can enjoy the sunset over the lagoon. In previous reviews, there are many positive comments about the Eco Lagoon Team, and we can't agree more with them! Chau, the two young gentlemen, and another lovely lady were super helpful and polite, but, at the same time, service was never intrusive. They give you a lot of privacy, but if you need something, they are immediately there for you. Just ask and don't wait for them to approach you. We can highly, highly recommend the dinner at the Eco Lagoon! It is of course a bit more expensive than outside in the small street restaurants, but given the big portion and the quality you get in return, it is absolutely justified. Other pluses: the team helps arrange motorbike rental and tours to South Islands and North Islands. Breakfast and dinner can be easily booked on a day-to-day basis, just let the hosts know a few hours in advance. Communication before and during the stay is also smooth – Chau respond to any requests quickly.

We liked everything, really. But like many previous guests, we were specifically looking for this type of stay. Others may find the remoteness and simplicity of the place not ideal for their purpose. We loved it!

Chau and the rest of the staff were amazing. They were so helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. They were on hand at all times but in a very discreet way, and never intrusive. The accommodation was very peaceful and clean. Water and coffee provided in rooms. We ate an evening meal twice .......it was Amazing! We had a set meal for four on the first night which could have fed six....the food was plentiful and delicious and in my opinion, good value. Moped hire is available at a very reasonable cost too, I would recommend this for exploring. There is an ATM and various shops and market stalls a short 5 minute walk from the property.

Our family of 8 (including grandma and young kids) just had an unforgettable stay at Eco Lagoon Hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the genuine hospitality and stunning value. **The Rooms:** Spotless is an understatement! You can literally see zero dust. The rooms are impeccably clean and comfortable. For big groups like ours, I highly recommend booking the Triple Room with Seaview and the Family Room. They are located close to each other and offer absolutely breathtaking views of the lagoon. **The Service:** This is where Eco Lagoon truly shines. The staff, especially Chau and her talented chef boyfriend, went above and beyond. Chau's English is excellent, so communication was effortless. The highlight was a tailored-made dinner prepared by the chef – it was absolutely delicious! One night, my sister-in-law needed bottled water for her baby's milk very late, and Chau efficiently had her boyfriend go out and buy some for us immediately. They serve with their hearts, and it shows. **Food & Value:** The breakfast is simple (toast, eggs, bread) but very good and satisfying. Now for the incredible value: we booked 3 rooms for 2 nights, plus one amazing dinner and one breakfast for 10 people, all for approximately HKD $3600! Where else can you get that? If you want a clean, peaceful stay with phenomenal service and unbelievable value, look no further. We will definitely be back!

Please note that this is a lovingly renovated old house in a local village, not a modern high-rise in the city center. This means you might experience occasional low water pressure and the facilities are basic, but we wouldn't change a thing! These small quirks added to the authentic charm and made our stay feel like a genuine cultural experience. It's a small, warm, and incredibly cozy hotel that we truly adored.

From the outside the place looks quite simple, but once inside, it’s like a hidden paradise. Located right by the beach, both our family rooms had beautiful sea views. Perfect spot for nature lovers or anyone wanting to relax in and around the property, as Phu Quoc’s main attractions are a bit far. The staff were truly amazing — always a pleasure to see Chau’s smiling face, and it was lovely meeting the owner and his nephew. Such gentlemen! The owner even painted all the beautiful artwork around the property himself. Very warm and helpful team overall. I will not forget Kayaking experience with my son from the hotel to the beach!!

There weren’t many vegetarian or Indian cuisine options, but I wouldn’t consider it their fault — they seem to have fewer Indian guests and follow a unique approach by cooking fresh meals based on guest requests. The main issue was bathroom water leakage, which they tried fixing one day, but the problem returned the next day. Also, although both rooms had air conditioning, it wasn’t quite enough for the room size and the rooms got hot. Since it's a nature-centric place, we could open the windows and doors for airflow, but with children, we were a bit concerned about insects. Place is quite inside of main road but bike is easily available

