The location is great, and the unit was comfortable, well appointed, well-maintained, and aesthetically pleasing, and surprisingly quiet given the location. Comfortable bed, unit was easy to access and it was spacious.

The shower head was quite low and water pressure was weak. We were on the second floor and noticed that when people come out to smoke they do so in the area that is directly in line with the balcony - if we had the balcony door open, we could smell tobacco. Having the smoking zone further away from the building would solve the issue.

Easy access via doorcode, great room with small bathroom but with a very well equipped kitchen with coffee, tea maker incl tea and coffee, oven, microwave pots psns, cutlery. It gas a big tv with Roku and options to log in to your Netflix, Disney etc account. Amazing comfy bed with 6 pillows so there is always one that has the right thickness to it. Davie sreet is very close, this has many restaurants, grocery store and some shops. There are buses there but also in Burrard street 5 min walk away. Appreciated the luggage storage lockers and the chats with staff via the Sonder app.

The windows and door to balcony were thin and not very soundproof but they did put earplugs in the room. It does quiet down a bit at night so I was still able to get a good night.

Comfortable and spacious apartment. The kitchen was very well-equipped.

Impossible to organise car parking for only part of your stay (we were booked to stay for four nights but only needed a car parking space for the first night). We contacted the help.centre to see if they could help and their response was "look at the website", even though we'd explained that the website was the problem!

The lobby was clean and welcoming. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Very nice kithchen in our studio. Although no hosts were present, they were in contact via messaging any time if needed. Extra amenities were easily accessible. There were lockers for luggage storage and a laundry room as well. All very clean. The location was 5 min to Kitsalano and only 30 min from the airport. The property was easily accessible and was located on a pretty, tree-lined front street. Paid parking was easy and located in a garage behind/under the hotel, accessed by back alley.

We had a view of the back alley, which was extremely urban, noisy, smelly, and complete with screaming homeless folks. Ear plugs were provided, and we had no trouble sleeping. Although we didn't feel unsafe walking Davie neighborhood, it was not a picturesque place to be.

First off the location was easy to get to, we were walking distance from the city center, the communication by the Sonder The Sunset team before we arrived and during our stay was excellent. The accommodation was great, clean bright and plenty of space, there were 3 of us and it had ample room, it was spotlessly clean. Having our own kitchen was a plus with Sonder supplying fresh towels and essentials (coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, tea towels, dish cloths etc.). The bathroom was clean, we would have liked a more powerful shower, but it was good enough and did the job. Even the laundry room was well maintained and cheap to use only 2 CAD dollars for a wash and 2 CAD for the dryer. There was a bed in the main bedroom and the pull out bed in the living area both were comfortable. I slept on the pull out and it was the most comfortable pull out bed I've ever slept in! There was plenty of storage space for our cloths, in the bedroom and in the hall way closet and shelving outside the bathroom. The team emails the check in details and entry code a few days before you arrive and there is staff there during the day to assist. We also got a phone number for out of hours, which we never had to use. Would definitely recommend Sonder The Sunset, Vancouver.

everything was excellent - no negatives

A lovely, comfortable apartment with a great location. I do recommend paying for parking though because the back alley where you could leave your car does look a bit sketchy. Still safe enough for us to walk through it and not worry about our safety. The front of the hotel brings you in a very nice street without any safety concerns.

It wasn't clearly explained during the booking how do I need to pay for the parking, assuming I will pay for it on the spot I almost didn't pay for it. Luckily I saw a link in the email. It would be better if you could pay for the parking during the booking process or it would be explained to you that you need to pay for it beforehand and how.

I loved this place. The location was perfect. Close to everything but not in a noisy area. We walked down the hill to take a boat to Granville Island, it was so close . Really fun. The pull out couch was so comfortable. I was shocked how comfortable it was. There were three of us and they had three chairs. Attention to detail. Everything inside the unit and the lobby was spotless. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a few meals. Oh and the view was stunning. It was Christmas and we could see all the balconies, buildings and cranes decorated.

The only thing that wasn’t perfect was the bathtub. The jets looked dirty.

Clean and comfortable apartment, good heating system and hot water pressure. Roomy with lots of wardrobe/storage space. We did not use the cooktop or the microwave but it had everything that we wanted and needed for a short stay. Would be happy to stay there again.

When we arrived, the buttons on the keypad to enter the doorcode were sticking. Fortunately, there was someone at the reception desk at the time who let us in and provided us with a key-fob to use instead. The reception desk is not attended all the time but contact can be made by telephone or Whatsapp.

I knew before we arrived that I needed to get a pass to access the car park, so I parked in the loading bay out the front and went into reception. I was checked in and issued the door keys, which also work on the carpark gates. From reading previous reviews, I knew the underground parking garage had a 90 degree turn to get into it. I was driving a Jeep Compass, and although tight, I was able to successful enter and exit the parking garage – however, from the amount of visible paint ‘scrappage’ on the walls, it was evident others had not been able to. The higher level outside parking garage had larger spaces, but both levels were secure. We had a very large open plan room combining lounge, TV, desk, dining table and full kitchen. There was a patio door from the lounge area. The bedroom was very spacious with a large and comfortable bed, plenty of storage including bed-side tables. There was a balcony from the bedroom, which had 2 chairs on. The bathroom had plenty of space and towels. We had a bath with a shower over and the sink was within the bathroom. The laundry room had 2 washing machines and 2 dryers. Both were $2 per cycle and were very spacious. I only actually needed to run one wash cycle and one dry cycle. Reception were able to change a $10 note for coins. The hotel was still enforcing Covid-19 restrictions, and it was mandatory to wear a face mask in the lobby, elevator and communal areas like the laundry room. Also Covid-19 related, the breakfast policy had been changed. As we had full itineraries, we couldn’t wait for an undetermined time to collect a hot breakfast. We completed and handed in the breakfast form the day before, then collected the bag at the requested time the following morning. I can’t remember everything but the cold choices included bagel, croissant, yogurt, butter, jam, peanut butter, an apple or orange and bottles of fruit juice choices. While this wasn’t ideal, we didn’t go hungry !

The breakfast situation could be better, but we understand and support the decision made by the hotel to maintain Covid-19 restrictions in order to keep people safe. This would not put us off from staying her again on a return trip.

Spacious, quiet room. Good location. Roku tv. Smelled good in lobby.

Charging for early checkin. That cheapens your hotel. Charge what you need upfront, but don’t nickel and dime line items. Shower curtain had a brown stain on it—blood or?!! Otherwise place was clean. Difficulty getting into parking garage—having to call a foreign country for help because keypad wasn’t working. Staff who eventually came out to help was great—friendly, efficient, and professional. Lacked a personal touch—outsourcing to a foreign country for needs that come up.
