I know the hotel is an old building, when I get into room, it surprised me that the room was very well maintained and clean. The front desk person was friendly, and feel warm. The location is right at the center of Shanghai, Nanjin road walking street is in front of hotel door, food courts, street foods, restaurants are near by, metro station is about 5 min walk, department stores are along the Nanjin road. this hotel is about 15 min. walk to the river front- the place most tourists pay their visit in Shanghai

there are two elevators, one elevator can not reach all the way up to the top, maybe the structure limited.

I really enjoyed my stay. It met all my needs with a great location, a comfortable bed, and excellent value for money. Everything was just as I hoped it would be.

Although there was no breakfast provided, it didn’t bother me since there are plenty of restaurants nearby.

Obvously a very stylish hotel in the old days. A bit tired but comfotable with everything you need for an affordable stay i the heart of Shanghai. Helpful front desk. Forget about the internet in China though...... Google and lots of stuff doesn't work as they are blocked. Get lots of cash out of an ATM at the airport as Visa etc doesn't work. most places. Get the Maglev train from the airport to Long Yang.... walk t Line 2 an catch a Metro to some where like Red Square an catch a cab to your hotel if hyou dont want to walk 10-15 mins. Ot just catch the metro from the airport......... it takes an hour 20 mins. and is 8 Yuan.

Extremely near shopping area at nanjing Road. It's just basically downstairs. Alot of food which are nice.

The bed very hard, no toothbrush, staff is rude, and the room is too hot.

Comfortable clean room. Asked for a nice view and we really got one. Staff was helpful and friendly! Cleaning included free water bottles. Check in and -out was easy. The room gave us everything we needed. Location was perfect, on the nanjing road, close to the view of the bund. Super good hotel for the price we paid for!

I think there was no breakfast service (?), but we really didn’t mind that either because of the great location! We crabbed breakfast from nanjing road every morning for a very cheap price!

The hotel is just in the middle of the Nanjing Dong Lu walking street. But is about 15mnt walks to the bund and 5mnts walks to the metro train. Plenty of restaurants and shopping complex along the street. Easy to find food but pricey. Hip and hop city bus is Just opposite of the hotel. We book a family suite. It can fix up to 5 person if u dont mind a little crowded. Room is clean and big. There is a bath tub. The kid rearly likes it especially in cold day.

Except of the distance to the bund. There is nothing much to complain.

Very good location directly with a the tourist sightseeing bus stop and next to the shopping streets.

The windows on the building deserve replacement. They are very old they capability of insulating the noise from the outside is very minimal. And because there is a square where people are singing and having fun during the night hours, it was noisy inside the room as well. Another small disadvantage, the hotel is providing only one bottle of water per person each day. The hotel doesn't provide any other source of drinkable water (water fountain or more water bottles).

What a fabulous hotel in a fabulous city! As a solo woman traveller for this trip, location was really important and this hotel was perfect! And for a cost effective hotel the city view from my window made me feel so special. Steps from Nanjing Rd shops, a few mins walk to the metro and maybe 10 min it took me (not walking fast) to get to the spectacular view of the Bund. Given that the shopping walk is so alive at night (shops close at 10 but food is still available after), being so close meant I could confidently experience this. Room size was more than fine and two people could have had space for suitcases and to still move around. The staff also spoke some english, had I needed assistance. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thankyou Seventh Heaven Hotel.

There was nothing not to like about this hotel. I believe I have reasonably high standards and this room was clean and comfortable and had character in its decor. If someone was really fussy - as I've found with the large showers in old buildings they're very hard to clean and this shower was no different (around the very edging wasn't perfect), but it's how the shower is made and has difficult to get to parts. It is a great shower and huge though. The bed in my room was also quite firm - which I love but may not suit others so much. Especially given that so few people in Shanghai seem to speak any English at all, this hotel was so easy and the perfect choice to enjoy a stay in Shanghai!

Absolute best budget location in the heart of Nanjing Rd E, high floor hotel, very quiet, a/c perfect, dated decor but not worn out, loads hot water, good lift with swipe security required to access hotel floors, reception is on Flr 7, rooms upwards to Flr18. Take Metro from PVG airport to People’s Square, easy flat walk to hotel Check in is from 2pm, they will securely store your luggage for free until then if rooms are not available earlier

Great location in beautiful, classic art deco style building. Room was huge, perhaps I got a free upgrade? Good views from room and lots of restaurants and cafes nearby, close to subway. Room amenities worked well. Comfortable bed - hard to find in China. Awesome views over the walking street and modern buildings over the river. Staff spoke excellent English and made checking in a breeze.

Room was a bit tired and old, could do with some refurbishment and the windows need cleaning. Internet unreliable. Rather expensive, but seems to be the case for this city.