After the initial activity-packed 3 weeks in Vietnam, we decided for something different, so we chose the Eco Lagoon to relax before continuing on to Cambodia. And it was different, having a couple of restful days, spending more time around local communities and with the friendly Eco Lagoon team. The accommodation is spacious, comfortable, clean and quiet. Chau was always there, in attendance should we need anything, or at the bar to prepare refreshing drinks, glad to talk with us in order to further improve her good English. Đau helped with our luggage, chef Ye-Ye prepared a delicious Cobia fish for dinner, and the young artist Phong (Fau) readily drove me on his motorbike to a nearby clinic to disinfect my wound when I stepped on a screw in the street. Phong is graduating at the painting arts academy, he is voluntarily helping out at the Eco Lagoon (owned by Peter, his mentor and an accomplished artist). We also enjoyed together a fresh seafood barbecue at sunset, prepared by Jimmy, who has a makeshift bar at the nearby beach. Jimmy actually goes with you on his bike to the street market where you choose and buy fresh fish, shrimp, squid, oysters… of your choice which he then prepares for you, on his little charcoal grill on the beach.

A word of caution, though. Ecological levels are substandard in Vietnam, like in a lot of Asia, where local population doesn’t seem to mind the garbage they leave behind. Thus it’s commendable that the Eco Lagoon team are trying to bring awareness to this issue by talking to the locals and organizing occasional clean-up efforts with other younger activists.

If you look for a quiet, peaceful place to stay in the northern part of the island: you found it! Cosy place, beautiful views on the lagoon and most friendly and caring team looking after you! Thank you Chao :-) The breakfast tastes amazing and simple lunch or dinner places were nearby (unfortunately no dinner available during my stay). Take the kayak to the beach, or explore the north of the island. Will definitely come back!

This place was literally heaven on earth. It exceeded all of our expectations. I wish the rate would be higher than 10, because it’s way more than that. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is so chill. Perfect place to relax and enjoy your holidays peacefully. Location was great, far from the commercial parts of Phu Quoc, but still close to many restaurants (which you don’t need, but we’ll get into that later) and beautiful beaches. Going to the beach by kayak was such a nice experience too. Regarding the food, omg, we didn’t eat better in any island. The chef is so talented. We were actually speechless, it was that good. We didn’t plan to go back to Phu Quoc in the nearest future but this place made us change our mind. Simply outstanding. We’re gonna remember this place for a long time and that beautiful view from the terrace.

The bed in the Riverside unit is one of the most comfortable we have had in almost one year in SE Asia in over four countries. The facilities are pretty cool with an art gallery in the front and a very pleasant staff. The view from the room is good overlooking the lagoon but since its at the walkway to the common area its not very private. The beach is pretty nice and you take a kayak to get out to it. The sunrise from this location is amazing.

The shower water is not very hot but the bathroom is big in size. The resort is in a more local spot and is a bit of a drive to restaurants and attractions but its a great value for the money.

The team were absolutely amazing and felt like a home away from home. The view from the sitting area was magical and so tranquil and there is also an art gallery by local artist Peter who's beautiful artwork is also displayed on the rooms. The meals were incredible and there's a local beach that is pretty much untouched with only a few locals. It is near the north of the island so kayaking Is available locallly and from the hotel itself, if you want more of the hustle/bustle it's a 20-30 min grab and longer if you're going to the south of the island; there are tours available and the staff are all super helpful and kind and Chau was incredible with ensuring everything went smoothly during my stay.

Location is remote but the accommodation is top notch, each staff member is kind and provides excellent service and it was special to be in that setting and disconnect. I actually think this is a pro and can travel down the island quite easily.

Staff were so friendly and accommodating. Beautiful scenery and cozy spaces. The food was excellent, many options including western & light breakfast choices, traditional Viet dishes, and some specialties - all super fresh! Can borrow a kayak or bike to go sightsee the area. Very nice clean beach right across the lagoon. Rooms are well-appointed, clean, comfortable. Quiet and peaceful area. Renting a motorbike was great to see the pepper farm, bee farm, and starfish beach. Can walk to coffee shops, small Viet restaurants, market stalls, and marts.

Need to order the food in advance so it takes some planning. Prices were a bit higher and it's quite isolated (for better or worse).
