Very centrally located hotel in downtown Vancouver with very kind staff. The rooms and facilities are clean and well cared for, though they show their age and feel a bit run down (ongoing renovation work will hopefully improve this). The stop for bus line 5 is right in front of the hotel entrance, offering an easy one-change connection to and from the airport via the Canada Line in about 35 minutes.

The renovation work currently limits accessibility: there are no elevators, and you must climb a set of stairs to reach the reception. The included Wi-Fi is slow and sometimes unstable.

Excellent location in busy business area but quiet. Older building but well maintained. Good size room, modern bath, adequate electrical outlets, and room telephone allowed calls to USA. Helpful and friendly front desk staff Reasonable rate.

No elevator and many stairways makes it challenging for travelers with many and/or big luggage. Also seniors and anyone with physical limitations may find getting around the hotel an issue. Remodeling construction work in process on premises although not a problem. A/C is a window unit which means the curtains must be open for best efficiency. Also room lighting was a bit weak. Could use a table lamp at the writing desk.

The room was fabulous. We knew there were no stairs from the website. My husband has recently had surgery. We were allocated a room on the second floor, but when we told Shann the situation he changed us to a much larger more expensive suite on the first floor at no extra charge. He also happily carried our luggage to the room. Shann was so helpful & courteous.

The construction noise. There were renovations happening. It was right outside our window & woke us up in the morning. Also the hotel next door was being demolished which also created noise. However, it was worth the noise to have the very large suite. Another very minor point, The hairdryer was hopeless. It was so slow & lacked power.

No real complaints. Great place and would stay again/recommend to other people. Only negatives were obviously the construction, but even that was fine, and the carpets in the room were gross and dirty, I did not want to take my shoes off.

The check in process was so easy with super friendly staff and a bag drop service until our room was ready. There were some renovations going on but it didn’t affect our stay at all. The location was great! Super central and easy to find. The room was way larger than we expected and the beds were very comfy. The shower was phenomenal! There was an ice machine and a vending machine which was awesome and the staff gave us lots of recommendations for cafes and restaurants and things to do. Great value for money!

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is excellent—close to everything we needed, and perfect for exploring the city on foot. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. While there’s no elevator, we were informed ahead of time and appreciated the clear communication. Part of the hotel was under construction, but it didn’t affect our experience. Overall, a great value and welcoming atmosphere—we would gladly stay here again.

Location is excellent, if your wanting to be near shopping and stanley park, the Barclay is an amazing place to stay. The cost was also very well suited since most hotels in the area overcharge this time of the year. Cora being below is also a nice touch for breakfast.

Cleanliness of the room, the bedsheets had a few black spots on the base of the bed likely stained. Also the TV was super old and wasn't the greatest quality of picture.

Perfect Location to get around Downtown Vancouver. There is a very good Breakfast right next to the hotel. The rooms are clean and they make an effort to clean the rooms everyday when you're gone. You get everything you expect from a 3 star hotel. The staff is also very friendly. Would recommend if you are on a budget for a small trip to Downtown Vancouver

The hotel has a great location downtown, on the main street, so you can walk everywhere downtown. The hotel is not the newest or the fanciest, but it serves the purpose. At the moment, some renovations are going on but it didn't affect our stay (maybe because we were there on the weekend?) Even if it is on one of the main streets (our room was at the back) it was really quiet during the night.

Nice location very close to Stanley park and vancouver downtown area which we were mostly there for. Rooms were spacious had separate rooms for the 2 twin beds. Small couch and small desk area. Mini fridge included. Halls were beautiful made of marble looking material. A little vintage vibes in the halls which were fun and the rooms felt up to modern standards
