The home is classic Victorian. Helen the proprietor is an Irish-Canadian with the "gift of gab". She will regale you at breakfast with her stories, which are very entertaining. The breakfast is excellent, and cooked to order.

We were on the third floor, and the July weather was very hot - 85 degrees F. We could feel the heat rising as we climbed the stairs, and it felt like a furnace when we got to our room. Fortunately, we had a portable room AC, but it could not really keep up with the heat, making it tough to sleep. Of course it's not the innkeeper's fault that it was hot, but with climate change I suggest that you book a lower floor room if visiting in the summer months.

Everything. The location was in the downtown area. The breakfasts were excellent. Helen was a wonderful and helpful host. Very friendly and welcoming. Meeting travellers for breakfast every morning was a great way to start the day. My room was very clean and the bed comfortable.

Breakfast was very good. Lots of choices with coffee, variety of juices, cereals, eggs and/or Pancakes and French Toast. There was lots of extras like a small fridge in room with access to water and ice as well as access to a mini kitchen with a sink, microwave, coffeemaker and kettle with herbal teas as well as cookies.

The only thing that could have been better is having air conditioning in the room as it was a bit stuffy and warm. Also, it would have been nice to have a hair dryer in the room as well. Otherwise everything was absolutely great.

Decorated so beautifully for the season, so many nice touches around the house.

Bed and floors were so squeaky we felt as though we couldn’t move around a lot. Wished we had a fridge in our room.

This historic house is full of charm and character. very well located and maintained. Many great encounters around the breakfast table. The owners were great to chat with, they were very welcoming.

Great location, easy to walk into the main district and he waterfront. Private parking available. Fridge, coffee and tea always available.

Air conditioning a little noisy, but potentially to be expected when retrofitted to a heritage building.

No lift. Had to lug bags up two floor. To be expected in an old building.

Helen was a superb host who included all guests. This meant we talked to people from all parts of the world. A very genuine experience for us.

The bed was a little uncomfortable. But the facilities in the room were fantastic.

The Inn was beautiful, staff friendly and helpful. The location was perfect.

Nothing, everything was great

Great breakfast. Friendly staff. Arranged very early morning transportation to airport and followed up to insure taxi arrived. Location is very convenient, many shops, sites and restaurants within short walking distance.

Bed mattress and pillows could use updating.
