They booked my taxi from the airport and to the bus the next morning. It was New Years Eve, they accommodated me. I came in the taxi with the fireworks. It's in the middle of the city, so expecting quiet is a lot. I was tired enough to sleep through anything. They have darkening drapes, I wanted the window open to the fireworks and air. The fixtures are older, but everything works, even hot water shower. Tile floors, so yoga on the bed unless you bring a mat. Comfortable, clean, early breakfast, fresh eggs, good coffee, helpful staff. One taxi didn't come, but the staff managed a busy time with grace and got me to the bus on time. Good wifi.

I have food allergies, so have to be picky about what I eat. They seem pretty set in their menu choices. I was able to order two fried eggs, two corn tortillas, a piece of papaya and water melon, water and coffee. Fruit juice would be nice.

Staff is very kind, friendly and I felt appreciated. The breakfast is great and served with happy smiles. The restaurant for lunch and dinner is amazing. Great menu and professional chefs. Delicious! The beds are so so comfortable. White white and very soft covers. The neighborhood is excellent for proximity to airport bus, Fortuna bus, huge market, museums. The view of mountains to the north from the big windows is fascinating.

Cannot think of what I didn't like except to say that this is center city. Busy with shops and busses and people coming and going. This is what I enjoy for city visits

Breakfast is really good and served restaurant style with four menu choices. Later the restaurant and bar are open and the chef is amazing. The room is large. The bed SO SO comfortable and white clean. The lobby personnel are great to deal with and have helped me several times. (I extend my stay several times) Museums are within walking distance--Gold, Jade, National, Art. Taxis pass by constantly. Bus from Airport just two blocks away and hotel confirmation sends a walking map. Bus people are helpful. I meet very nice people in many endeavors in the restaurant--not just tourists or backpackers..

The streets and sidewalks are very busy and parkland is a couple blocks away. This is a shopping district. I love it, but feel I should mention that the activity is very 'city'.

I like that this place is reasonably priced, has breakfast included with the price, is walking distance to the bus station that goes to the airport, has many eating options within walking distance, and stores my luggage if I arrive too early or check out but still want to walk around the area. The rooms are clean, beds are comfy, and the breakfast is filling. This is my preferred place to stay when I'm flying out of the country.

If you get a room with a window, the street traffic could be a bit loud starting in the early morning hours but I'm not bothered by that. The light switches by the door and the bed were a little tricky to figure out at first but, after toggling them a few times, I was able to figure out how to turn them off.

The hotel is on a busy main road so felt safe as against many reviews that showcased this area as unsafe. Many tourist attractions like Gold Museum, National Theatre, National Park, National Museum are within 1-2 km of walking range so I did not have to hire a taxi. Breakfast was fresh and customized to my vegetarian needs.

Water was charged. At least one litre bottle per day should be complementary.

I was welcomed to Costa Rica by a driver arranged by the hotel, and from the very beginning, it was a great experience. Flor was at the front desk when I arrived. She and everyone else I met at the reception were speaking very good English, were professional, friendly and supportive. I enjoyed every breakfast and dinner I ate at the hotel restaurant - wonderful workers there and fresh and very tasty food. My room was large, comfortable, and clean. 🧡 I felt safe in the hotel and the whole neighborhood. It is minutes away (walking) from Central Market, beautiful parks, Central Avenue, museums, and bus stations. I plan to stay there on my next trip!🧡 THEIR COMMUNICATION IS EXCEPTIONAL! They answered my every message in less than 3 minutes! 🧡 Be sure to have earplugs with you everywhere you travel!

The room was very nice. It was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, tv with many channels incl English speaking. Bathroom was perfect with very hot water -first time in Costa Rica. The location is also good- it’s very central and although it’s on the main road which is quite noisy, my room had no window which blocked most of the noise. The staff were friendly and smiling. Wi-Fi work perfectly in my room. In fact, I regret that I’ve already booked another hotel for my return in San Jose because I would definitely like to stay here again.

It's a plain, no-friils hotel. You would hardly recognize it from the street. But everything works. The hot water is reliable. Arriving from the airport, it's great to have an elevator. The place is secure, and there was a safe in the room. The breakfast choices aren't fancy, but they're good. The staff is friendly, helpful, and efficient. The hotel is right around the corner from a long pedestrian mall that includes an excellent traditional market. We've stayed at Hotel Novo three times and have always had a good experience.

Comfortable stay for a single night with a good location just around the corner from the Tuasa bus terminal, with direct buses to airport. Very good breakfast for the price. Friendly man on reception!

I liked the location, just 2 min walking to the terminal of the airport bus. I also appreciated the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the facilities.
