The location is excellent. You don't need a car. You can walk or take public transportation everywhere. The room was very comfortable and having a kitchen was a bonus. There's a grocery store about 1 1/2 blocks away.

Location was great, easy to get around without using public transport. The apartment contained most of what was needed to cater for ourselves, the washing machine was particularly helpful. Staff on reception quickly and efficiently sorted out an alternative to our first apartment which did not meet our expectations. The block was very easy to find we arrived in the dark and the large lit sign could be seen from quite some distance!

Our booked apartment was disappointing but we were able to change this the next morning. We would have preferred some more cooking utensils in particular a baking tray or two. The area was in the heart of downtown Vancouver and as such was busy but the convenience of this outweighed any drawbacks.

Room was perfect for a small family. The pull-out bed and the additional storage in the coffee table were very handy. The crockery and cutlery was just as needed. The washer-dryer in the room was super convenient. The high floor (23rd) offered a great view and very little street noise. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was very good.

There was no air-conditioning in the bedroom, which would have made it much more comfortable. Breakfast option would have made the stay perfect, especially given that the room was quite expensive! Being charged a dollar for a detergent pod (when we stayed for 8 nights) kind of seemed petty!

We were quite surprised after reading a few negative reviews about this property. We had one of the newly renovated rooms, and loved the size, comfort and amenities available. The lifts were relatively quick from reception and room level too! The bathroom was quite small, but to be expected for a city stay. Bed and pillows were comfortable, and having a kitchen allowed us to make breakfast each day and use the fridge etc. Location is great - we walked everywhere and got some bikes one day from English Bay Bike Rentals a few blocks away. Supermarket and cafes are all nearby and everything is so accessible from the hotel! Plenty of room for hanging clothes and opening out suitcases in the living area. Everything we needed for our stay!

The couch was quite hard.

The location is perfect... right on Davie and close to everything in the downtown area. You can easily walk to English Bay, Stanley Park, Canada Place. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The building feels secure, even though the neighborhood is safe as well. The room was clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy (which is something I like). I liked the kitchenette and the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. We had a nice city view outside our window.

Like everything else in Vancouver, room rate is expensive. But this was the best price at the best location. It was OK spending the extra money. It would also be nice if the pool was indoor (or partially indoor).

Apartment was clean, very modern with good facilities. Kitchen was well stocked with appliances and a full size oven. Bed was large, comfortable and bedroom had a large wardrobe. Heating was good and balcony was great with a lovely view. Bathroom was stylish, big shower and good sized sink with lots of mirrors. Staff friendly and very helpful. Overall an amazing stay.!

Hotel was in the middle of renovation so there was some disruption to usual facilities i.e restaurants and pool

It was a good value for the price as it was like our own little apartment with a kitchen that had dishes and pots and pans and a living room. It had a work desk and a little café style table that we used as a second work desk. There’s a pull out sofa bed if needed.The little veranda was cute and with nice weather, We would’ve been out there a lot. Maybe the best part was the location and the price. We went to Stanley Park about every other day and love that it was only five minutes away. There were more restaurants from every nationality on that street! I got my haircut at a store two doors down. I got fresh fruit at the little store four doors down. There’s a pharmacy across the street and a couple doors down that includes a post office. And we could walk to most events downtown. We even walked home from the botanical gardens though that was about an hour or more walk.

Everything was fine! One thing to be aware of is that the elevator can take a few minutes to arrive, but just factor that into your travel plans. One little thing: the kitchen is quite well stocked, but needed to have at least one pot holder.

this place is soooo much nicer after renovations. Rooms were spacious and had quality improvemewnts

Sandman Suites on Davie was very walkable and in a very central location. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go and there were plenty of great restaurants along the street. The suite itself was large and comfortable. We were able to get a recently renovated suite facing the ocean and the views were impeccable.

It was strange that the only air conditioning unit was in the living room. In order to cool the bedroom, we had to blast the unit all day which made it too cold to hang out in the living area. Additionally, only two out of three elevators were working while we were there which sometimes made wait times longer during busy times.

The suite was newly renovated and was very clean. The bathroom was very nice and the kitchen was very well stocked in terms of dishes, pots and pans and appliances. The bed was very comfy as was, to our surprise, the fold out couch in.the living room. I appreciated that the sheets were clean and crisp and had no floral or chemical fragrance. The hotel is located on.a nice part of Davie Street. Lots of nice restaurants as well as a President's Choice Indipendent Grocery store just down the street a wonderful Kims vegetable and fruit market right next door and a 24 hour Shoppers Drug Mart. On Saturdays in the spring and summer there is a street market just a few blocks over. Oh and I really appreciated the security of needing our room cards to use the elevator-so much better when the lobby opens onto the street. Parking worked out very well and it was relatively easy to get to Bard on the Beach (which we could see from one of the suites windows- a very nice view all around) which was our reason for being in town. All the staff people we met were pleasant and helpful.

No real problems. Davie Street is busy and somewhat noisy when the door to the balcony was open. It is a busy neighbourhood. The bedroom was, however, quiet with the door shut.
