Reasonably priced for San Jose. Friendly staff. Provided currency exchange. Provided recommendations for dinner. Great breakfast with eggs/omelets cooked to order. Delicious coffee, fruits, juices, and pastries. Very clean room with nice kitchen facilities. Great WIFI.

Parking. There were a few spots in front of the hotel. We arrived late in the evening with a full-size SUV and were directed to a very tight spot in the garage in which to park. Getting in/out of parking was a major challenge. However, parking in the garage felt very secure and we didn't have to worry about our car being damaged or broken into. Restaurants. There are very few reasonably priced restaurants available within walking distance. We did not feel comfortable walking far at night. Traffic. Navigating downtown San Jose, even during the day, is a major challenge, despite having experience driving in a large city in the US most of our lives.

An amazing breakfast which is more like a meal with eggs with no limitation with how many or how you want them: scrambled, omelet, or fry . It is accompanied with rice, roasted vegetables, plantain, french fried and other things. Toasts are available with no restriction just as coffee is. A fruit station with mangos, pineapples, water melons and apples are offered with no restriction. There is also a station with ham and cheese and an option of drinks such as orange, apple juice and yogurt. All this food can be degusted around the pool area outside. My room was immaculate and the lady came to change my bed sheets, made the bed and cleaned the bathroom, kitchen counter tops and moped everywhere. The hotel is kept very clean and furnitures and tables are desinfected on regular basis. The reception is always willing to help you with whatever. I didn't know how to use the stove so they came to show me how. This is my 6th time in the hotel and I love it.

This hotel was surprisingly delightful. I was traveling with my husband and two teenage daughters. I booked Hotel Cristina because there were suites with two bedrooms and one of the rooms had two twin beds. My daughters do not want to share a bed. I expected something basic, but Hotel Cristina exceeded my expectations. The architecture does a great job of bringing some outdoors and fresh air in while offering some protection from the weather. There was even a little courtyard within our suite, which allowed us to keep a window open without feeling vulnerable. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. The biggest surprise, though, was the breakfast! There were so many delicious prepared dishes that it was difficult to choose. There was even an omelet station. I had one of the best cappuccinos I've ever had, and it came out of a machine! There was regular brewed coffee as well, along with fresh juices. Even my picky eater was happy with the food.

The only thing that was slightly negative was that the pool wasn't heated. The nights had been cooler, so the pool was a bit chilly. We had been in the Guanacaste region previously where it was 100° and the pools felt like bathwater, so it was a bit of a disappointment, but we found plenty of other things to do in San Jose.

Good location ( easy access to supermarket, car rental and the big park), friendly staff, comfortable beds, big apartment, clean and very good breakfast.

Restricted time to use the swimming pool. (Hard to explain to a 4 year old that he cant go for swim before 10.00 or after 17.00) The style of the apartments could be modernized

Easy check in. Staff very nice. Room was big, with separate section for seating with comfy sofas and also kitchen area which had enough space/utensils to make what you need. Bed was very comfortable. Decent enough shower with enough hot water and toiletries. Good WiFi. Breakfast was varied and there's free coffee all day in reception too. Location was near the park, good respite from the busy city. Check out was at 1300 which was such a bonus, and you're able to stay by the pool area or in reception until you need to leave. Uber worked well to get to the airport. There is a decent restaurant for lunch and dinner attached to the hotel, which was very helpful - good food and lovely staff. All in all, given the price, would recommend.

Location was a little far from the main attractions (for me), but I knew this upon booking. Instructions for the TV would have been helpful.

Close to the center but away from all the busy rush of the city. We spent two nights as a family to visit San Jose before our flight back home. Our suite was simple but super clean. Very convenient parking; we left our car there and used Uber to move around. The place is calm and we felt very safe. Close to the Sabana park where we went for a short stroll and also walking distance to the supermarket. The breakfast is served in the garden and it is varied and delicious. The staff was very kind and helpful.

Suites Cristina offers very spacious and comfortable apartments. The staff were all very helpful and we felt relaxed there. A tasty breakfast was served next to the pool and offered many different options, hot and cold. Surprisingly, it turned out to be the only place we stayed (out of seven) on our Costa Rica holiday which provided a full breakfast buffet selection. We also ate dinner in the restaurant one evening (a good quality place open to the public as well) and this turned out to be a very good meal at a reasonable price. Overall a very pleasant experience.

The only thing we didn't particularly appreciate was the difficulty in finding the place! Even when we were 'guided' there by a local from the car hire company who lived nearby, he still had to get out and ask people in the street where it was. It would be useful to give more specific directions on the booking.com page.

The cozyness of the Superior Suit, the breakfast and the friendly staff. We also liked the neighbourhood in which the hotel is situated. It is very quiet, tranquil with little traffic.

Please change the towels, they were full of lint. Preferably 2 kitchen towels and a kitchen roll in the kitchen. We cooked most days and needed these. Preferably a small paper waste basket in the sleeping rooms and if possible a small blocnote with pencil. Every two days sweep the floors.

The staff was very nice also helpful. They gave us a courtesy early check in since we arrived at 830am. Breakfast was good. The apartment was big. 2 bed rooms 2 bathrooms which made our trip great. We would stay again because of the staff and how comfy the apartment is.

Unfortunately we were disappointed how rushed we felt breakfast. It didn't matter how early or late you ate. You're rushed. They clear everything so fast without notice. There's no coffee pot in the apartments. For us coffee drinkers that is something that was missed. No complimentary tea either. These little things make the biggest difference to alot of people. Lastly the self laundromat in the basement didn't work well. It's not clear which washer and dryer you're allowed to use. The dryer takes twice even three cycles.

We stayed here for 11 nights as we were relocating to Costa Rica. Initially booked this hotel because it accepted dogs. Quite honestly did not expect much from our stay, but we ended up really enjoying our time here. It was well located by Sabana Park with easy access to shops restaurants etc plus easy access to the main roads for our onward travel. We booked a 2 room apartment as we needed room to store the items we brought with us. It was pleasantly roomy and had a small basic kitchen, which was very helpful. The bed was comfortable and the air con a big plus! Breakfast was fabulous, with lots of choice. We didn't eat in the restaurant, but would if we stayed again. Without exception, the staff were charming, kind and helpful. The cleaners were excellent and really made a thorough job of cleaning our apartment every day. Another plus was the underground garage, which meant we could load up our car ready for travel in the morning and know it was safe. We would definitely stay here again.

There was nothing I didn't like.
