Beautiful garden & common areas. Walking distance to the park, restaurants, groceries & bus lines. Friendly owner & staff. Kids enjoyed ping pong, the garden turtles and video game time during a rain storm. Our family of four slept in the room with a double bed & bunk bed. Very secure & safe building and comfortable neighborhood.

Bathroom looked to be original to the older, mostly renovated property. Perfectly functional but with the usual Costa Rica quirks. No A/C in the room, but wasn't terribly uncomfortable with windows open and fan going. We were there beginning of December.

I love the garden. Flowers, birds, fish, turtles even a fleeting glimpse of a hedgehog. Hummingbirds! The villas open out onto the garden. Walking distance to my dentist, good restaurants, bank ATM, convenience stores. Short Uber to downtown, museums. Walk to huge Sabana Park with Museum of Costa Rican art. Staff, English-speaking, is very helpful, connected me with guides, solved problems with money, phones, etc. Security is great. Good safe neighborhood. Tiny fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, TV, wi-fi, pets. Wonderful common area with full kitchen.

Just finished my 3rd 2-week visit in two years. Going back in October. Obviously, I like everything.

I like the hospitality. Each staff at the reception over the time of my stay was very helpful. Also the manager gave the best room after my first night. All and all, the staff helped my stay a pleasant experience. Perhaps the best feature was being able to use the kitchen.

I had booked according to the pictures and the advertising view of the mango garden. That was very deceptive because once I got there I was re-routed 1 city block away stuffy, noisy, soft mattress and no view. The manager explained the next morning that because Booking.com doesn't allow more details for the host to describe their different options, it creates confusion for the guests who based their choices on the best pictures they see and in this instance the name of the place. This feedback I hope will reach the people concerned at Booking.com. Thank you.

The staff was really nice and the location was awesome. The room was spacious, more than expected and almost like an apartment. It even had a proper kitchen with a fair amount of utensils.

The hotel has two separate buildings. One has all the amenities (common area, nice garden, etc.) the other ones only rooms and is about a block away. Since I stayed in the separated building my room was really nice but I had to walk about a block to enjoy the common areas. The room was very spacious (almost too much only for myself), but the furniture could be improved. Although it had beds for 4 people, it had very limited place to put your clothes or luggage. The "working space" (a table with a working chair) didn't have a plug nearby. So although it was good, there are small details that could be improved

I stayed in your auxiliary building and I did not participate in the breakfast, although I could have. The main point is that the rooms with their own bath and kitchen facilities, which were the only ones that I have used in several stays, are very large and comfortable compared to other hostel/hotels, and the beds are excellent. Terrific value for the money. Of course the location, 3 blocks from the National Stadium and Sabana Park, is excellent, especially for a person who likes both safety and the ability to walk/run in the mornings with other like-minded people. There are also several cute new restaurants and cafes without a few blocks that have various international or cultural themes. Your place is a treasure, keep it up!

Your sealed coffee and sugar bowls work fine for the coffee, but ants easily get into the same kind of bowls for the sugar. They walk through the place where the sealing handle is located. I put the sugar bowl in the refrigerador to stop the ants from streaming into the kitchen.

The Casa Jardin del Mango is a charming, quiet, peaceful hotel, at which I would stay again. It seems to have been a beautiful and spacious house which was converted to a unique inn. I would describe it as more of an "upscale hostel", with shared lounge, entertainment spaces, and kitchen; some rooms share a bath. It's in a safe neighborhood, but also offers a secured entry. The lush garden, with fountains and fish pond, is very relaxing; probably the highlight of the hotel.

Like a hostel, one must remember the cardinal hostel advice that "There are thieves present". (Honestly, I had unsealed restaurant leftover food stolen from the refrigerator!) So, bear in mind that some of the negative aspects of hostel lodging are applicable here. (But the hotel itself gets a 5-star rating from me!)

Friendly, accommodating staff. We needed a place to stay for a week with our dog and the location close to La Sábana park couldn't have been more perfect. Getting to use the washer and dryer was a blessing, especially as we waited for lost baggage to arrive from the airline. Very safe and nice neighborhood, there's a nice soda a few blocks away with reasonable prices and good food.

Wifi signal pretty poor in the annex apartment.

We had a fantastic time at Casa Garibaldi Monteverde. The house had everything we needed. Enough rooms for all 5 of us (we were 3 adults and 2 children); 3 bedrooms in total in the house. The beds were comfortable and large; there was enough variety of blankets to chose from according to the weather. The house had no air conditioning and did not really need one, it was a pleasure to listen to the birds instead. There was a washing machine in the house, which we did not need to use (but can be very handy if needed). The view from front of the house was gorgeous. It was a very unique experience to sit to the private lookout early in the mornings and look around to the mountains surrounded by clouds!! Annie and Johnny did everything to make our stay pleasant. For this trip of ours we ended up not renting a car and forgot to inform the hosts about it (how smart, right?....). Well, Annie made sure that we always had a driver available to take us to our activities (5 people.... not 4!). She even used her own car once to drive us!! She is a very sweet person! Anything we needed we just asked Annie. We asked Annie for restaurants, where to purchase groceries, etc. She was always ready to help! I really recommend to ask Annie about activities weeks before your trip; she will make sure you get the best! If you like wildlife, I really recommend the night and day tours with Johnny. He is a certified natural guide and he knows a lot, a lot! Thanks to Johnny, we saw all sort of exotic animals in the forest on the first night in Monteverde. Just to mention a few, we saw a slot, two tarantulas, a toucan, a beautiful green snake (venomous of course), and many birds and a kinkajou (all these at the first night! My 7-year-old was really completely taken away). The next day, Johnny took us to a day tour animal watch. It was just unbelievable. Johnny was very quick to spot animals and through his telescope we saw rare exotic animals (quetzal, for example.

Full kitchen, beautiful garden, cute dog, relaxing vibes, felt safe, very clean. Many places to sit and work. Felt like a relaxing retreat center.

A employee has to let you in each time you come and go which can take a few minutes (they don’t give you the code). There’s only 1 parking space in the garage, otherwise street parking. Bathroom is shared among 4+ rooms, but we never ran into any issues. No AC but wasn’t hot.

I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel with its beautiful open plan design and stunning internal garden. Its location close to shops and banks made everything incredibly convenient, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and convenient stay.

I enjoyed my stay near the beautiful internal garden, but some may find noise from late-night guests in communal areas if their room overlooks the garden. Requesting a quiet room may be preferable for those who are bothered by this. It wasn't a problem for me however.
