The room was fabulous. We knew there were no stairs from the website. My husband has recently had surgery. We were allocated a room on the second floor, but when we told Shann the situation he changed us to a much larger more expensive suite on the first floor at no extra charge. He also happily carried our luggage to the room. Shann was so helpful & courteous.

The construction noise. There were renovations happening. It was right outside our window & woke us up in the morning. Also the hotel next door was being demolished which also created noise. However, it was worth the noise to have the very large suite. Another very minor point, The hairdryer was hopeless. It was so slow & lacked power.

No real complaints. Great place and would stay again/recommend to other people. Only negatives were obviously the construction, but even that was fine, and the carpets in the room were gross and dirty, I did not want to take my shoes off.

The check in process was so easy with super friendly staff and a bag drop service until our room was ready. There were some renovations going on but it didn’t affect our stay at all. The location was great! Super central and easy to find. The room was way larger than we expected and the beds were very comfy. The shower was phenomenal! There was an ice machine and a vending machine which was awesome and the staff gave us lots of recommendations for cafes and restaurants and things to do. Great value for money!

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is excellent—close to everything we needed, and perfect for exploring the city on foot. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. While there’s no elevator, we were informed ahead of time and appreciated the clear communication. Part of the hotel was under construction, but it didn’t affect our experience. Overall, a great value and welcoming atmosphere—we would gladly stay here again.

Perfect Location to get around Downtown Vancouver. There is a very good Breakfast right next to the hotel. The rooms are clean and they make an effort to clean the rooms everyday when you're gone. You get everything you expect from a 3 star hotel. The staff is also very friendly. Would recommend if you are on a budget for a small trip to Downtown Vancouver

This boutique hotel is a blast from the past. Funky stairwells, wide hallways and the character of the building is everywhere. For the price, this hotel was well worth a visit. The bed was comfy and the room was very clean. We had to ask for a kettle so we could make coffee in our room in the morning (we brought our own supplies - cups, coffee, cream & sugar. There's a Tim Hortons 1/2 a block away & a Cora's breakfast 2 doors down.

We had a King Suite. The carpet was not laid correctly and was a tripping hazard. Major rolls that kept catching. Since it was in the direct path to the washroom, it was a concern. Bathtub did not drain properly. As I took my shower I stood in a couple inches of water. Old building issue I think.

The hotel has a great location downtown, on the main street, so you can walk everywhere downtown. The hotel is not the newest or the fanciest, but it serves the purpose. At the moment, some renovations are going on but it didn't affect our stay (maybe because we were there on the weekend?) Even if it is on one of the main streets (our room was at the back) it was really quiet during the night.

Just about the only affordable hotel in Vancouver. Great location! Room renovations have really upgraded the experience. Friendly staff.

Nothing, really. They are still doing Reno’s on another part of the hotel but it didn’t affect me at all. Two minor things: the window didn’t lock properly but it would’ve taken Spider-Man to get in! And the heaters were a bit aggressive - I had to keep turning them down.

The Location is GOOD in Downtown Vancouver… everywhere is walkable, but the gentle hills can take a toll if an extended stay…. But the #6 Bus is handy running along Robson St…. So many food options on Robson St, or a 10 minute walk over the top to Davie St finds many more as well as at the end of the #6 Bus Route at English Bay. I had two stays… a Three Night, and this SIX night…. The room for the six night was better than the three night, better location in the back corner of the hotel as opposed to the front facing onto Occasionally Noisy Robson St… also the bathroom was bigger and in better condition than the first stay.

I was happy enough with it.

Room was a good size, two comfy beds with extra pillows and blankets in the closet. Fridge is a good size if you'd prefer to have drinks in your room. Being so close to many restaurants and shops made it easy to grab a bite early in the morning or late in the evening, depending on our plans.

The windows don't have screens in them, so if you want fresh air without running the A/C you do run the risk of bugs getting in. Pretty small concern overall though.
