A lovely space to cushion the arrival into a new country and to get over jet lag - we stayed in the executive suite, which was only a little bigger than an ordinary room but had lovely views over the street to people watch. Tiny bathroom, but everything you need in the room itself - comfy bed, reading lights, wardrobe, kettle etc. The hotel is on a quiet street of low-rise buildings and pet shops, with a fancy coffee shop down one end and an easy walk to People's Park subway station. It's nice to be out of the high rise bustle of the city, but a little distance to restaurants and shops, so takes a while to get a real sense of the area and find places to eat - turn down the side street next to the hotel (not in the direction of the subway) to find a great breakfast cafe, walk a few streets along (near Park Hotel) to find a whole street of restaurants. If you walk in the wrong direction (towards the overpass) it can feel like a bit of a wasteland! The hotel itself was comfy and clean, and the staff were helpful in getting us a taxi to the station. Not a 24 hour reception so make sure you let them know what time you're arriving - we had a bit of a nervous moment when we arrived and it was dark and closed up! But someone appeared very quickly and it was all sorted. Easy walk to Nanjing Road, right round the corner from the Shanghai History museum. A great area once you get to know it!

On the outside it doesn’t look like much, doesn’t seem inviting, but once I got into the room , amazing! Modern decor, simple, everything fairly new, I’m sure it’s fairly small the space but( at least my room had a perfect / very efficient use of the space, which made it feel bigger . The bed and pillows like on cloud 9. Bathroom great , with a , is that a Japanese toile? Like heated, washing… the works. Everything clean. Both receptionists I encountered spoke perfect English , and were very helpful. I was added on the WeChat when I checked in, just in case I need help with anything. Location is quite good , I think can walk 15 min from People’s Square subway station. About 45 min drive from the airport

Not necessarily a criticism just for awareness. It’s a small building, reception / check in is not technically 24/7 , that’s more kind of ‘it can be arranged when needed’. If you know your flight/ train coming in late contact the property and inform them of your arrival time. My flight was coming late but was also delayed, I kept in contact with the receptionist and got instructions.

We had an amazing stay at the hotel. The staff is super communicative and available for any request you would need. BIG PLUS : the location is exceptional and super well connected to everything. Comfort wise, the bed was perfect and the room was very clean and delivers everything you need for a city trip in Shanghai. Unbeatable price and highly recommended!

The property was great location. Close to a major Metro stop. Staff friendly and helpful for a traveller who could only speak English. Would recommend as great price for city centre location.

The wifi was not the best and the reception in my room was poor for a data own sim, was better when actives my International roam sim. If it had a strong wifi internet would have saved me time and money.

We absolutely loved everything from the location, the divine bedding, the electric sun roof, and the easy access to every shop you need. This was the closest boutique hotel we could find to people's square, and we could paint the town red from our location.

Nothing, we enjoyed everything. Maybe some coffee in the room would have been the cherry on top😁

The hotel is at a good location to visit all the cool neighbourhoods of Shanghai. Close to People's Square subway station. Good beds, good shower.

Would have been nice if it would have had breakfast or a bar. You really only have the room.

The location is great, 10 minutes walking distance from a main metro station, served by 3 lines, comprised the one that connects directly with the pudong airport. The manager at the desk is very welcoming and also contacted via messanger before our arrival was very prompt to give us all the indications we needed to get to the hotel.

Location was very good! The streets around the inn were peaceful so it wasn’t noisy. There were lots of little shops next to the inn. The staff (including the little kitten🐱) was really friendly and accommodating.

WiFi in the room was quite slow.

First, the main staff member was AMAZING. So nice, and kind and can speak English very well. We LOVE him. Room was quite nice for the price. The bathroom was clean, nice and the shower was great.
