I had a large suite, very clean and quiet. good quality bed. Small kitchen with Some Kitchenette, oven, stove, fridge. Filter Coffee machine with coffee exceed my expectation. Location Was great, in heart of Downtown , 20 minutes walk to old town. Staff was excellent, they give me the room in morning, around 9 . Also they assisted me to find Places and plans I had.

Breakfast, If You like american breakfast It was very good. Otherwise better to pass, small packed Jam, honey, cheese, limited pastries( just two) . From Second Morning I made filter Coffee in room and bought some items in my fridge to eat in my Suite.

Great location for transportation - next to Peel, also next to a lot of restaurants. A little far from any proper groceries stores, but we're still talking about 10-15 minutes walk so it's not too bad. The bed was comfortable, the room was very spacious and the staff was incredibly kind and helpful. Quite handy with a mini kitchen when staying for over a week.

The stove was a bit annoying, each "round" were skewed and leaning one way or another. There was a lot of noise from a fan in the main living area, not optimal for anyone using the sofa bed, mostly as it started and stopped regurlarly. The main doors were a bit annoying, you need to wait for one set to close before the second opens, which can be bad when larger groups are coming and holding them for each other. Might be a winter-only thing. All in all, fairly minors points. I would definitely book there again in the future if I need a similar lodging.

The hotel has an excellent location, close to McGill and a very short walk to the art museum. The hotel room was spacious, with a kitchenette, and an EXCELLENT mattress. Breakfast is not included, but it is located in a well appointed restaurant and the buffet is extensive with excellent service.

Parking is limited, meaning you could arrive and there would be no parking space for your vehicle. The bathroom was recently re-done but a bit small. The front desk staff was well intentioned and clearly trying but seemed frazzled, got distracted and lacked follow through. These are minor considerations, and I would stay here again.

Cantlie suites was a great classic hotel for our family of four. The beds were very comfortable and the extra space of the suite was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was great for shopping on Rue Sainte Catherine in the downtown area.

We also had the problem of the shower water filling the bathtub and not going down the open drain like others have mentioned. The elevators are small when hauling luggage. A high pitched metallic tinny noise kept me awake a bit when the HVAC was blowing. I waited too long to book and hotel prices skyrocketed so I overpaid but I would have overpaid at any hotel in Montreal so the lesson is don’t wait till the last moment.

The location was ideal, with easy access to various corner stores, banks, and other essential services. Upon arrival, the valet staff were courteous, and the luggage carrier service was exceptional.

Upon arrival at the front desk, one of the staff members appeared less approachable. When inquiring about underground parking, she informed us that it was at full capacity and suggested we park on the street. Unfortunately, she responded with a considerable amount of attitude and seemed dismissive when we asked if parking would be included. However, we later spoke with another staff member responsible for parking, who informed us that there was available space in the underground lot and assured us he would handle the matter.

What a beautiful property! From the moment I entered the reception I felt welcome. The desk receptionists were so friendly, professional and efficient. My room was a spacious suite of comfort and elegance, complete with a hidden kitchenette which was a surprise. The property offers clean lines and modern design with a vibrant touch of red. Housekeeping did an excellent job of presenting a clean, comfortable room. A leather sofa in the living area and a fluffy well-made king-sized bed with lots of pillows were so inviting after a long day of fun in the city. In the bathroom were two bathrobes, lots of towels and bath towels...overall a warm welcoming ambiance with a touch of class.

Everything was great! The only thing worth mentioning is that the bathtub shampoo/conditioner dispensers could have been better placed on the far wall opposite the shower fixtures (away from the body) instead of in the middle of the near wall. I kept banging my shoulder in the shower which was not a good experience.

Location is great. Room was a nice size and clean. Bed was okay, of course I stayed on the sofa-bed. Daughter and niece loved their beds and pillows. Breakfast was very good. Staff at breakfast was very nice and helpful.

Most of the staff was nice, the front desk gentleman was very polite. The young lady at the front desk had a bit of attitude but looked overwhelmed and took it out on us from the looks of it. Still giving her the benefit of doubt, she should learn to be more professional. We understood the hotel was chaotic with the water overflow and firetrucks but we just wanted to get out of the way by dropping off our things at the hotels baggage hold. Instead received attitude from the young woman.

Good value, and discounts offered for friends or family of McGill students, which is great. The room (1 King size and a sofa) was very large with a decent kitchen and amenities, and the location is unbeatable for Montreal. Overall it was a fantastic room and I would book it again.

Some of the doors wouldn't close properly like the bathroom (you kind of had to force it closed), and the same door had evidence of painted over locks and signs of an older building, but nothing really bad. You can order a taxi to the airport (YUL) from the hotel, but it will cost 50 CAD which for a 10-15 drive is quite expensive. I would recommend a different service. And this is just per my experience, but the pillows on the bed do collapse rather easily and flat pillows aren't super comfortable to sleep on.

Booked last minute, got a great deal for a superb room. Comfy, queen beds with luxurious bedding. Great view to the river and outside a great view to Mount Royal. Large bathroom. Very friendly front desk and loved the valet parking for a very good price, given we were on a budget. Got great tips for Montreal bagel lunch and location great as it was right around up the street from the Art museum. Easy to hop on a bus and then metro to get anywhere in Montreal.

TV was digital and did not work. Had to be manually reprogrammed from the staff. It worked fine in the end but this took 30 minutes to complete. Everything else was great.

- the solid building - quiet - well run - secured front doors at night - classy breakfast buffet - laundry facilities - housekeeping

- filthy windows (#1202) - running toilet - slight leak in the cold water faucet in the kitchenette - inefficient check-in where one person was handling all the check-ins (4pm) while the two others at the desk were doing something else. It’s understandable that they were doing some other tasks but on the other hand, all hands should be on deck at peak check-in times, eye contact or an acknowledgement of the line that was present would’ve helped
