Breakfast and Diner was included and very delicious. It's the owners very own house, where he also lives with his family. He prepares every meal himself in it's his own open kitchen and seems to be extremely passionate and ambitious about it. Furthermore he very hospitable and is open for questions and recommendations about sightseeing attractions and also insider travel tips for the whole area. There's is even a chessboard ready for play in the livingroom which we had fun playing with.
Not really a negative point but to name something. For us it was not clearly visible that it would be a private home and that it would be more like visiting someone in it's house than a standard overnight accommodation. So at first we where a little overwhelmed because we expected something completely different. One has to be aware of that, because for us it was very unique. But to be clear, it is not hurting the experience staying here.

Character home over 100 years old and in perfect condition, with hardwood floors, renovated bathroom, warm shared area, and comfy leather couches. My room looked and felt great, overlooking Mt Arrowsmith from one window, and the Alberni inlet from the other. I am a frequent traveler and have experienced hospitality from 7-star hotels as well as shared dorms. This place has a unique offering, a European-style bed and breakfast with a twist of a "home" vibe. The hosts live there and they are pretty hands-on with managing the operation. I enjoyed having a chat with Bill and he shared his wealth of knowledge about the history of Port Alberni, the surrounding trails, and much more. The location within the town is central, and even for folks wanting to explore Tofino (and not pay a whopping $500 per night), this place is an excellent choice and just under 2 hours to get there, a reasonable drive time considering the cost saving... I am getting ready to have my breakfast this morning and hit the road again. Highly recommended

Milly and Bill were the ultimate hosts. The heritage home has been beautifully updated and it is very clean. Breakfast was plentiful, cooked from scratch, and delicious! Served with a generous side of good conversation, laughs, and information about the surrounding area. Milly and Bill went above and beyond to show us hospitality to the extent they even invited my daughter in to share breakfast with us! She had just moved to Port Alberni that weekend and we will certainly be staying here whenever we come to visit her!

We stayed for two nights and would love to go back and stay with Milly & Bill. They made the stay so comfortable and left books and coloring books in our room for the kids. They also brought out a big box of blocks to play with for the kids right after breakfast. The breakfast was delicious. They were so kind. They have kept the property very clean. The view from our balcony was beautiful. They gift all their guests organic soap bars on check out.
That our stay was short

Bill and Milly are wonderful hosts and provided an comfortable and pleasant stay. Breakfast was amazing. There were plenty of healthy options, including eggs, sausage, and homemade, sugar-free nut butter. The bedroom was clean and the bed was comfortable. I had an excellent conversation with Bill about a wide range of topics, including our mutual interest in healthy nutrition. He also gave me some great information about nearby hiking trails. I had a great time and would love to return in the future.

Milly & Bill were the best hosts. Highlight of our trip was their stay and hospitality. We loved how Milly and Bill both made sure we are full before leaving the house for the day, with their amazing homemade breakfast. Bill also gave us a lot of good suggestions for places to go around as well good places to eat. The house was very well maintained, had a very cozy vibe to it. They also gave us small souvenirs while we were leaving which again was handcrafted from Bill the artist. Overall a must recommended for anyone who wants to visit Tofino but still feel home. We would definitely visit again. Anyone who wants to stay make sure to book in advance. They are usually booked almost a year in advance. :-( You can imagine how amazing hosts they are by that. We loved it!! Thank you to both of you Bill & Milly

We stayed only 1 night at the B&B, but it was a great experience. Bill and Milly were extremely welcoming and kind, even though I made a booking failure (only booked the room for one adult instead of two). They had a good restaurant recommendation were we went for dinner. The room was cozy and everything was clean and lovely decorated. Also the bathroom was nice! In the morning we had delicious self-made granola & yoghurt and berries for breakfast, enjoyed chatting with Milly and playing with the dogs. We can definitely recommend a stay at the B&B.

This is a classic B&B in a good location in Port Alberni. The rooms are inside the house and shared with the host couple who live there. There are 2 rooms with a shared bathroom on the second floor and a suite above that with an included bathroom. The hosts are very nice and attentive, and the house is welcoming and inviting. Bill, your host, will take your suitcases up the stairs which is a big help. The meals are tasty and freshly prepared. The hosts are strict about check-in time so don’t show up before 5 PM.
The place is not suitable to anyone with mobility issues as there are a lot of stairs to reach the front door and an additional set of stairs to reach the rooms. Also, shoes are not allowed in the house.

Super clean…lots of common space…liked the pond. Really appreciated that dinner was included which is highly unusual. Available & accommodating hosts, who helped with our luggage. Thanks so much, Millie & Bill!
No place to hang towels, didn’t like having the bathroom in my room (sliding door woke me up every time Valerie used it), food was dictated by vegetarians (we would have liked some meat or fish options.) Recommend letting guests know beforehand what was for dinner so we could decide if we wanted to stay or not.

Bill and Millie are very friendly and filled with knowledge of the area and town. They are very happy to chat but also happy to give you space when needed. The rooms were immaculate and cozy. From their home we were able to easily explore the Alberni Valley and do day trips to Ucluelet and Tofino. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the large attic suite while our adult son and his wife enjoyed one of the 2nd floor bedrooms.
