We were in town for a show at the Drake (Cardinal Black) and it was convenient to stay there as well. Crash pad was perfect for two people. Our second floor room was fairly quiet considering there was another show going on later.

Would’ve like ice machine in both areas of the hotel instead of having to maneuver to the other side of the hotel.

The attention to detail oin the room was very much appreciated. We loved the robes and the bathroom, the bed was fantastic, I loved the color scheme, the room was a great size and I love the neighbourhood Staff were accessible and friendly We miss the Drake!

We weren't sure about the yellow lamp on the desk that had no cable, or the off-kilter flower on the top shelf. Also a place to hang clothes would be good. Welcome note got my name wrong and was super generic which feels neither cool nor welcoming - but the experience after that was fabulous

Very hip and cool place, with a nice rooftop bar and a restaurant. The Crash Pad room was small but comfortable, which is all I needed it to be. Location is great if you want to be in the arts district.

The restaurant turns into a club at night, and it is loud til late if you aren’t the clubbing kind. Also - and this isn’t the hotel’s fault, of course - if you are counting on the Queen St tram to get you downtown, be sure to check beforehand to see if road construction is going to alter the route!

The hotel has a great vibe. When we arrived, there was a drag lunch taking place in the cafe between the two main buildings of the hotel. The staff were super helpful, moved us to make sure we wouldn't be disturbed by noise (without us needing to ask). The room was quaint, with lots of amenities. Would absolutely visit again.

The Drake is fun and funky - a younger staff and clientele but we certainly don't feel out of place as mid-40 somerhings. The rooms are very comfortable, immaculate, have nice modern amenities, very comfortable beds, high quality linens, modern bathrooms, and very accessible. Lots of thoughtful details like many hooks, full-length mirrors, small bar fridge, Google chromecast on the TV, etc. The rooms aren't huge but they make excellent use of the space. The staff are overwhelmingly pleasant and helpful, and there is fantastic food, coffee and cocktails available at the restaurant and cafe in the hotel. We like the Parkdale neighborhood, close to great restaurants and bars on Ossington and walking distance to the ever changing shops and restaurants on Queen west. This was a weekday stay and the hotel was quieter than it usually is on weekends. It wouldn't be my first pick for a business trip if I had work to do at the hotel, but it's ideal for a leisurely escape to the city. I wouldn't pay rack rate, but it's good value at Booking.com prices.

We were expecting a good sized room based on the square footage, however about 1/3 of that space is a wide hallway leading to the main room, which was itself pretty small - not helped visually by the funky but very dark wallpaper. The window wasn't very big and provided limited natural light and view of tiny internal courtyard surrounded by other windows. There's no in-room coffee maker (however I got the best latte I've ever had at the cafe downstairs).

I loved the artsy-ness of it all, the bedbug in the room was absolutely adorable; and the bed (from the sheets to pillows) was wonderful. The gardens were beautiful, and the hospitality was above expectations, so kind and friendly!

The fridge was a little poor (not very cold) and there wasn’t coffee within the room.

The 3rd floor quiet was definitely worth the $25 upgrade. Julia at the Front desk was THE BEST front desk / Reception personnel I have ever encountered. he is a huge asset to this hotel. MVP !!!

The lighting in the bathroom was not bright enough. We were never able to enjoy our complimentary drink tickets at the lobby bar, say for an after dinner drink, as it was closed.

Really unique and comfortable.

The late night staff working at the desk in the original building was pretty unhelpful and rude. She was on her phone and wouldn’t look up to help multiple people.

The hotel itself is beautiful but it’s the staff and events that really make this place stand out. From check-in to check out the staff were all amazing. They helped us navigate the city and provided excellent recommendations for local places to visit.

No complaints here, everything was awesome!

The hotel was beautiful (I’m an interior designer), so loved the location, and the staff was the best. Great recommendations, and so caring! Special mention to Victoria who took great care of us!
