Our "Apartment with Two Queen Beds" was a decent size, light and airy, well fitted, with a generous kitchen and dining area. We found a hugely discounted rate. TIP: Vigilantly monitor rates which fluctuate widely day to day. A range of $100s from day to day. Although promoted as a hotel, it seems all the rooms/apartments are individually owned, and are different, resulting in wide variation in rates, and it seems owners regularly tweak the asking rate on a daily basis. Hence rates fluctuate constantly and enormously, especially with last minute rates - more than $100 per night difference over a 1 day monitoring period! Also $300 pn more for a room vs an apartment, but with a quieter outlook, when booked 3 weeks ahead vs an apartment on the street booked 1 week ahead.

Our apartment fronted busy Robson Street and faced a high rise building site, hence the expansive windows with no sheer curtains offered no privacy unless you sat with the heavy curtains closed. It was also noisey. I advise inspecting each room to ensure it suits your needs.

Friendly staff. Manager Diana was attentive as I had a slight issue with cockroaches in my room. It was on one of the lower floors and I was told it may have been left / brought in by the previous occupants as she assured me that they have pest control coming in every month. In any event, the problem was immediately corrected and I was placed in a different room on a higher floor. The newer room was a bit smaller and not the higher priced room type I originally booked, but it was clean and sufficient for my needs. Location was great with a bus stop right outside of the hotel. Also many restaurants nearby and supermarkets within a 15min walk or so. 24 hr Tim Hortons also just a block away. Staff were very friendly and greeted me every time. Internet was sufficient for my need and speed was good and no connection issues. Kitchen stove was unplugged by default, presumably for safety reason. But staff was quick to plug it back for me upon request. Only one elevator in the building but never had to wait for more than a minute or so. Building is old and dated but other than the small incident mentioned above, I found the hotel to be generally clean and well kept. I think for the price it's very good value for money, especially in terms of location.

We stayed at Divya Hotel for three nights (two adults and my 8-year-old daughter), and it was a wonderful experience. The moment we entered the room, it felt like home. The kitchenette was fully equipped with complete kitchenware, a microwave, and a large refrigerator, making it easy to prepare meals. If you prefer cooking, you can bring your own uncooked food and enjoy the convenience. A small tip: bring your own slippers, as the rooms are not carpeted, which will make your stay even more comfortable. Our room was spotless with no unpleasant smells upon arrival. The location is another highlight, with plenty of restaurants just a short walk away. Overall, I highly recommend Divya Hotel. We had a fantastic stay!

This was a last minute booking. Excellent location near bus routes, grocery stores and restaurants. Room and bathroom were very comfortable and clean. Building is old, but clean. Friendly staff and good communication.

Parking could be cheaper for guests (current prices per night=$30 rear parking (outdoor) - $35 underground plus tax) Hotel is really strict about check-out time, while other hotels would be flexible and occasionally offer a courtesy late check-out (e.g.: one hour), this one won't offer extra 10 minutes. They will charge extra if you need it, so be prepared. Usually other hotels will charge you by the room, this one charges you by the number of people. There were two queen beds in the room, we had a change of plans and my friend decided to bring two kids instead of one, so we had to play CAD$10 plus tax for the second child. They didn't have to bring an extra bed or pillows, so what was the reason the charge?

Gentleman at reception was very friendly and helpful. Great location near coal harbour and 20 min walk to gastown area. Good value for money. We'd had to book at late notice because we had booked another hotel which was too awful to stay in and was a sunk cost so it was perfect to find a place not too swanky but still totally fine to stay in. They let us have a late check out for free which was nice of them.

Would have liked if like other canadian hotels that service is just on request. We were there for 3 nights so other than getting coffee pods which can get on request we'd just prefer privacy but that was my only gripe.

Excellent location, a nice place to spend the night and rest after a long day of walking. The quality and price ratio was excellent for staying one night for less than 80 CAD in my experience.

It seemed exaggerated to me that my one-night reservation had a cost of 80 CAD, but when I checked in they applied a charge of 400 CAD as damage protection for paying with debit. (And when paying with credit the charge is usually 50 CAD). There is a lot of difference and that seemed too much to me. It's the only thing that affected my experience at the place.

Apartment-size one-bedroom corner unit (all rooms are corner I think) in great Robson Street location, walking distance to Stanley Park, West End, etc.

All good, but hotel will book rooms as either studio (bedroom door locked) or one-bedroom (bedroom unlocked), and Booking.com info isn't completely clear about which is which in their listing. Recommend calling hotel to verify that you will have access to the bedroom, if wanted, to avoid confusion and/or extra charge at hotel.

Not the fault of the property, but on the front side there was construction going on across the road.

The location was amazing, right on Robson St but far enough from the noise. Close walk to Stanley Park and the harbour. The room was surprisingly large with plenty of storage and a full kitchen and with the hotel floor layout, noise from other rooms was nonexistent. The staff was awesome, Heroko at check in, was very friendly and Shane in the morning had the biggest smile, she was very friendly and very helpful. We will definitely stay here again.

We found there was a lip joining the floors between the living room and dining room that we tripped over every time. Also, there wasn’t a lid on the toilet. There wasn’t a lot of counter space so it would’ve been nice to be able to place clothes on there while showering. Also, I was scared of knocking something into the toilet.

Excellent value for the money. Spacious room had a well equipped kitchenette with a proper fridge, microwave, stove, and table. Our room had panoramic windows all along the north side, providing a bright and pleasant harbour view. Lots of eateries and restaurants to choose from on Robson St, as well as a Safeway and Whole Foods supermarket.

Slightly dated, but still clean. One slow elevator for the entire hotel can get very congested around check-out time! Bicycles are not allowed in the building by policy, and must be kept in their bike storage area.
