The previous comments say it all, but I just want to confirm that this is a top-notch perfect hotel. Every single aspect of this hotel is best in class. The hotel itself is luxury at its purest, very spacious, nice bathroom, bathtub and shower, very comfortable bed. (Deluxe Room). The view at the runway is unique and super impressive. The location could not be better. Right in the center of the airport, so arriving in or departing from Vancouver could not be more comfortable nor easier. The staff was more than friendly, we received a late checkout free of charge, and everybody we encountered was more than friendly. Thank you to all the team for being so passionate about the hotel, I hardly ever experienced this consistency of kindness in a hotel which felt authentic. Flying to Vancouver next time, our first and last night will be in the Fairmont Airport Hotel, that’s for sure.

The location is excellent as it is within the airport terminal. We were able to negotiate a late 3pm checkout for a fee of $70 plus $12 in taxes which they don’t tell you about. The staff on the front desk were very helpful, and the housekeeping staff in the 13th floor were exceptionally helpful. I’ve never met housekeeping staff as polite and friendly and helpful anywhere including on cruise ships. They were lovely and made all the difference to our stay. Loved the view from the 13th floor overlooking the airport. The food in the bar was delicious - we chose to eat there rather than the restaurant as we preferred their menu options.

No mirror in the bedroom. Only 3 towels provided for two people with late checkout. The room caters for 4 adults so 4 towels were expected. We needs to use towels to dry swimming costumes after using the spa and pool. At the price plus the late checkout extra we paid, I’d expect extra towels should be supplied without having to ask.

Convenience - we took the bus/ferry/bus combo from downtown Victoria directly to the hotel. We jused the skytrain to have dinner with friends in Gastown, returned to the hotel the same way and then had a friend join us for breakfast in the Fairmont dining room before boarding our plane back to Toronto. We have done this at least twice before and will book the hotel for our trip next year for the same reasons. Convenience and comfort and staff helpfulness.

The fast check out didn't work. And the free WiFi wouldn't provide access to both my wife's and my devices....it seemed as if only one access was allowed per room. Not convenient.

Our stay was brief. Only one night but you can’t beat the location. It’s about a 5 minute walk to get there from Arrivals. We were tired after a long journey so we needed comfort, convenience and some peace and quiet. The employees are professional and friendly. We ordered in room dining and it was quick and delicious. The room itself is nice, beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. It might seem pricier but if you consider the distance to other hotels, Ubers or taxi involved plus I’m not sure that other hotels nearby have the same soundproofing to get a good rest. We would choose Fairmont again.

Nothing to mention but I couldn’t find a plug near the nightstand to plug in our phones. I never inquired about it though.

We preplanned our one-night stay before our 7 a.m. flight from Vancouver back home to Texas. Staying within the actual airport was perfect. We walked out of the lobby and into the airport terminal at 5 a.m. I literally searched for hotels close to YVR and this Fairmont came up. We had never stayed in a Fairmont before -ultimate luxury. We even enjoyed a dip in the indoor pool and soaked in the hot tub - all while looking out the window at the airport terminal below. We also thoroughly enjoyed cocktails and dinner at the Jetside Lounge. A wonderful end to our week in Vancouver and Victoria.

We would have liked a concession type store on location to buy softdrinks, as we didn’t want to use our minibar.

The bed was extremely comfortable and the view was great. Very quiet all through the night.

The decor felt a bit pretentious - so many shiny black surfaces - and it wasn't easy to figure out the light switches (labels had worn off) or coffee and tea systems. Perhaps you could supply a card explaining how to make coffee and tea. The small amount of filtered water in the sleek little carafe seemed odd - not enough for my thirst and it implies that there is something less desirable about the tap water. A microwave and small refrigerator would have been nice for the price.

Beds here are AMAZING. It's pricey (compared to downtown, but not compared to luxury downtown), but it's RIGHT at US departures and all-inside to int'l and Canada flights. Bathtubs are super-long - pretty much anyone can lie flat in it. It's so large that it's actually difficult to get out sometimes! Shower is a cool rainforest shower. Like sheets of warm rain hitting you, not the usual Silkwood-like spray that I typically enjoy.

Pool was weird. Hot tub had A LOT of foam in it (someone needs to change the water/manage the Ph better), pool was COLD and under-filled. No steps to get in, either. Sauna was nice and the large locking lockers were a bonus.

Convenience - this hotel is perfectly located in the terminal building by the US departures so you don't have to go outside to enter. After a 13 hour flight from NZ with an overnight connection to Eastern Canada, it is simply brilliant. It's a bit pricey and I wouldn't pay more than $350 per night but the convenience of not having to shuttle to an outside location is worth the $350 CAD. The room itself, if you are lucky, overlooks the airport so you can see all the aircrafts parked at the gate which adds a bit of spark to your stay as does the mountains in the background. And the room is fantastic, quiet, great bed, good TV with many channels, shower and bath and even white bathrobes (I won't wear them at home but for some reason, in hotels, I just love white bathrobes!). Next morning, you walk out and just head to your flight so it makes for a very relaxing experience in between not so relaxing experiences (Flying is not fun these days!). The staff were friendly and helpful. If you want a spot of shopping, there's an outlet mall just two train stops from the airport and it's free to ride. If you don't want to splurge on expensive hotel meals, you can re-enter the terminal building for cheaper options. I usually fly straight through but from now on, will consider breaking my journey and stay at this hotel again.

Not a single complaint.

The room was comfortable and clean, and there was even an aircraft identification card provided so we could match the planes we saw. Although there was a small issue at check-in, the manager promptly called to apologize and offered a voucher for a complimentary set meal at the restaurant. I really appreciated this proactive approach to handling the situation.

Since we had to catch a red-eye flight, we only stayed for 8 hours and didn’t get a chance to have a proper rest or enjoy the hotel’s facilities. That was probably the only regret.

I don't know why more airports were not designed with terminal hotels! This was such a stress-free experience. The room, especially the bathroom, were lovely. Loved watching the air traffic come in. Restaurant and fireplaces were nice to relax by. The only complaint is that the check-in clerk offered me an upgrade(with a price tag), for the same room that I already had. I do not like when hotels try to upgrade for something better, when it's the same view and amenities. Nothing was different about the room. This room was more than I normally pay, but I paid for convenience, and it was worth it.
