Location was convenient for day trip pick-ups. Surrounding area had a park, grocery stores, bank and pharmacy. Area was walk-able but a little "warn". Buffet breakfast was excellent and restaurant had good selection, good food and was reasonably priced. Room was plenty big; best to have a room off the front of the hotel as the road could be noisy during the day. Bathroom was serviceable but small. Staff was friendly and very helpful

It seemed like there were only ever 2 servers in the restaurant... when large groups or peak hours occurred, service suffered and wait times for new drinks/orders, getting your bill, etc. suffered.

I had Junior Suite, Room 219, corner, for 4 nights. This hotel was great, I booked airport pickup from them in advance, pickup was there when i exited airport. about 20 min drive from airport to hotel. Check-in was quick, staff friendly. The pool looked nice, but i never used it. The room was great! lounge area, dinning area, 2 queen beds, TV, a safe, and large bathroom. Breakfast included. The TV only has one English channel, CNN travel channel. The food was good, breakfast was a bit lacking, they did have fresh fruit and fresh juice. I ordered twice from the restaurant, both times delivered to my room as i asked. Caesar salad with grilled chicken was very good, and grilled chicken with salad and fries meal, with ice cream (comes with chocolate sauce on side) was a good second meal. I used the tour agency that is under the hotel, around the corner to the right, willy tours, its nice that it is close. The hotel is very close (1 block) from the large park in San jose, and within 30 min walk of downtown san jose (central market, etc..) I walked to multiple museums, parks, downtown, restaurants, the hotel is in a good location, and has a door security guard at night. Grocery supermarket 1 block across the street. Overall this was a great hotel to stay at, quality and value for money, I would return again for sure.

There is not much i didnt like, but i am very critical so did notice some things: -The room floors are extremely slippery. They are some kind of wood or fake wood floor, but with socks or without socks (dry feet) you slide very easily on the floors. Probably ok if you wear shoes in the room. -The only thing missing from the perfect room was a mini fridge. -The ice machine was on the 3rd floor (i was on second), most hotels normally put one on each floor, but not a big deal, i dont mind a flight of stairs.

We stayed in a suite, lots of room, big bed. The pool area is very quiet and relaxing. Helpful staff. Good breakfast. Faster access to airport than in town. Excellent restaurant for dinner. Easy access to downtown, staff can get you a taxi in no time.

Rooms facing the road are noisy, but with ear plugs ningun problema. Not much to see or do in the immediate area, but Parque Sabana makes for a nice stroll. Having to be individually served hot food at breakfast, rather than having a self-serve option, really slows things down, something to bear in mind if you are in a hurry.

Room super clean. Good, quiet air conditioning. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Staff super friendly and helpful. Delicious and plentiful breakfast with breads, gallo pinto, eggs, lots of fruit, cheese, tomatoes, yogurt. Coffee and tea available at all times. Easy trip from airport. Nice restaurant on site with good menu for dinner. No need to look elsewhere. Also great happy hour from 5pm-7pm at the bar. Outside tables available at restaurant by the pool.

Our room 215 faced the street and despite description that said the room had sound proofing, it was noisy. We heard street noise from cars/trucks very early 5am. So if you’re a light sleeper request inside room. Also the pool freezing, but maybe because of this time of year.

The staff were so friendly, attentive and helpful. it really made our stay all the more memorable. The hotel room itself was perfect for us - I had some online client appointments to do while we were staying, so the suite was the perfect layout for this Also the shower was exceptional - nice and powerful, the temperature was consistent and my partner is 6ft 5 - he had plenty of room between the shower head and his, which isn't common!

I'm splitting hairs here but the only thing I can think of is the traffic noise we could hear from our room. Our room was located on the outside so we were on the street. But again, that's if I was to be very picky

They provided free water. The room was comfortable and not noisy. The buffet breakfast was open quite late. They had happy hour drinks. Food was also good and prices reasonable for Costa Rica. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Supermarket (kmart) was only a short distant away.

The pillows were too high and hard. The happy hour drinks were not available on my second visit even though they were advertised in the room and in the lobby.

It was quite the value. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean, and the food was good. Special shout out to Raquel as she went beyond expectations to make it a very pleasant experience. With the location of the Hotel not in the heart of the city but within walking distance, I found it very nice to be able to walk to the heart of the city but to be able to come back and have the peaceful solitude when needed.

The lighting of the room. I found the central lighting of the room could have been better. It could be that the shades of the center light might be lighter, stronger light bulb wattage or placement of the center light might solve the issue.

Lovely hotel, lovely pool area and terrace, rooms good size and very clean, nice decor, staff in restaurant and bar friendly.

Rooms at front very noisy due to traffic on road. Breakfast could have been better, ie more choices of cereal, yogurt, pastries. Pastries and breads were very dry/stale and choice disappointing (although acknowledge traditional Costa Rica breakfast very different to Europe).

Decent location, being the start hotel for my tour, pool looked nice and the bar/restaurant was good (happy hour is great)

I found the value for money not so great based on my stay at another hotel in San Jose (better hotel, less cost). If your room is on the road side, you’ll definitely need the earplugs that were on our bedside tables, very noisy.
