I really enjoyed my stay at Conrad Shanghai. The location was super convenient—close to plenty of restaurants and malls, and easy to get to. Our room was super spacious, and I appreciated that the lighting wasn’t too warm—it gave the space a clean, modern feel. The service and staff were excellent, too. Diana at the front desk was incredibly kind and helpful, and she even offered us complimentary breakfast. One of the bellboys (I didn’t catch his name, unfortunately) went above and beyond by helping us get in touch with our driver when he was late. He stayed in contact with the driver while we waited, which was a huge help. Overall, thoughtful service and a really pleasant experience!

Concierge was really friendly, staff in general are also friendly and nice. The location of the hotel is great, very convenient to the nearby metro station and there's a shopping mall beside us too. When we had a problem draining out water from the bathtub, we called and the technician came by to solve the problem quickly.

The room is a bit small as compared to what we expect from the pictures. Some maintenance can be made to the room as we could see some old water stain marks on the ceiling of the room but it does not affect us much.

From the moment we arrived, the service we received at the hotel was beyond expectations — and a huge part of that was thanks to Ella and Leo. Ella was incredibly warm, attentive, and professional. She greeted us with the kindest smile and made sure we were comfortable every step of the way. Her attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond made us feel so welcomed and cared for. Whether it was offering helpful local tips, assisting with reservations, or simply checking in to ensure everything was perfect — she did it all with genuine grace and hospitality. And then there’s Leo — what a gem! Friendly, proactive, and always ready to help. He handled every request with efficiency and a cheerful attitude that truly brightened our day. Leo was the kind of staff member who remembers the little things, making us feel not just like guests, but like valued friends. His service was truly world-class. It’s rare to find staff who make such a strong and positive impression, but Ella and Leo absolutely stood out. Their exceptional service and warm personalities elevated our entire stay. They are the heart and soul of this hotel, and we’re so grateful to have met them. If you’re staying here, you’ll be in the best hands with Ella and Leo. Location excellent on Nanjing road pedestrian street and near several metro lines. Room view second to none - lovely floor to ceiling window with great view over Shanghai skyline; Room much bigger than normal even for the best hotels. This and view make it an excellent choice.

Reception experience awful - picked this hotel because I wanted to be sure they would speak English but no one did. Arrived early but so do a lot of people so cannot get into room early and queue at reception very long and tiring after a long flight. Lift system horrible and time consuming - have to witch half way up. Impersonal. Not really worth the premium price - just as good hotels nearby on the street at just over half the price.

I stayed at this hotel alone and was very pleased! The view from the room was stunning—perfect for enjoying a morning coffee while taking in the panorama that energizes you for the day. The bed was incredibly comfortable, I slept like a log, and check-in and check-out were quick and hassle-free. The breakfast was top-notch! I especially enjoyed the Indian breakfast with its spicy flavors, which was a real discovery for me. There are also classic options, so you definitely won’t go hungry. The hotel’s location is a gem for tourists, especially if you love hiking—there are plenty of interesting routes, landmarks, and cozy cafes nearby. A special thanks to Yebby and Grio-Aria for their professionalism and attention to detail. They made my stay truly comfortable: always available, they suggested the best spots for walks and catered to all my requests. Thanks, guys, for such a warm welcome!

The only thing that bothered me was the high humidity in the room. It felt a bit uncomfortable at times, especially after a shower when I needed to dry my things quickly.

The hotel was clean and the staff was very good in terms of guiding. We were having problem in translating Chinese because most of the staff does not know english. Finally we meet conrad relationship manager her name was tatiana and she was from Russia. She guided us so well that i felt that next time also whenever i will visit china i will stay in conrad shanghai because of her guidance and always there of us whenever we need anything. Instead of tell us all she also upgraded our room in higher floor. my ratings for this hotel is 5/5. Relationship officer my rating would be 10/10.

First Impression: Upon arrival, the check-in process was a bit unconventional. Instead of the usual lobby setup, the initial area was designated for luggage keeping. We were directed to go up a level for a special check-in experience, which immediately gave a sense of exclusivity and grandeur. The atmosphere felt luxurious and well-organized, setting a positive tone for the stay. Check-In Experience: We were fortunate to have a wonderful check-in experience thanks to the friendly and accommodating receptionist, Rick. Although we had booked a room with a Bund view, we were pleasantly upgraded to an Executive King Room on a higher floor, complete with a stunning Bund view. Additionally, the inclusion of the international buffet breakfast was a delightful bonus that we truly appreciated. Rick also went above and beyond by making special arrangements for our kids, which made our stay even more comfortable and enjoyable. His hospitality was exceptional and added a personal touch to our experience. The Room: The room was spacious, elegantly designed, and well-appointed. The hand soap had a pleasant, fragrant scent that added a subtle touch of luxury. The bed featured a Euro Top mattress, offering a medium-firm feel that was comfortable for a good night's sleep. A cozy couch placed in front of the bed provided a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the view before settling in for the night. The View: The room's view was undoubtedly the highlight of our stay. From day to night, the panoramic view of the Bund and the Lujiazui skyline, including the iconic Oriental Pearl Tower, was breathtaking. Watching the city lights come alive in the evening was a mesmerizing experience that we will never forget. Facilities: The room was equipped with all the necessary amenities, including an ironing board, a bathtub, and a well-designed layout that separated the washroom and shower areas.

Additional Notes on Location: The hotel is perfectly situated on Nanjing Road, offering easy access to trendy stores and various food options right at your doorstep. However, for a wider selection of souvenirs and dining, head to the other side of Nanjing Road near the Waitan (the Bund). This area has more diverse options for gifts and meals, making it worth the short walk. The location is ideal for exploring both shopping and iconic landmarks like the Bund and Lujiazui skyline.

Breakfast need to be improved

Location, views, facilities, size of rooms and staff are excellent - Just by Nanjing Road and People's Park and 10 / 15 min walk from Bund

Air con is centrally controlled like many China / mainland hotels which made it very hot and hard to sleep at at night (if you prefer cooler temps at night). However, staff were very helpful in trying to resolve offering fans. Diana and Quain looked after detail and request superbly and caringly
