The pool is heated and very pleasant, even on a hot day. The rooms are very spacious with very comfortable beds and a great coffee maker. Breakfast was included in our stay and there was a wide choice of different types of breakfast goods. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

The location is a bit off the beaten track...difficult to access good restaurants locally without jumping in a cab or walking on some very random and unstable pathways which was challenging after dark. We chose not to stay in the centre of San Jose, but the other side of the park was much nicer and easier to negotiate. The restaurant is expensive...even with a 25% off voucher. They also charge 23% tax on food.

The room was fantastic, the pool was wonderful, and the gym was the best I've ever seen in a hotel! We also enjoyed dinner at the hotel restaurant (though the prices were a bit high).

The WiFi barely worked in our room in spite of multiple attempts to log on with help from the front desk staff. We were only able to have good access to WiFi from the lobby areas.

Nice entrance, pool was lovely, restaurant and common areas very nice, beautiful plants and art.

I found the bed sheets were too rough, pillows were too firm and large. The water in all taps sputtered heavily, sounding like air was in the pipes. Our towel hook was broken. Air conditioner struggled to cool and the ceiling fan could only be used with the light on. Possibly some black mold in the corner of room 324.

The staff was incredible! Nancy was exceptional and went above and beyond in making sure we were comfortable for the night. We were only there for one night but will definitely stay again when we are in the area. It was in a good location and the parking lot was secure so we felt very safe. We ordered room service and the gentleman who delivered it was very kind and showed us how to use the television. The food was delicious.

The breakfast that was included was okay. They got our order wrong but they took it back and fixed it. Everything was fine after that.

Staff could be more friendly and actually smile at the visitors. Breakfast was a disaster - cold lumpy disgusting scrambled eggs with the usual tico breakfast food. Nothing exciting or to rave about. Certainly not catering for international visitors. Our bedroom door would not keep closed unless it was locked from the inside.

The hotel was mid century modern, quaint and clean. The staff was outstanding and did everything possible to make the stay wonderful. The onsite restaurant was very good. Breakfast was excellent and dinners were outstanding.

The pool was a hot water pool so it was not what we expected or enjoy in a warm climate. The rooms were clean and decent; however, just small inconveniences (some rooms do not have a refrigerator, lighting is poor, no shelf in the shower, significant water noises). We would stay here again, just sharing some small frustrations.

The breakfast was the same day. They need to switch up the breakfast food each morning. We had to get maintenance to come and make the water get hot. Had to take a cold shower the first night.

The breakfast wasn’t very good at all. I’d opt to eat out next time rather than eat the free breakfast. It’s not want for options. Just not quality

The hotel breakfast is lovely a selective menu that covers all the bases + lots of coffee refills + different breakfast juice each day - it set you up for the day. The pool water is warm and the pool is sheltered The room is basic but spacious The staff are all friendly

It’s very well located. Nice pool, heated. Great outside area. Good restaurant. Helpful staff. We couldn’t do a late check out, but could use the shower in the gym before go to the airport

Very small room, had the normal room with 2 double beds. Smelled a bit moldy… absolute minimum standard in the bathroom.
