The location is nice

The room was not clean, there were hairs at the bathroom. Room facing the outdoor restaurant, it was loud at night. The quality of the room does not match what I paid for

The location on Granville Island was awesome. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I loved sitting outside at Dockside Restaurant in the evening with drinks and the awesome view of the harbour. Our room was quiet, comfortable and well supplied with clean towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion etc. We loved the proximity to the Granville Markets, Aqua buses and the Vancouver Fish Company Restaurant & Bar - 7 mins walk away. We walked across the bridge from Granville Island to the city waterfront ( Canada Place). It is a lovely walk on a nice day. We had a late flight so had a late checkout on our last day and then storage of our bags for the day while we explored.

The hotel was great - just an issue at a couple of breakfasts. Staff at breakfast in the breakfast restaurant kept forgetting to bring part of our order plus our coffee and tea- even with 2-3 reminders. They then wanted to charge us for the coffee/tea we didn't receive and expected a generous tip.

breakfast was very good, but not included in the price. No problem as included breakfasts are rarely any good Our reservation in a downtown apartment suite was cancelled a few days before our arrival, so we were lucky to book two rooms at Grandville Island Hotel on such short notice. The price was higher than at the place we originally booked, but this was well compensated by a much better location, and the quality of the service.

Given our situation, the only thing that could have been better would be a slightly lower price. But we are not complaining about this.

The hotel is on the far east side of Granville Island, and our room faced a small grassy hill overlooking the water. The room was immaculate, and I loved the fact that the refrigerator door was glass - so easy to se if you forgot something. ;). I was concerned at first with our room being closest to the elevator, but the room is very well insulated. We actually had to open the window to get a little fresh air and cool down the room, but people walking outside was the most of the noise all weekend. The restaurant downstairs seems very swanky, but we stopped in after a full day of shopping for a happy hour cocktail and it was delicious. Every staff member was wonderful the entire time - very gracious and helpful. Great location to explore all Granville has to offer!

Parking is a bit of a pinch - we always got parking but that was a little lucky on our part. Be aware if you go you may not be able to park in their lot - I assume it gets even worse during the summer tourist season.

Location on Granville Island creates a unique visit opportunity for Central Vancouver. Hotel is located right on the water and the rooms are a good size with lots of added perks. Easy access to downtown, Stanley Park , and the Science Centre is available by regular water taxi service from the island for a small fee and is a fun way to see the city from the water. There are lots of restaurants and shops right on the island and all are in walking distance from the front doors of the hotel.

No facilities at the hotel like a pool or hot tub.

The location was ideal for enjoying Granville Island by walking. The harbour ferries took us downtown. We had our pup with us and the lovely parks and waterfront locatiion were great for his walks. The shower and bathroom were awesome. I really enjoyed the health facilities, the sauna and hot tub were very relaxing. I like the more smaller style of these facilities because it wasn't crowded with people. The bed was super comfortable and spacious. The amenities in the hotel were very clean. We ate dinner at the restaurant and it was really exceptiional.

Next time we would request a non adjoining room because there was a little noise from the door. Our pup was sensitive to that.

Location right on Granville Island was excellent. Room was clean. The staff brought up a microwave for us since there wasn’t one in the room.

A little pricey for the amenities. We would have liked to have them provide coffee in the lobby as well as in the room. The Sauna did not stay hot enough to enjoy it unfortunately. It would have been nice to be able to enjoy the outside dining tables when the restaurant was open but the outside not being used (just to enjoy the view, play games, etc)

Rooms a little tired

We were so pleasantly surprised by the Granville Island Hotel! We weren't too sure what to expect - we had neve been to Vancouver before and didn't know what Granville was like. We were charmed immediately! The hotel lobby is gorgeous, the staff were excellent, and our room was cozy, clean, and ready 4 hours ahead of schedule. The restaurant downstairs is exceptional and so easily accessible. We were able to walk down to the Granville Island Market for breakfast every morning, which was absolutely lovely. We would love to come back again!

The room was beautiful and clean. The staff were lovely. Of course the location on Granville Island is wonderful.

I found that both the lobby, especially by the front desk, and all of their soaps and lotions in the room were intensely scented. If you are at all sensitive to strong scents that linger I would not recommend staying here. Also the first night I could hear the fellow in the room next door snoring like crazy. I heard nothing the next night, and there was no other room noise, so I suspect he just wasn't incredibly loud snorer.
