The location is nice

The room was not clean, there were hairs at the bathroom. Room facing the outdoor restaurant, it was loud at night. The quality of the room does not match what I paid for

The hotel is on the far east side of Granville Island, and our room faced a small grassy hill overlooking the water. The room was immaculate, and I loved the fact that the refrigerator door was glass - so easy to se if you forgot something. ;). I was concerned at first with our room being closest to the elevator, but the room is very well insulated. We actually had to open the window to get a little fresh air and cool down the room, but people walking outside was the most of the noise all weekend. The restaurant downstairs seems very swanky, but we stopped in after a full day of shopping for a happy hour cocktail and it was delicious. Every staff member was wonderful the entire time - very gracious and helpful. Great location to explore all Granville has to offer!

Parking is a bit of a pinch - we always got parking but that was a little lucky on our part. Be aware if you go you may not be able to park in their lot - I assume it gets even worse during the summer tourist season.

The location was ideal for enjoying Granville Island by walking. The harbour ferries took us downtown. We had our pup with us and the lovely parks and waterfront locatiion were great for his walks. The shower and bathroom were awesome. I really enjoyed the health facilities, the sauna and hot tub were very relaxing. I like the more smaller style of these facilities because it wasn't crowded with people. The bed was super comfortable and spacious. The amenities in the hotel were very clean. We ate dinner at the restaurant and it was really exceptiional.

Next time we would request a non adjoining room because there was a little noise from the door. Our pup was sensitive to that.

Rooms a little tired

We were so pleasantly surprised by the Granville Island Hotel! We weren't too sure what to expect - we had neve been to Vancouver before and didn't know what Granville was like. We were charmed immediately! The hotel lobby is gorgeous, the staff were excellent, and our room was cozy, clean, and ready 4 hours ahead of schedule. The restaurant downstairs is exceptional and so easily accessible. We were able to walk down to the Granville Island Market for breakfast every morning, which was absolutely lovely. We would love to come back again!

The room was beautiful and clean. The staff were lovely. Of course the location on Granville Island is wonderful.

I found that both the lobby, especially by the front desk, and all of their soaps and lotions in the room were intensely scented. If you are at all sensitive to strong scents that linger I would not recommend staying here. Also the first night I could hear the fellow in the room next door snoring like crazy. I heard nothing the next night, and there was no other room noise, so I suspect he just wasn't incredibly loud snorer.

This is my go to hotel, when I am in YVR on business. It is an oasis in the city. It is fun to take the little putt-putt ferry over to downtown for meetings. The food is exceptional, the front desk really work hard, and I just love Granville Island. It is faster to the airport, than other downtown adjacent hotels. It is very very good. To be honest, I always feel a little guilty when I stay there in February on business, while my wife is at home suffering through the Calgary winter. The photo is from my table as I ate breakfast.

It is pricey, but I believe the value is commensurate.

Location superb and food and staff likewise.

I felt there wasn't enough choice at breakfast - for example no cereal. My partner and I had only bacon and egg for breakfast most days but were charged the price of the full GI breakfast. Perhaps it's a nationality thing, but it felt weird to be asked to tip quite a large percentage for every meal including breakfast. I specifically had to request a kettle for tea in the morning, but there was no milk to go with it.

Granville Island hotel was a real delight. Located on an island in the midst of a very artistic community surrounded by boats and marinas. Just a 5 minute walk to the most amazing and extensive Public / Farmers market I have ever enjoyed. Easy to walk and or take the water taxi to get around Granville Island and over to Vancouver City proper. Shops across the island are great. Many many lovely art and curios shops and especially nice to find local artists. Granville Island hotel hosts one of the finest restaurants in Vancouver, BC, The Dockside, and I would whole heartedly recommend it to anyone.

Charming hotel overlooking the bay. Step out onto the gorgeous sea wall walk around False Creek. Wonderful location on Granville Island. Close to Granville shops but also easy to get to other areas of the city.

Staff are super friendly and helpful, but sometimes seem a little harried. Bills at restaurant, room items, took a couple of tries. The hotel is very comfortable albeit a little dated.
