A one night stay at West End Guest House was the perfect way to celebrate my teen’s birthday. Beautiful, tastefully decorated house, friendly, helpful and accommodating staff, and walking distance to most of the things we wanted to see in the west end (we walk a lot though). The breakfast and 24 hr access to coffee, tea, canned drinks and the *amazing* homemade baked goods were delicious and an added bonus. The extra special touches for my son’s birthday were very much appreciated. Thank you so much for a memorable stay, we enjoyed our time here so much and my son is already asking if we can come back again in the future.

The inn has a sophisticated charm and is impeccably clean. The rooms are comfortable, the staff is warm, and the breakfast is hearty, delicious, and features elevated takes on the classics. (Every breakfast included a wonderful bread item, lovely fruit bowl, and hearty main with a protein and vegetables--plenty of fuel for a day of exploring! Our favorites were the goat cheese tartlet with tomato and balsamic drizzle, avocado toast with tomato, tomatillo, and bacon, and the lime and white chocolate scones!) The neighborhood is leafy, quiet and a delight to stroll in the evenings. A number of restaurants and shops are just a block away

Thank you for such a welcoming stay. The hotel reminded me of an English boutique hotel and the service was excellent. I arrived in the early hours of the morning and there were little cakes in the kitchen and a kettle and tea pots. I always drink hot water and herbal teas and this was such a surprise that when I got in, this was all available. The bedroom was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. And the breakfast was absolutely delicious. I couldn’t eat in the hotel for two mornings as I had early trips booked and the kitchen prepared a beautiful breakfast box for me with sandwich and fruits and a sweat treat. Everyone was jealous on my bus when I unwrapped it. Next time I am in Vancouver I will definitely stay there again. Thank you very much 🥰🥰😫

I liked everything

Lots of character, the bed was very comfy and the bed sheets were super soft! Breakfast was great and the little serve yourself area with drinks and fresh baked goodies was especially welcome!

I was in the single room. Although the bed was wider than a single bed, it was only just long enough with the wall at the end (I’m 5ft 9 or 173cms) so probably wouldn’t be great if you were taller than that. The is no main air conditioning but there is a mini unit in the room as well as a ceiling fan which although noisy, did the job.

Very friendly staff, beautiful house and perfectly located near many hotspots and attractions. You feel any immediate sense of calm when you enter, with the quirky decor creating the perfect atmosphere for relaxation. Striking scenery of mountains in the surrounding area about 2 minutes from the front door if that! The bed is one of the most comfortable ever!

I personally loved it, but I can see the fixed menus being an issue for some who are more picky eaters. They were very willing to accommodate and provide alternatives such as toast, however there was no menu I saw to select from. I wouldn't recommend it for picky eaters, although they will gladly accommodate any food intolerances or allergies!

Very charming, inviting place with beautiful pieces of art throughout. Staying here felt like a treat. Fabulous three course breakfast (melt in your mouth zucchini muffin, prime fruit salad, avocado toast with bacon, egg, sweet potatoes, and vegetable medley). Very comfortable bed, nice modern bathroom with large shower. Great location - walk to restaurants, shops, major attractions. Since we traveled by car, free parking was a huge plus. There are four parking spaces right behind the house, and four more somewhere nearby, so one for every room. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Nothing. We liked everything!

The location was perfect for exploring the city. We had a rental car for longer trips, but walked to visit Gastown, Chinatown, and even Mount Pleasant (we Ubered back). The bed was incredibly comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. We spent 3-nights, and enjoyed hanging out in the front parlor each evening relaxing with our friends. No issues parking, there were dedicated spots behind the house.

Nothing really to report here. Since we had a car, we were able to get out and further explore farther than downtown. I guess one issue for our friends who stayed in Room 3, there was a guy across the hall that snored so loudly, they could hear it in their room. Its an old housel so not sound-proof.

From start to finish, this place was top-notch! We got in on the train super late (after midnight) and filled out a form to see if we could possibly have a to-go breakfast put together in a box for us because we were leaving early the next morning. When we walked down from our room to leave the next morning, we saw a box with our room number on it, and inside was the best breakfast ever! Seriously, this place is nothing but class!

Nothing. This place is beautiful and the people who run the establishment are amazing!

It was our anniversary and the chef made us anniversary cupcakes, they were yummy! The breakfast is so nice 3 courses in a beautiful dining room filled with artwork and memorabilia...delicious! Great parking and our car enjoyed 3 days parked in the back while we walked everywhere, it is such a good location, we even rode bikes around the seawall.

Loved the location...we didn't use our car once! We really enjoyed this historic B&B because every morning, we got to speak to our fellow travellers about their trips in the area. All, over a marvelous breakfast. The portions were so generous that we didn't need to eat again till dinner! It was so quiet and comfortable. The staff was welcoming and so friendly with many tips about the sites.....so appreciated! David, Katie, Maria.....thank you!
