After a long day of travelling, we arrived at Tom and Marla's and I have to say, we couldn't have chosen a better place. From the moment you step in, you're at home. Tom and Marla are the epitome of perfect hosts. Their home is very clean, comfortable and spacious. Marla is an outstanding baker who will prepare different yummy cakes, breads, and scones every morning for breakfast. They are attentive and caring. If you don't have any plans for your day, make sure you ask Tom where to go. We visited the most extraordinary places following his advice.

We only stayed 3 days. We could've stayed longer!

Breakfast was excellent. My wife has gluten allergies and Tom and Marla went out if their way to make sure her needs were met. They are very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Also the entire property is beautifully decorated with lots of interesting little knick knacks. We also appreciated the common area with tea, coffee fridge, microwave etc.

I thought the bed was a little hard. In addition, there was a bit of traffic noise as the property is located on the road to Pacific Rim. However, it did not interfere with our sleep or enjoyment at all.

The hosts Marla and Tom were amazing, very helpful and friendly. Homemade breakfast was delicious. The hotel and room were very clean. The whole place felt very comfy and cosy, you could easily stay here for a couple days and feel right at home. It's close to the city of Port Alberni and a good central location if you want to do some Vancouver Island day trips. This was easily our favourite place to stay during our 2 week British Columbia roadtrip!

The fridge and freezer are shared with other rooms. There's two of them and they are pretty spacious but you do have to leave your room if you want to grab something cold.

Tom and Marla are the nicest people! It felt so homey to stay there and they gave us amazing recommendations for the area. The room was really nice, super clean and they offered us housekeeping everyday. Breakfast was great (especially the honey baked granola), almost everything was homemade and we would definitely love to come back and stay with this lovely couple again.

Owners were a lovely couple with lots of information about the area or ideas of side trips, scenic drives, activity suggestions. They suggested Parksville sand sculptures which we weren't aware was on at that time! Great info for each guest based on what their interests were! They were very accommodating

Really, I don't think there is anything to dislike here.

Setting and location. Very nice and spacious home. Loved the many beautiful wools furnishings and decorative items.

Lack of protein at breakfast. However, I have health issues that require I don’t have to much sugar or carbs. The breakfast presented was varied and delicious. Homemade granola and pastries. Set up and presentation was excellent.

I liked the warm welcome. I felt supported and suggested place to visit was Stamp Falls. Yes, it was beautiful at SF. I like the encouragement and acknowledging everyone who was in the breakfast space. The surrounding is comfortable and warm feeling. The outside is filled with green grass and trees surrounding the lodge. The rooms were fitted for my taste. I value and appreciate the staff at CWL. Thank you!

The hosts, Tom and Marla were wonderful people. They thoughtfully provided beach towels, umbrellas and suggestions for sightseeing. The breakfast was tasty and they had dairy-free options for one couple as well as hard boiled eggs for us.

The futon and chair in room one aren’t the most comfortable.

Beautiful grounds. Tom and Marla are very friendly and helpful. The whole place was extremely clean and fresh baked goods for breakfast included with lots of other items to choose from such as home made granola, yogurts, Juices, coffee and teas. A big list of DVDs you can watch.

Sparkling clean bathroom, Marla was extremely friendly and very helpful at check in, convenient parking, excellent location. It was quiet and the room had a beautiful garden view, well shielded from the neighbors by the greenery. Most of all I would like to point out how accommodating Marla was, as I had to leave at 6am, she packed some snacks for me for the road. Will definitely stay here again.
