We came for a wedding at the Museum of Human Rights. So the hotel was perfect for location. We always enjoy having a continental breakfast provided, so we don’t have to eat out first thing in the morning. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and had what we needed. The staff were friendly and helpful. Being walking distance to the Forks was great😄
A little noisy area, unable to keep the window open at night, which we prefer to do. Likely not an area I would wander around in the evening, but fine for being out during the day.

Nice and pleasant hotel. We walked everywhere. There is an outdoor music venue a couple of doors down. We didnt mind as the music was good and it ended by 11pm, but something to note if you need it quiet earlier than that. Breakfast was the standard stuff that you would find at any hot hotel breakfast. We used the laundry and that was cheap and easy.
There is no pool. The gym was pretty much non existent. Two treadmills, one didnt work and the other kept overheating and switching off. Stair climber and bike also. Nothing else and very small space that you can barely do a burpee in (you dont want to because the floor is carpet) There is no local grocery store, so you will need to take transit or a cab to get to one.

Humphry Inn & Suites isn’t flashy — but it delivers where it counts. A great location, helpful staff, and practical amenities make it a solid choice for VIA Rail travellers. Not perfect, but decent for a short stay in downtown Winnipeg.
One thing I didn’t like about the hotel check in: the front desk photocopied both my credit card and passport. Given that everything was already pre-authorised, this felt unnecessary.

Brianna was the first person who I engaged with, and it was her wonderful support following being in a train crash, which confirmed for me this was the correct choice to have made. Being welcomed by Randy at 5 am in the morning, after long trains delays, made the start of my stay wonderful. He is so kind and gracious. The rest of the team from reception to housekeeping were simply wonderful and gave great knowledge of the local area and places to visit. Clean, tidy, and comfortable rooms, facilities, and a breakfast for every dietary requirement. This is a perfect place to stay when in Winnipeg.
The sauna wasn't working during my stay, but this couldn't be helped.

- Staff are really nice - Rooms look nicer in person then in the photos - Very quiet and safe hotel in the middle of downtown - There are nice cafes on the street out front of the hotel - The location is great if you need to be in DT Winnipeg. - Free breakfest - Heat/AC works well - Parking onsite - There is a great yoga studio a block away called Project Yoga. I would stay at this hotel again just so I can go there easily.
- I wish the gym had more updated equipment and the pool was in use

Courtesy of the front desk ladies., we arrived early two provinces and waited 2 hours for a room, first one available
We waited 1.5 hours for a table, and was told no reservations, when every white person was accepted. We are first Nation. From bc. Were not. The Fish at Earl's was bad, within minutes, I got extremely sick, vomiting all night.. But my daughter and granddaughter enjoyed the lobster tail and steak. My other granddaughter enjoyed the bugga boo ribs. The waitress was amazing. Because I had no credit card on me , I had to pay $750 extra. For the room, total 956$, I have not received the money back.

We've been using the Humphrey for over a decade as we live in a rural area 3 hours North of Winnipeg. Our priority is central location and security of our car with parking. We always find the staff and condition of our room excellent.
I think its disappointing that the pool was never restored. When we first began using the Humphrey back in 2015, it was one of the main reasons we would book our stay there.

Room was great. Spacious room with nice bed. Simple breakfast with eggs and sausages, slightly below average coffee.
Room can be renovated, sink has cracks in it and bathroom fan didn't work. We just slept in the room one night so didn't affect us much. Windows were facing Main street with all the traffic noise started at 6 am. It was impossible to sleep after 6 am so better soundproofed windows would definitely help the case.

The bkfst food and eating area were very good. Comfortable seating area.
When we booked, there was a charge card authorization posted on my account for over double the cost of our booking and it was from Hampton suites. This was confusing and very discerning for me. Seriously I spent hours on the phone trying to determine what had happened. Due to a range of circumstance I could not get an answer. The short net problem is that your hotel still shows a credit card debit entry for Hampton suites which is not correct. Fix it.

Easy walk to VIA Winnipeg station and the downtown area. Nearby bus stops to get to and from the airport cheap and easily. Handy laundry facilities and secure bag storage area. Staff at front desk are friendly but seem a little unsure of themselves. Nice dove amenities provided in bathroom. Comfy bed. Lots of power plugs plus good coffee machine and fridge available in room.
Only lamps for lighting in main section of the room, it would be so much easier and better looking with just an overhead light. I was told I could pay for my stay on a different card upon checkout but overnight they slid a receipt under my door that the stay had already been charged to my original card. Shower is very hot even at medium setting. There is road works out the front of the hotel so taxis and ubers get a bit confused about whether to still meet at the front or in the car park at the back.
