Comfy room. Cozy hotel. Quiet

I had stayed there 2 days ago and paid by card. This time they said I had to pay $3 extra to pay by card. Also she charged me more than what Booking.com said was the total. I had been given an upgrade to my room by Booking.com but she took me to a smaller room. I had to argue again about room allocation. Not a great start. Different lady to the one who worked there 2 days ago😬

I liked the architecture of the hotel, the comfy bed and staff was very helpful. Breakfast was good, not too varied, but good. Price was good.

Some receptionists did not speak English or just a little bit, and the accommodation was a bit far from centre( certainly because of the price). I would not walk alone in this neighbourhood in the night. It was a little scary, but taxi's are really cheap in San Jose, so...

Perfect for spending the night after your flight before you head out of San Josè for your real CR trip. Comfortable beds, soft towels and sheets, good breakfast (scrambled eggs with rice and black beans and fried banana, very delicious especially with those coriander notes).

The rooms are a bit small, not a problem for us, just letting others know. Also, our room got a bit noisy in the morning because it was overlooking the street. Not a deal breaker, just letting you know.

Everything was perfect - friendly staff, nice and clean room, very comfortable bed, cozy terrace, good breakfast, fast Wi-Fi, good location to many bus terminals (for example 10 minutes by walking from Tica Bus), beautiful colonial design and pleasant common premises. You can use the kitchenette for preparing some food. We spent there 3 nights and we felt here safe and welcomed. 2 minutes from the hotel is mini super and fast food with "pollo frito". We would accommodate here again!

Sometimes you can hear you neighbours. Payments by card are not accepted (only cash - dollars or colones).

Breakfast was tasty, the location was good for getting to the airport, and the lounge areas inside were nice, Check in was easy as well, and the hotel feels secure and safe

The pictures make the rooms look bigger but they're super tiny. The beds aren't super comfy and the shower never got warm, even after running for 5 min. For a quick place to sleep before your flight the next day its not bad, but paying $40 for a room for 2 is steep compared to how much we paid for rooms at much nicer hotels.

This place is a little gem. So close to the Centre of San Jose which makes it a great location for exploring. The security was very good with 24 hour reception and the gate unlocked by them at all times. The shower was amazing, clean, plenty of room and hot water. Included coffee and tea were always available. I would definitely use and recommend this place to others.

Could do with a bar of soap and shampoo in the shower but at $70 for 2 nights more or less I wouldn't argue about that.

Room was cozy and comfy. Bathrooms are good and there's a great patio area to eat breakfast, which consists of eggs, maduros and gallo pinto with tea or coffee. Staff is readily available and the location is pretty close to the central and art markets, with a lot of good food spots nearby (Caracas burgers was a good treat within walking distance!)

the rooms are a little dated, but it's an older building so that is to be expected.

We searched for the hotel which is closed to the terminal buses. Not more than 10 min walk to the most important bus terminal. Breakfast provided which has been prepared earlier because of early check out. Not so far also to the centre of San Jose.

Everything is heard in the room. The wooden floor creaks and you feel like the whole building is moving when someone walk.

Nice place clean, comfortable, near bus stations, fast food eateries, and a good location to pick up a taxi going past the main road 40 seconds walk away. Staff were nice. Good choice of TV channels.

No option to pay by card (cash only!) which isn't really ideal. Cash only is obviously a tax dodge, but it's not convenient for guests! Get a card machine please. You couldn't just walk in through the gates, you had to ring a bell and wait for them to buzz you in. Same for going out. I understand the security, but it was such a pain. They don't give you a key to the front gate either. I had the downstairs room, and it was right next to the kitchen, hence you could hear staff and other guests talking late at night and early in the morning.
