Charlotte Rose Inn – Where Comfort Meets Island Charm We had a wonderful stay at the Charlotte Rose Inn during our visit to Prince Edward Island in 2025, and it truly made our trip memorable. Location: Perfectly situated, the Inn is just a 5-minute walk to Queen Street, Victoria Park’s scenic boardwalk, and the Beaconsfield Historic House. The waterfront is also an easy 15-minute stroll away. The city center is filled with restaurants, cafés, and bars offering a wide range of dining choices — from casual bites to fine dining — all within walking distance. Room: Our room was a comfortable size, with an impressively spacious bathroom. The air-conditioning was strong and much appreciated during the unusually hot summer. We also loved the practical touches — plenty of plug points with USB sockets, a quality steam iron, and thoughtful amenities. Food & Beverage: Breakfast was outstanding — plentiful, varied, and of superb quality. The host bakes fresh pastries daily, each day offering something new and delicious. The common area is stocked 24/7 with coffee, tea, milk, water, and even chocolates, which felt like such a generous touch. Service: The hospitality here is genuine and warm. As there’s no elevator, our host personally carried our heavy luggage to our first-floor room — a gesture we truly appreciated. Laundry service is available in-house for just CAD 10 per load, and ours was done the same day. Aesthetic: The front garden is simply beautiful, adding to the charm and welcoming feel of the place.

Areas for Improvement: The mattress was a little too soft for our backs, and the room felt somewhat crowded with furniture and decorative pillows, which made the space feel less open.

This property is second to none. It is decorated beautifully with charm & character! Room was ample in size and our bed comfortable. We enjoyed the afternoon refreshments and their gourmet breakfast. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Location is within walking distance to downtown shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quintessential Charlottetown experience! 5 star stay for sure!!!

The Inn was well located to walk to major sites in the City and for driving in/out of town. The Inn is well kept with cute period decoration. The bed was comfortable and everything we needed was provided. The host and staff were friendly and kind, and very accommodating. We weren’t able to stay for breakfast the days of our stay, and Randy was always trying to provide snacks instead. We appreciated this.

The breakfast was absolutely amazing! The location is fabulous, an easy walk to everything in Charlottetown. The staff is just delightful, very thoughtful and caring. The sweet touches for our anniversary stay were very appreciated (photo included in my review)🩷

The only real complaint is that the bed is quite squeaky and the mini fridge is a bit noisy for the room we were in. I sleep with earplugs so not a big deal for me but if you are sound sensitive these are considerations.

Staff super friendly and breakfast was over the top! Our room was all comfortable and location was great for walking about town. Everything was available for our comfort like list of sights to see, restaurant and their menu's, even umbrellas if need be. Our private outdoor porch area was lovely and relaxing away from the heat of the day. Stay, you will not be disappointed.

I have stayed at several inns here in Charlottetown, and this one is exceptional and hands down my favourite. Everything from the interior decor, to amenities, to service was great. The highlight is absolutely the incredible breakfast that is prepared by Randy every morning. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay!

Cleanliness of carpets/bathrobe/bath mat could use a wee bit more improvement. The decor in my room was beautiful and while I appreciate the aesthetic, the amount of decorative pillows on the bed were just a little much.

Charlotte's Rose Inn made a wonderful trip to PEI exceptional. The staff could not be kinder or more thoughtful, going out of their way to help us plan day trips, give recommendations, and accommodate our travel schedule (a particular shoutout to Randy here). Every single thing is done with care, including the truly phenomenal breakfast, which is an experience of its own. We loved our stay here and unreservedly recommend the Inn for future travelers in search of a singular place to stay on PEI.

They’ve thought of all the little touches and they go out of their way to help you find what you need. Breakfasts are fabulous. Staff are fabulous. The house is fabulous. It feels like Aunt Josephine’s house and getting to stay in the spare room. (From Anne of Green Gables). Amazing. The Pilot Room(?) just two blocks up the street was really good. There is a post office just a couple blocks up the street on Queen street, as well as banks and cute shops.

Can’t be helped but there are some steep narrow stairs to navigate if you have a large suitcase (but was pre-warned about that)
