The staff were lovely and very kind

Our bathroom showed leaked all over the floor. Had to put a towel on the floor all the time as my husband slipped in the middle of the night on our first night, which is how we found out it was leaking . The ceiling in the shower showed the room above has the same problem . We just did not want to have to move room , when it was obvious, this was a wide spread problem . The room was fine but had seen better days. The swimming pool and gym need some care and attention, I couldn’t shower as the show was so calcified it didn’t work. The pool was well worn

Great stay! The room was huge - bigger than a lot of condos, well appointed, and clean! Very handy to have a restaurant on site, and we ate there frequently as the food was good, staff were great, and it was so handy.

When I checked out, I found that my package included breakfast, which I did not know - unfortunately I had been paying for breakfast at the restaurant. I wish I had been informed of this upon check-in. The parking situation at this hotel is tricky. We chose the valet service as I am a senior and not able to walk as far as was necessary looking for parking, however, the valet service is expensive and it can take a long time to get your car delivered. Definitely give yourself lots of time to get your car. I know the valet was doing his best, and we appreciated his assistance.

room was quite spacious , bed was comfortable, nice shower, breakfast was very good .

we did not appreciate the no housekeeping service . This is supposed to be a 5 star property and with the higher status and price, one would expect that housekeeping daily would be a given provided service.. We also didn't appreciate being charged 75.00 ancillary ( security ) per day for incidentals that may or may not happen , then the hotel says it will be reimbursed 3 -4 days after our stay . that's extremely not a normal way of conducting business. Parking at the property was disappinting as parking was not included in the hotel stay . it was not a covered parade or secured area.and it was located more than a block away in a pothole filled gravel empty lot ( not secured )The hotel charges 25.00 per day on top of room charge just to park.

Perfect location. Within walking distance of the waterfront, many restaurants, and entertainment. The room was spacious and the beds were very comfy. Staff was very helpful and friendly. I would stay here again.

I would suggest are room on the back side of the hotel and higher up next time. The street traffic was quite loud.

The harbor view king suite was beautiful, we loved the set up of the room. It was very clean and the valet service was good.

When we came back to our room around 11pm the stairs were filled with people smoking different substances swearing loudly. We had to walk around them two large groups of people right at the door. I think it would have been nice if the hotel had asked them to move to the side of the building or at least the side of the entry way.

location was great for walking to tourist areas such as the waterfront and Citadel , friendly staff

the pull out couch in the lovely corner suite with a view did need refreshing

Great location. Valet parking service was very quick and convenient. Great check-in/check out process by the reception.

The blurry glass wall of the bathroom. It was not too convenient for a family with a child sharing the same room. A/C was a bit noisy.

The hotel and the room was very clean. Pleasant front desk staff. Nice products in the shower and really nice rain shower head with very roomy size shower. Very comfortable bed. Nice view of water! We loved the location - it was close to everything which was ideal.

The A/C in the building was not working therefore the room was very warm for our entire stay. We only found this out when we checked out but were happy with the adjustment in rate we received. Also the curtains don't provide full room darkness so if you like early wake up's with the sun shining through the room, you will be happy!

Everything. The staff were probably better than any hotel I have been too. The location is so perfect, 1 block from the waterfront.

Restaurant is not great

The contemporary decor I found to be beautiful both upon entering the hotal and throughout its hallways and breakfast/bar area The suite overlooking the Halifax waterfront was delightful. It was contemporary and the walk-in shower, larger than expected, was fabulous. I loved that the couch was a sectional with a chaise lounge. The hot breakfast although self-serve was very good with lots of food choices with the quality of a brunch and coffee was served by a server.

Although the rest of this contemporary suite was in immaculate condition, the floor space betwen the sections of the ocouch should have been vacuumed and, although the sectional itself was very comfortable, there was a short black diagonal streak on the back of the chaise lounge section which looked like it had been there awile. I did not like the parking situation because it was not attached to the hotel but was located in an insecure open parking lot kitty corner from the hotel for an extra $25 a night.
