Beautiful, spacious room and I loved the interior design. Rooftop restaurant was gorgeous with great views, lovely for breakfast. We also ate dinner one night and the food was fab.

The location of the hotel is at the top of a hill, takes about 10-15 mins to walk down into the centre of Poblado and a steep walk back up. Taxis are cheap but it’s definitely not close by and no other restaurants around at the top of the hill. Just a small frustration; we always left our towels hanging to avoid getting new ones and try and be more ‘eco’, just as the sign said. Yet everyday we had new towels!

I liked how clean and modern the room was. Also, the room was huge which was great!

There wasn't any locks on the room door besides the latch. The windows were single glazed so you can hear EVERYTHING! Which may not be the best as the hotel is opposite a highway. Also, due to the location it is very difficult to call taxi's via an app or hail in person. So give yourself extra time when going out.

I recently stayed at the 1616 Hotel Medellín for two days and one night, and it was an excellent experience. The room was beautifully designed, with great lighting and a functional layout. The highlight was the stunning view of El Poblado, especially at night, and my girlfriend loved the luxurious bathtub. The hotel’s location is unbeatable, within walking distance of nightlife spots and malls like Santafé Mall. It was convenient for exploring the vibrant culture of Medellín. Overall, it was well worth the price, and I plan to stay there again. Highly recommended!

Great stay at hotel 1616. Super comfortable, clean, great facilities, fantastic stuff. The location was very good, only a few minutes from great restaurants, shops, and entertainment. The room was very spacious, clean, the bed super comfortable. The breakfast was also good in an open roof terrace with great views of Medellin. The food and service at the restaurant was great.

There is not a single hook in the bathroom to hang anything, so you have to drope your clothes on the floor. Putting a couple of hooks will make this hotel even better.

The included breakfast had 4 options, and we tried all but one. You always had freshly sliced fruit to start. They were made fresh and perfectly adequate. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and juice are included as well. The service here was exceptional, and the staff was very helpful with my nearly 1 yr old baby and my fiance. The view from the terrace is great. If you're staying for 4 or more days you may wish for more variety but that's the only negative I can say. While bring at the eastern end of poblado, it's walking distance to provenza and other things. I must give a special shout out to the staff, from the front desk to the cleaners, and the wait staff at breakfast. Even the cooks briefly entertained my son. If I had to come back to Medellin this hotel would be at the top of my list.

I don't love the rocks around the bathtub and if you choose a mountain view room the road noise is somewhat significant. I would improve the shower door situation, as it didn't like staying closed. Sometimes the hot water would fluctuate or seemingly run out. I don't like the design of the sliding doors for the closet and the bathroom. Again minor complaints.

Amazing gorgeous chic hotel!!! Very well located and only 15 minutes walk down the hill to Parque Lleras. Felt very welcomed from the moment we arrived. Me and my partner were greeted by a very fiendly, professional and courteous staff. Gave us a free welcome beer and water as we were checked in. We had a gorgeous modern big comfortable room with a small.balcony with a view of Medellín. Beautiful tub spa on the room surrounded by white white soft rocks on the floor. Very confortable king size bed, cold air conditioner which you can control the temp. Very nice walk in shower with rain showerhead. L'Occitane brand toiletries, shampoo, body wash and body lotion were a big plus and a very welcomed surprise and special touch! Delicious cook to order breakfasts at the rooftop open air lounge with a spectacular view of Medellín. Overall this gorgeous chic hotel EXCEEDED our expectations, is so beautiful, excellent price per night and our best deal in all our Colombian trip. Will definitely stay again at this hotel when back in Medellín! And we will as we fell in love with Medellin and their very friendly amazing people! Congratulations for having such a great hotel! HIGHLY recommended!

Nothing! It was perfect!!!

The room was very comfortable and clean. The staff was also exceedingly kind. The meals we had at the restaurant on the roof were all delicious and well prepared.

The elevator was tiny, and we found the lack of security surprising. You literally enter the elevator from the ground floor and proceed directly up to your floor; no codes, key, magnetic card, or staff interaction required. My final criticism was the length of time it took to get coffee with the otherwise outstanding breakfast in the morning. Both days we were there, our coffee literally arrived as we were almost finished with our meals.

The room was very clean, big, and comfortable. The shower was very spacious. The beds were very comfortable and everything worked as expected. The staff was very accommodating, they took good care of us, special thanks to Anthony, Juan Daniel, Samir, Alejandro and Lean. The breakfast was good and Gisel was very attentive to our dietary restrictions.

I could have preferred having a mirror outside the bathroom to do my make up while my husband was using the bathroom.

Overall a great hotel with modern rooms and stunning rooftop bar with views of Medellín, their food is incredible. Hotel security is great and they have wonderful 24 hour front desk and whats app service which was useful. We stayed in two types of rooms, a smaller basic room and a king superior room- both were nice but I would recommend the king superior rooms as they are larger with bigger beds, have betters views and have a great bathtub.

Overall the rooms are clean but I did notice some dirt from previous use in the bathtub, nothing major. Water in the showers and bath wasn’t very hot at all, it was more luke warm

Very nice staff, beautiful rooftop terrace. For breakfast there was a choice of three different dishes every morning, which is very nice considering the quantities that are usually thrown away at a breakfast buffet. I always tried different options and was never disappointed - on the contrary: the pancakes and a traditional Colombian dish were excellent!

When checking in we had to sign some kind of additional conditions which is a bit strange in my opinion. The terms included that we accept the noise from the street and will not require a different room as well as we are not allowed to bring additional people to our room. We guessed this is because of the prositution scene at the El Poblado district which we didn't consider when booking the hotel. The area seems safe but we always took an Uber after dinner because the hotel was up a hill and no one else was walking in the street in the evening.
