The hotel is in an outstanding location downtown, being close to many of the city's main sites as well as the trendy districts of Yaletown and Gastown. The room was a decent size and very clean and comfortable. Despite only being on the fourth floor, the room also felt quiet.

We didn't use the dining room or other facilities as they seemed very expensive. Perhaps there was some kind of discount for guests but we weren't made aware of it; check-in felt rather rushed and although all the staff we interacted with were polite, I couldn't say anyone seemed particularly warm or friendly (surprisingly, considering how friendly the city seemed to be in general).

The newly renovated rooms are wonderful. We have stayed in a suite the last two times with her two children and it’s a perfect size for a small family. We also love the proximity to the restaurant, which is excellent.

Our only complaint in potential reason for not returning is that our kids love going to the swimming pool and hot tubs during hotel stays. Unfortunately, the swimming pool area could be completely renovated. The floor tile grouting is always dirty, random hairs, and the hot tub water during our last visit looked murky. Even the bathroom had cobwebs as if it doesn’t get cleaned regularly. If you were to upgrade this area without a doubt, this would be our favourite hotel but we have stayed another downtown where the pool area is much cleaner and more modern. It’s definitely an area to consider investing in.

We arrived during the Christmas holidays and at the same time, my partner and I both said that the hotel reminded us of the Home Alone movie. The Hotel was decorated so beautifully! ALL the staff in the entire hotel are friendly and clearly well versed in customer service. The hotel was in a great location of town, very clean and close to everything you need. There is even a wine/beer store attached to the hotel and a grocery store across the street. I really liked that the hotel had its own driveway for pick ups and drop offs. The hotel was buzzing with good energy. The resteraunt was also fantastic! Everything you need in one spot.

There is no fridge for personal items. They provide a fridge full of snacks, drinks and liquor for purchase. You cannot remove the items or you will be charged (weighted items).

FIRST-CLASS HOTEL WITH POOL, HOT TUB AND GYM. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Most of the things were pretty good. - The room was clean, big and had everything what one would except (except a ceiling lamp). - All the employees were very very nice and treated me like a guest in a 5* hotel. - Great location! - Fast elevators. - Good restaurant.

There were three major issues: - The wifi was very poor, it was failing very often! Often it disconnected or stopped working and I had to re-login. - Gym was mediocre at best. Very little equipment, no space to put down your phone and/or other things. Most people would probably not be able to do their favorite workout routine fully because surely at least for one of your exercises you would not find the equipment. - No ceiling lamp so the room was always dark even if you switched all the desk or bed lamps on. I think this is a major issue in the whole north America but that doesn't excuse the hotel for not doing better. Overall I think this hotel was not necessarily a 5* but considering the price it was satisfying anyway.

Amazing hotel in the heart of Vancouver downtown. Only 20 min walk from Stanley park, 20 min walk to the ferry to get to grandville public market island, a few steps away from Robson street with all the shopping stores, a few steps from Pacific center just to name a few. The rooms are comfortable! Service is excellent. We would definitely stay again if we ever have the chance to come to this amazing city.

They should definitely include the breakfast. There are so many hotels in Vancouver downtown and almost none of them are offering breakfast included in the price. This would help them stand out from competition. Also note that the steam rooms are located in the lockers one floor up from the pool. You cannot go with your partner which kind of suck a little. It would be nice to have put the steam rooms in a different room so we can share the experience.

I loved how there was front doormen to open the doors and help with luggage. Also, that there is a covered round-about for drop off and pickups for the cars/taxi. Front staff very friendly and knowledgeable. The location is perfect for all the downtown amenities!

The checkout process is old fashioned, had to wait in line to hand in the room key and get a receipt. The mattresses themselves were pretty worn out, they had indents from all the sleeping/using them on each side. The pool itself was very busy, but nice with the solarium roof and the hot tub was a nice large size. However, the change rooms, I did not find, only a small bathroom to use to change. The signage definitely needs to be updated for this, and more precise. I saw many people walking through the entire pool area to get to the changerooms (which i still did not see).

The service from all staff was exceptional — warm, friendly, and so welcoming. I really loved how spacious my room was, and the bed was sleeping on a fluffy cloud. There were plenty of amenities at the hotel, on the residence side, and the restaurant was fabulous. The neighbourhood was wonderful - lots to eat and drink, and it was central to everything Downtown (with Burrard Station just a short walk towards the water… but the city itself is entirely walkable in any direction). If you’d like to use the laundry facilities, make sure you have $2 coins available otherwise you can withdraw cash or break notes in the hotel convenience store :)

The hotel is very nice and elegant. It's in a very good place in the center of Vancouver. The staff is extremely kind and professional. the rooms are very large, elegant, and comfortable.

The hotel is very close to a fire station (I guess) so it happens quite often during the night to hear the noise of firefighters in action. Even if my room was on the 16th floor I was still able to hear quite a bit of noise coming from the city. Another negative point is that, for such a high-quality and nice hotel, is a bit sad to see rust marks on the towels and bed sheets.

We had a great stay at Sutton Place, very well located, comfy beds and good size rooms, lovely bathrooms and towels, everyone was very friendly and helpful. Our room had an insane view of Vancouver, especially at sunrise and sunset. The view was perfect as we got engaged during our stay, and loved waking up after to an incredible sunrise. The swimming pool was a lovely bonus, and great after a long day exploring Vancouver. We had a room service breakfast which was all done online and very easy to do. Food at the attached restaurant was great! Especially the Cod tacos! Getting uber eats was really simple and loved that they came straight to your door. We also used the laundry service which was incredibly efficient and loved that they left it hung up and wrapped in our wardrobe.

Only things that could be better were a slightly larger safe and for the tea bags and milk to be topped up slightly more regularly. However we made the safe work, and everytime we needed more tea, they would bring it straight away.
