If you're looking for a great place to stay, I would definitely recommend this spot! It's super convenient to downtown and there are lots of restaurants nearby. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating, especially if you're traveling with a furry friend, my Amstaff Tyson had a great time. They really make you feel like you're part of the family! Oh, and don't even get me started on the breakfast - it's seriously out of this world. Thanks everyone for a wonderful stay!

Ultra helpful. I left my phone in my Uber. Caesar helped me so much. He even went to the friver to collect my phone. It is very central. Close to Tica Terminal. Bus stops and town. Also supermarkets Comfortable but pullows need upgrading. Some rooms do jot have charging points for cellphones and computers. I was however moved to a nice room with points after one night. You can buy Liberty sims and recharge. Laundry services Coffee on tap Water on tap Quiet and friendly.

No charging points next to bed 1st night and pillows thin and not comfy. The throw was also very rough and not comfy but suffcient. Still good value for Money.

Great value for the price. Room old and basic but clean. Lots of common area space. Breakfast was scrambled eggs, pinto rice and fried banana with coffee. Not a buffet, just fixed amount on a plate. Parking was secured by gate but only 3 spots. Most guests did not have a car so it was not an issue for us to get a spot. Must pay cash only which I do not recall seeing in booking site. Good wifi. Location is about 2km walk to the main shopping and tourist spots. We walked at night and it seemed safe so long as you use the main roads.

One person got hot water but second person got cold water. Dog barking at next door neighbour until late. No air conditioning but it was a cool day so open window was fine.

I had a wonderful stay at Hostel Gaudy. It’s run by a warm and welcoming family. The place is beautifully decorated with lots of plants, creating a cozy and peaceful atmosphere. The breakfast was delicious and lovingly prepared, and I really appreciated being able to refill my water bottle anytime. The family was incredibly helpful with anything I needed and always available to assist. I felt very comfortable and well taken care of during my stay. Highly recommended!

I had a great stay! The staff was amazing and helped me with everything. It was also very clean and felt very homey. The common area is super comfortable and the wifi never let me down. The kitchen also had everything I needed (cold drinking water!!) and breakfast was really good too. The location is a bit outside of the city center (30min walk) but very close to Tica bus station, which is why I originally chose it. Doesn’t feel very safe by night but during the day it’s totally fine. The beds had curtains and their own plugs, so that was great. Enough bathrooms and a place to leave ones bags. Only good things to say!

Everything about this hostel is very good and great value for money. Very nice and helpful staff, wifi, lockers, breakfast, socializing area everything is great, met some nice people...Big supermarket and bus to the airport very close by....Right next to it is another art hostel which charges a lot more, this is a great low cost alternative. They don't have AC but they gave me a standalone fan when I requested it. Thank you !...They have a laundry option at a reasonable price ( reasonable by costa rica standards and compared to other hostels definitely cheaper :)

Needs better quality beds and a change from the noisy squeaking metal frame of the bed...Some bathrooms are missing cloth hangers. Other than these two things the hostel is great value for money and a potential 10/10 hostel and the staff is very humble and gives a personal touch and very good vibes ....But today my rating is 8/10 :)....Loved the stay , will definitely come back if in San jose ! It had good value for the money. A decent place. But as a solo traveler girl, i dident like this so much. I was in a room with 6 other old men, so i guess this us not a place where backpackers go, which is totaly fine. Looked like it was more of a family and maybe a place where people that are working go to stay for a night.

The guy in the reception was a bit strange, i dident feel welcomed.

Wow, what an amazing place! Excellent value for money. Great staff, we stayed in the room upstairs - it was quiet with a huge bathroom and comfortable bed. Breakfast was very good and filling, coffee available all day long and filtered water as well. Lots of "lounging" space throughout the hostel. Also, the park was just few blocks away - another bonus! We liked it so much, that we are going to stay in their another location in Managua!

I love everything about Hostel Gaudys!! Not only it feels like home to me, it's also a very social hostel to meet other fellow backpackers. The staff are super nice, friendly and helpful, always there to help you with any inquiries. The hostel is clean and comfy, it's also close to the supermarkets, city buses and airport shuttle. I've stayed at Gaudys 3 times now and it is the only hostel I will stay when I'm in town! Highly recommend for lovely hostel to everyone. Thank you so much Hostel Gaudys for my amazing stays and experiences! 😘

A well worn hostel with a relaxed atmosphere. Welcoming, helpful staff. Extensive, varied common areas for chilling. Reliable wifi. Lockable lockers. Hot water in the showers. Good substantial breakfast - gallo pinto, fresh fruit, scrambled egg, plantain - very tasty + very nice endless coffee. Located in what felt like a pretty safe area with a couple of good restaurants, ATM, and supermarket within 5 -10 minute walking distance. About 20 minutes brisk walk to the centre of town.
