Location is very central, it's a stone throw along the shopping belt with plenty of shopping malls and eateries. The room were pretty spacious for couple. The breakfast were superb. It has a good blend of chinese cuisines and western dishes too. A very unqiue station is the omelette making station in the form of make shift Volkwagen van. The breakfast location is comfortably located at the entrance of the hotel with very high ceiling good natural lighting. The breakfast areas it's really the heart of the activities every morning. Staff are generally very friendly and very prompt to keep your empty cutlery. Sameer Khan was so nice to offer to make Masala Tea for both my wife and myself for consecutive days. Very nice Masala Tea indeed. Thank you Sameer!

The hotel wifi does not allow google, gmail, youtube, facebook and whatsapp. So you need to use www.bing.com strictly for internet serving. For navigation, instead of google map, you need to use Baidu map or other chinese map application. Use xiao hong shu (小红书) for your eateries, sightseeing recommendation.

Gotten 2 rooms for 5 adults. Greeted by friendly staff and check in was pretty fast. Spacious and clean rooms. Great location with walkable distance to metro or even bus stop. Had a great 6 nights stay in this hotel. Special mention to 礼宾部经理 - 毛永良 Jerry. Helpful and attentive manager who helped us with car booking arrangement to Disneyland, also ensuring we were picked up by the driver and returned back to the hotel. Friendly guy too. So do look for him if you require any help during your stay here. Will be back again next time!

I was super happy by this choice: 1. Excellent location near East Nanjing Metro (line 2) with 4 exits/entrances you can leverage, you can either take this line straight from PVG airport or take Maglev train and ride 1 stop on green line until the hotel. Through the east nanjing road you can stroll all the way to the Bund and see majority of the attractions 2. Big variety and tasty breakfast choices for foreigners 3. Big room, comfy beds with pillows. Room was cleaned everyday, no smell, we stayed in 1918 was rather quite not noisy at times you could hear people walking but it was not disturbing 4. Check in was pleasant and fast with English speaking lady named Ruby. Overall kind personnel. But most importantly there is an Indian English speaking personal on the ground floor restaurant l, he kindly helped us around when needed and even prepared ginger tea to try during our breakfast since he saw I was coughing 5. Do not count much on the WiFi as at least for me it was not working at all however this is at the country level nothing to do with the hotel. My own eSIM was a life saver. This hotel would be definitely my choice if I come back to Shanghai

Everything was perfect

Hotel is well located and walkable to major attractions such as The Bund, Nanjing Pedestrian Street and Yuyuan Garden (20mins). Room is clean and comfortable. Service staff are friendly and helpful. We were received by Mia who is efficient, friendly and professional. We look forward to staying with Holiday Inn again.

I highly recommend this hotel! The check-in process was fast and smooth, and the staff spoke excellent English, which made everything even easier. If you can, choose a room with a city view — it’s absolutely worth it. The location is great, just a short walk from Nanjing Road, making it convenient for shopping and sightseeing. The breakfast buffet was another highlight, with halal options available. Additionally, the concierge was very helpful in arranging a pick-up car from the hotel, which made our travel plans much more convenient. Overall, an excellent experience!

One thing to note is that the hotel doesn’t offer connected rooms, which would have been ideal for our family. However, the staff was very accommodating and arranged rooms on the same floor for us, which worked out well.

It’s a great location request high floor the problem not at the hotel fault is that the hotel is in middle off busy area that I requested high floor. But still not high enough because you can’t get privacy leaving the curtain open because theys a flat opposite. I I requested high high floor. But apart from that. Great location. Tips. Make sure you book the right date and can ‘t change mid after heavy it willl cost a night rate. To change. Which I think the hotel should waive it. Cause we did end up came back and stay .

Just rules regarding date changes of your booking, no think the hotel should consider changing the rule make it more flexible.

Great location, within a couple of minutes walk to Nanjing road, the friendly & helpful staff, and a shout out to Jerry who helped us with getting the airport taxi! I liked the laundry facilities they had on the 5th floor with washing machines and dryers, this made it much easier, as I found it quite challenging to find laundramats in China.

The bar fridge in the room was not cold, even at max setting. I found this to be the case at quite a few hotels in China. Apparently, the fridge is used to keep food "fresh", but not cold at 3 to 5 C that one is accustomed to.

The location was outstanding the room was clear even the stuff were friendly they did best to make the guests satisfied but they don’t speak English I do understand the situation at the same you need to encourage your team to learn attending classes sessions that will be reflected on the gusts this in in my point of view it’s recommend to stay in the hotel no one is perfect

The stuff need more improvement to communicate with gust in English since the hotel is international unfortunately the as per the hotel policy AC in winter in heater mood it’s means the rooms are not cold at the same time the windows are small noisy out side that was big challenge to be honest resied the complaint to reception the manger contacted me to solve the issue he had to change the room in lower floor the manger Arik was helpful he did his best to solve the issue .. accept that cos he was helpful cooperative the hotel need improvement in general 7/10
