June 2025

I stayed in a suite at Hotel Monville for a Conference at Palais des congrès de Montréal (the convention center). The center was about a 4-minute walk away, so this was a very good location with nice views from the upper floors. The room was impeccable, with thoughtful touches such as blackout shades, yoga mats, rainfall shower head, bath robes, and a Nespresso machine. The bed was comfortable and wifi worked well. The hotel also has a bar and a rooftop lounge area. When I went out exploring, I found that the location was amazing for sightseeing and felt very safe everywhere I went as a solo female traveler. On the first day, I walked towards Quartier des Spectacles, spent about 3 or 4 hours walking and exploring, and had supper in Time Out Market in Centre Eaton. On the second day, I walked down to the Quay and had supper and an evening cruise with Croisières AML (highly recommend!). On the third day, I went to Chinatown for lunch and shopping, and in the evening to Old Montreal and enjoyed a fantastic meal and Notre Dame Basilica Aura show. On the last day, I went further into the city and explored the shopping and eating. I think I only needed 2 ubers and that was because I was pressed for time for my next engagement, and I absolutely could have walked. Buses and rental bikes are also readily available.

The little console table/desk area was a little cramped, but I was able to set up and work there. I wish there had been a bathtub because it would have been nice to soak after walking so much, but the shower was nice.

First of all location and accommodations! It was my second experience. I used to stay here back in 2023 with my wife.

Unfortunately we had a a serious delay with check in at this time. It should be at 4PM but we used to wait until 5.15PM. Also, somehow they didn’t provide us before we came a plates with silverware which crucial for us. We had to ask them after we got our rooms. And the plates disappeared on the last night before we departed.

Location, great food the breakfast which was included in the rate was very good

Black in the corridors and bedrooms makes them feel apperceive. We had a deluxe suite would have liked more coat hooks and more towels . We did request more but at this price and a suite we expect 2 towels and a hand towel each. We had the room serviced 1 of the 5 days and would have liked it hoovering when this was done. With the snow small stones stick to boots and get transferred into the room. It was also dusty on sockets and around the bed base. The restaurant is closed at lunch it would have been nice to have coffee available and maybe light snacks especially if you working in the hotel.

The location is second to none! The hotel never disappoints when it comes to food options at the restaurant in the lobby be it breakfast or the dinners that we tried. Bed was comfortable. And I loved the water closet-divided bathroom. This hotel is my go to whenever I visit Montreal! They also made some special accomodations for my birthday.

I unfortunately got really sick halfway through my stay, and I was surprised and somewhat disappointed to learn that room service was no longer a thing at the hotel but I must say the included breakfast was amazing each day of our stay. And although it was available by request, it was also surprising that there was no iron in the room.

The location was great. Walking distance from the convention center and from shopping and restaurants area. Very comfortable and spacious room. Amazing view from the room, due to the huge windows. Good blinds, that allowed total darkness for sleeping.

some staff were not very nice nor helpful. Checking in took a long time in the queue. Breakfast was very expensive and very limited.

Room was great, bright and great view we had. Bed is comfortable and the AC works great. Room cleaning service happens every day and the workers are always friendly when we meet them.

Room was a little bit tight for two people to move around. And some of the staffs are not that good at English and remember to say numbers one by one. The parking is kind of a problem. They have the parking area but needed staff to move the car around when you need. The parking valid needs to be improve that people may get the wrong car of yours.

Location is excellent; very downtown but not loud at all, we were high up so we didn’t hear anything much at all. Bed was very comfortable and the rainfall shower was nice.

Room was much smaller than the photos indicated. The scent in the lobby is overpowering and unneeded. It absolutely will stop me from returning; with a scent allergy that causes migraines I would highly avoid if you also suffer from similar. TV casting and wifi was intermittently working.

Great location: very close to subway stations and approximately equal short walking distance to old city and downtown (shopping area). Professional staff. Comfortable bed. In-room Nespresso coffee maker. Several good coffee shops nearby.

Fridge in the room is on a smaller side. The face washing basin is in the entrance hallway, basically (outside of the bathroom).

Very nice stay. The staff was excellent, they are extremely nice and understanding. The valet parking was also a plus. There’s a nice bar in the lobby, the mocktail was excellent but it is pretty pricey. Nonetheless I loved my stay here everything was clean in the room, the view from our bedroom was beautiful and the location was perfect. It’s right in the heart of downtown.

The only downside was that the tv wasn’t working :(.

Can’t really complain about anything. I really enjoyed my stay. A bit pricy… but keep in mind that Montreal isn’t cheap. Room was a bit small… but had anything I needed and a cool design.

Soundproofing was a bit disappointing for a 4 star. You have to check in by yourself on an IPad, which is a bit unsettling, but staff is also available to help at anytime in the lobby.
