The location was brilliant. The room was spacious well equipped and very comfortable. Easy walking distance from the main train station.

The restaurant is closed permanently as is the bar. This was not to inconvenient as the hotel is so central. The hotel also took a 400 dollars safety deposit. This was taken straight away from my account, given their was no restaurant or bar this seemed excessive. I was informed on check out that it could take up to 7 days to be refunded.

Great facilities for a smaller sized hotel that I was not expecting. Small gym and a small outdoor pool which was heated (we were in that pool with light snow coming down and we were warm in the water). Breakfast that is additional was simple but provided a good variety and despite a smaller size, there were many options. Had breakfast 4/5 days we were there and didn’t get bored of it. We had a standard king bed room and it was beautiful and well equipped. Nespresso machine and complimentary pods made waking up and having coffee in the room wonderful. Super clean rooms. English and French languages were never a problem with any of the staff (my partner is a francophone and I’m an anglophone). Service was always good and check in and out were a breeze. Location is very good near the arts district and the shopping district all in walking distance. Highly highly recommend. Only negative experience was the check out staff was not that friendly. We had checked out early to do some last minute sightseeing and asked for recommendations, and the lady said to “just walk around, you can’t go wrong” in a dismissive tone. Otherwise, staff were great and friendly and accommodating. Will definitely stay there again!

We had an exceptional stay at the St-Martin Hotel Centre-Ville Hotel Particulier in Montreal! From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable, with friendly staff ready to assist with anything we needed. We stayed in the luxury room, and it truly lived up to its name—spacious, elegantly decorated, and equipped with all the modern amenities for a comfortable stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless with high-end toiletries. The location is perfect, right in the heart of downtown, making it easy to explore the city. We also appreciated the quiet atmosphere of the hotel despite its central location. Overall, a fantastic experience, and we would definitely return!

The air conditioning unit was quite noisy. Turned it off and all was good but I assume this could be a problem during hot seasons.

The room was immaculate and very adaptable for working from the hotel room during the day and dining at night. The staff were courteous and remembered you from day to day with only minimal interaction. Everyone staff member we met were accommodating and very helpful. I had left my cellphone in my car by accident and I remembered about an hour later our valet knowing I must want it at some point brought it to the desk so when I came down in a panic he simply smiled and said "I figured you would want this" and promptly produced my phone from the valet desk. The breakfast was reasonably price for the quality and variety. As someone who travels abroad the "European Breakfast" was aptly named and very much enjoyed.

Nothing really. Maybe the pool towels at the front desk with the pool on another floor was a little awkward. But I understand the need for inventory control on items like that. So not even a dislike just a "getting used to"

The room was really nice, comfortable, with touches you won't find in modern hotels, like robes, a very nice bathroom with space and shelves to put your stuff, a coffee machine with Nespresso pods - like just normal stuff that most hotels are cutting these days, but these little things make a big difference. It still has little touches like a concierge/bellhop, ice machine and actual real people checking you in, no QR codes!

The "gym" is a very small room with a bit of equipment, it does the trick though if you are there alone. The hotel was aggressively hot, everywhere. Even turning off the thermostat in our room, the temperature rose to 25-26 degrees. We had to use the air conditioning to sleep comfortably.

Great location near a lot of shops and restaurants. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was spacious. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom had a very nice old style bath tub.

The hotel is a bit old (though well kept), which can be visible for some stuff: stained carpets, pieces of the bathtub that are a bit loose, old TVs without Chromecast or streaming apps. The swimming pool is very small (mostly for a quick dip) and it's on the second floor, so it doesn't seem to get much sun. There are no blackout curtains in the rooms (or at least the one I booked). Ultimately, I enjoyed my stay but it was a bit overpriced for what the hotel has to offer.

The location of this hotel is great. 5 Mins walk to Apple on St. Catherine. We have been coming to this hotel for almost 5 years now. My wife's family stays in Terrebone so whenever we feel like visiting Montreal Downtown we chose St-Martin. The rooms with fireplace in them are elegant and exactly what we like. Also they frequent discounts for Genius Level 3 members on booking.com which is great.

The check-in and check-out time in Quebec is becoming annoying. Official time to check in is 4pm now and check out is 11am which is absurd because you technically do not even get to stay for 24hrs which is what one hopes to get when they pay for a night in a hotel anywhere in the world. Although this hotel sometimes lets you check-in early.

I really enjoyed the location and the room was super comfortable. The staff were also very professional and knowledgeable. The room was beautiful and the insonorisation was beyond my expectations, the hotel being core downtown. The valet parking was handy too.

The room was really hot when I arrived. There's no room service and no restaurant for lunch/dinner. The pool was ok but it looks better in the picture. There are no towels at the pool, you have to bring your own from the room so I had to go back upstairs. I also couldn't connect to Netflix so that was a bit annoying.

The location was great, right across from metro station and walkable to many things. The room was good sized and the bathroom was amazing. The staff were all incredibly friendly.

The value just wasn’t there. The cost of the room plus $40/ day for parking was high. There’s a parking garage next door for $25 / day. The breakfast was $23+- per day per person for buffet style. You can pay that for a sit down breakfast all around you. You pay for water past the initial 2 bottles. The bed wasn’t comfortable and the pillows were flat. Do not book this because of the pool. It’s tiny and in between 2 buildings with no sun. I think this hotel was perfectly suitable but wouldn’t book again due to cost to services ratio. Not the hotels fault but there was a ton of construction. Absolute chaos.

Pool was small , but good enough for me . When kids are there , it is even smaller- so that s an issue . Pool closed a little earlier than stated. The parking worked for us - self park -- but it was a little tricky getting to the lot . Great restaurants in the vicinity ! We also went biking that was great - along the canal !! Loved the cafes on the sidewalks too. And - Montreal is quite a clean city -- unlike Philly where we live. Also walked on one of the back streets under construction- saw a few homeless there - but no one bothered me. They are a lot more aggressive here in Philly ! Beautiful city -- great mix of new and old buildings. Very impressed with the city in general !!!

We really don t have any complaints ... It s a great city !!! Your city makes Philadelphia look like its run by amateurs ! I m telling people - to get a feel of Europe , but not have to travel a distance - do Montreal (and Q-City ) !! But there was lots of construction - that closed some of the streets- or blocked them -- but we see that here in Philly also .
